DIGITAL BINDER AND POWDER PRINT
A method and equipment to form a digital print by applying dry colourants on a surface of a panel, bonding a part of the colourants with a binder and removing the non-bonded colourants from the surface. The method of forming a digital print on a surface of a panel includes displacing the panel under a digital drop application head, applying a liquid binder with the digital drop application head on the surface; applying colourants on the liquid binder and the surface; bonding a part of the colourants to the surface with the liquid binder; removing non-bonded colourants from the surface such that a digital print is formed by the bonded colourants; and applying heat and pressure on the panel, the surface and the bonded colorants such that the colourants are permanently bonded to the surface.
FORMALDEHYDE-FREE PROTEIN-CONTAINING BINDER COMPOSITIONS
One-part thermosetting binder compositions are described that may include soy protein, a first crosslinking compound, and a second crosslinking compound different from the first crosslinking compound. Upon curing, the first and second crosslinking compounds covalently bond to each other and to the soy protein to form a thermoset binder. Also describe are fiber-containing products that include a plurality of fibers and a formaldehyde-free binder. The formaldehyde-free binder is formed from a one-part, thermosetting binder composition that includes soy protein, a first crosslinking compound, and a second crosslinking compound different from the first crosslinking compound. Upon curing, the first and second crosslinking compounds covalently bond to each other and to the soy protein to form a thermoset binder.
Fibre based panels with a wear resistance surface
Building panels with a homogenous decorative surface having a wear layer comprising fibers, binders and wear resistant particles.
Digital printing with transparent blank ink
A method, a panel and equipment to form a digital print by applying dry ink, preferably including particles of pigment coated wood fibres, on a surface, bonding a part of the particles with a liquid blank ink drops and removing the non-bonded particles from the surface. A panel having a surface with a wood grain dcor, the panel including a first surface portion that is formed by a continuous basic layer including wood fibres having a first color, and a second surface portion that is formed by wood fibres having a second color, wherein the wood fibres having the second color are applied on and bonded to the continuous basic layer, and wherein the second surface portion covers a part of the first surface portion.
Core layer having wood elements, in particular wood elements having a corrugated structure
A core layer suitable for a multilayer composite including at least one surface layer and one core layer, the surface layer arranged to at least partially cover the core layer and be fixedly connected thereto, wherein the core layer has elements composed of wood, which elements have plate-like regions arranged in zig-zag-shaped fashion, wherein a plate-like zig region of an element with an adjoining plate-like zag region of the element form a common edge between them, in such a way that the wood element of zig-zag-shaped form is formed, wherein elements of zig-zag-shaped form are arranged in the core layer such that two such edges of two different elements cross one another at a non-zero angle, and wherein the two elements are fixedly connected to one another at the crossing point. In one embodiment, a wood element of zig-zag-shaped form may be adhesively bonded to a planar wood element.
