Described is a venting device including a flexible outer covering defining an outer surface and an inner surface, a set oc of helicoidal venting strips, and a set of helicoidal buffers. The outer covering has a first end and a second end and a longitudinal axis therebetween. Each venting strip is anchored to the inner surface and extends substantially between the first end and the second end and the set of venting strips is arranged substantially helicoidal and defines a set of helicoidal seams therebetween. The set of helicoidal buffers includes a buffer covering an inner opening of each seam of the set of helicoidal seams where eachbuffer is configured to shield the inner opening of the corresponding seam from penetration and each buffer is anchored to at least one of the outer covering and a neighbouring venting strip of the set of venting strips.

A textile including a radiant barrier, the textile comprising a proximal side and a distal side. The textile also comprising a first substrate and a second substrate. The first substrate disposed distally of the second substrate. An insulation layer disposed adjacent to the second substrate; and wherein at least one of the first substrate and the second substrate is a radiant barrier, and wherein the radiant barrier has an average thickness of between 20 nm to 150 nm.

Molded product

A molded product includes a body including a flat part and a projection protruding from the flat part, a design member including a design surface, and an adhesive member sticking the design member to the body. The adhesive member includes a buffer portion formed by cutting off a part of the adhesive member at a position corresponding at least to the projection. Thus, the adhesive member negates differences in level on the body, allowing the design surface to be smooth.

CORDLESS HEATING PAD

A heating pad includes a heat pad with an anterior and posterior side. The heat pad includes a first layer, a second layer, and a third layer. The second layer is located in between the first layer and the third layer. The first layer is located on the posterior side, while the third layer is located on the anterior side. The second layer has a wire selectively heated to increase the temperature of the heat pad. The third layer is a reflective material positioned to reflect heat from the second layer towards the first layer, decreasing heat emitted on the anterior side of the heat pad. The heating pad also includes a battery storage section for securing a battery. The battery is in electronical communication with the wire of the heat pad. The heating pad further includes an engagement mechanism to secure the heating pad to a user.

Laminated, leak-resistant chemical processors, methods of making, and methods of operating

The invention provides methods of making laminated devices (especially microchannel devices) in which plates are assembled and welded together. Unlike conventional microchannel devices, the inventive laminated devices can be made without brazing or diffusion bonding; thus providing significant advantages for manufacturing. Features such as expansion joints and external welded supports are also described. Laminated devices and methods of conducting unit operations in laminated devices are also described.

Multi-layer thermoplastic films and bags with enhanced light transmittance and methods for making the same

Implementations described herein include films with maintained or decreased light transmittance despite a reduction in gauge. In particular, one or more implementations include a multi-layer film with each layer having differing opacity agents. The combination of the two different opacity agents in two different layers can have a synergistic effect that provide decreased light transmittance. Indeed, in one or more embodiments a multi-layer film with differing opacity agents in each layer has a decreased light transmittance despite a reduction in gauge and opacity agents.
