The receiving hook has a hook periphery and a receiving recess. The arresting hook has an arresting recess, an arresting shoulder, a transverse-joint surface and a vertically acting arresting contour. The receiving hook also has a transverse-joint surface and a form-fitting contour. The arresting hook also has a horizontal locking surface on its arresting shoulder. One variation of a system includes a garment insert: configured to be worn across a dermal surface; including a textile panel defining a grid receptacle; and including a grid structure arranged within the grid receptacle and defining an array of apertures. The system further includes a cooling unit including a heatsink structure: defining a base section defining an inner surface configured to contact the dermal surface; and defining a set of heatsink columns extending from the base section, opposite the inner surface, and configured to seat extending through the array of apertures. The cooling unit: is configured to wick moisture from the dermal surface toward surfaces of the set of heatsink columns; and includes a polymer frame, bonded to the heatsink structure about the base section, configured to abut surfaces of the base section to surfaces of the grid receptacle to flexibly retain the cooling unit within the grid receptacle.

A material engagement element sheet formed from a sheet material (10) incorporates a pattern of material engagement element slots (14), each slot containing an array of material engagement elements (20) which have a tapered distal section (30), a flange section (34) and a proximal section (32) which is attached to an edge of the slots in the sheet material.. The material engagement element sheet material may be a single layer of shape memory material, or the sheet material may be a composite of different layers some of which may include pre-strained shape memory materials with distinguishable activation parameters. The material engagement element slot configuration allows for the simultaneous processing of the material engagement elements. The material engagement elements may be processed such that they are in a state that is substantially perpendicular to the surface of the material engagement element sheet. The configuration of the flexible base material and the pattern of the material engagement element slots may be used in order to manufacture various material engagement element devices including a material engagement element pad device (166), a cylindrical material engagement element device (104, 105), and a spherical material engagement element device (152).
Absorbent articles with hook and loop fastening system
A disposable absorbent article having a fastening system with male and female components is disclosed. The female component may include a fibrous material having an overall thickness and an overall fiber cross-sectional dimension. The male component may include a plurality of hooks configured to engage the female component, the hooks having features with dimensions relating to the overall thickness and/or the overall fiber cross-sectional dimension of the fibrous material.

The invention is directed towards a retaining device for retaining at least one medical line. The retaining device includes a flexible body having a top and bottom surface with at least one slot formed in the top surface. The at least one slot extends to a depth greater than the largest medical line the retaining device is destined to be used with. An attachment mechanism is coupled to the flexible body for securing the flexible body to a supportive surface.

Flexible, water repellant, high temperature resistant, wrappable sleeve and method of construction thereof
A textile sleeve for routing and protecting an elongate member and method of construction thereof are provided. The sleeve has a wall with opposite edges extending lengthwise between opposite ends. The edges are configured to be wrapped about a central longitudinal axis to bound the elongate member within an enclosed cavity. The wall is formed of interlaced heat-resistant yarn with at least one hook-type fastener member along one of the edges and at least one loop-type fastener member along the other of the edges. The hook-type fastener member and the loop-type fastener member are configured to attach with one another to maintain the opposite edges in releasably fixed, overlapping relation with one another.

A method of making a mechanical fastening net. The method includes providing a net having strands of polymer and open areas between the strands of polymer and molding a portion of the polymer in the strands of the net into upstanding posts to form the mechanical fastening net. A mechanical fastening net that includes a polymeric backing, a plurality of openings in the polymeric backing, and upstanding posts on at least one of the first or second major surface of the polymeric backing is also disclosed. The polymeric backing has a range of thicknesses ranging from minimum to maximum thickness, and for at least a portion of the polymeric backing, the minimum thickness of the polymeric backing is where it abuts one of the openings.

A reusable insulation wrap for insulating and protecting an article, the wrap comprising a multilayer insulation member having a nylon protective layer adapted to be abrasion and moisture resistant to prevent damage to the other layers, a polymerized chloroprene stretchable layer adapted to resist moisture and having first and second edges and sized to closely encircle the article, a closed cell foam insulative layer, a foil reflective layer affixed to the closed cell foam adapted outside thereof, a flame retardant and an ultraviolet protectant in one of the layers and a hook and loop fastener adapted to cooperatively engage and maintain desired position on the article, whereby, the wrap is stretched around the article to fit snugly in place minimizing influence of the outside environment including temperature fluctuations, moisture, and debris on the article.
