LIQUID MEDICINE ADMINISTRATION DEVICE
20220008648 · 2022-01-13 · ·

A liquid medicine administration device is configured to reduce the load on the power supply at the start of use and includes: a drive mechanism that advances a plunger that pushes a liquid medicine from a liquid medicine container filled with the liquid medicine toward a distal end opening of the liquid medicine container; and a control unit that controls operation of the drive mechanism, in which the drive mechanism includes a motor that applies, to the plunger, a drive force for advancing the plunger, and an encoder that detects a rotation of the motor, and when driving the drive mechanism, the control unit starts the encoder after starting the motor.

LIQUID MEDICINE ADMINISTRATION DEVICE

This liquid medicine administration device includes a liquid medicine container, a gasket for expelling the liquid medicine in the liquid medicine container, a plunger that moves the gasket, a housing, a drive mechanism that advances the plunger, and a rotation restriction unit that restricts rotation of the plunger. The drive mechanism includes a motor and a feed screw. The plunger includes: a threaded portion threadedly engaged with the feed screw; and a plunger body that advances with feed screw rotation and that moves the gasket, while rotation of the plunger relative to the housing is restricted by the rotation restriction unit. The plunger includes a canceling mechanism that cancels transmission of a pressing force from the plunger body to the gasket when the plunger body receives an axial reaction force equal to or greater than a preset pressing force from the gasket during advancement with the feed screw rotation.

Attachment band for a fluid delivery apparatus and method of use

An attachment band for a fluid delivery apparatus includes an annular body having a wall defining a hollow inner space, an adjacent pair of attachment apertures extending through the wall, and an indicator aperture extending through the wall opposite the pair of attachment apertures. The indicator aperture includes an indicator portion that is configured to present an indication to a user of the fluid delivery apparatus of a tightness of the attachment band. A first strap extends radially outward from the annular body of the attachment band and is substantially aligned with the attachment apertures. A second strap extends radially outward from the annular body and is substantially aligned with the indicator aperture.

Drive mechanisms for drug delivery pumps

A drive mechanism (100) for use with a drug container (50) in a drug pump, the drug container (50) having a barrel (58) and a plunger seal (60), including a tether, an electrical actuator (101) and a gear interface. Rotation of the gear interface is controlled by the actuator (101). A gear assembly rotationally engages with the gear interface. The gear assembly includes a main gear and a regulating mechanism. Release of the tether is metered by the gear assembly through the regulating mechanism. A piston (110, 1110, 2110) is connected to the tether and is disposed in the barrel (58) and configured to translate axially within the container. A biasing member is disposed at least partially within the barrel (58) and is retained in an energized state between the piston (110, 1110, 2110) and drive housing, wherein the release of the tether controls the free expansion of the biasing member from its energized state and the axial translation of the piston (110, 1110, 2110).

Method for dynamic pressure control in a fluid injector system

A method for dynamic pressure control during a multiphase injection is described wherein the pressures of fluids in the various reservoirs of a fluid delivery system are controlled to provide desired fluid delivery parameters. The methods include advancing the first drive member to expel the first fluid from the first reservoir into a conduit, wherein the fluid is pressurized to a first fluid pressure; measuring the first fluid pressure to provide a target value; while the second reservoir is in fluid isolation from the conduit, advancing or retracting the second drive member to increase or decrease the fluid pressure of the second fluid in the second reservoir to the target value; placing the second reservoir in fluid communication with the conduit; and advancing the second drive member to expel the second fluid from the second reservoir into the conduit.

Tube crimping arrangement for drug delivery device

A drug delivery system for injecting a medicament is provided. The system includes a container configured to receive a medicament; a drive assembly which, upon actuation, is configured to expel the medicament from the container; a needle for injecting the medicament to a patient; a fluid path assembly comprising a tube in fluid communication with the container and the needle for conducting fluid from the container to the needle; and a tube crimping arrangement configured to engage the tube to block fluid flow through the tube.
