URINE COLLECTION SYSTEMS AND ASSOCIATED METHODS AND DEVICES
Urine collection systems and associated methods and devices are disclosed herein. A representative system can include a urine collection device, a flow control assembly configured to direct a urine flow from the patient to the urine collection device, and a urine measurement device including a first sensor and a second sensor. The first sensor is configured to generate first sensor data based on a weight of the container, and the second sensor is configured to generate second sensor data based on the urine flow from the patient to the container. The system can further include non-transitory computer readable media having instructions that, when executed by one or more processors, cause the system to perform operations comprising determining a first patient urine output based on the first sensor data; and determining a second patient urine output based on the second sensor data.
AMBULATORY INFUSION PUMP DEVICE WITH INTEGRATED SENSOR
Integrated sensor and infusion devices are disclosed herein. The present technology includes, for example, an integrated sensor and infusion device for sensing physiological parameter(s) and delivering a medicament to a body of a user based at least in part on the sensed parameter(s). The device can comprise an insertion assembly comprising a carrier assembly comprising a cannula carrier, a trocar assembly removably coupled to the carrier assembly, and a drive assembly comprising a torsion spring coupled to the trocar assembly such that, when actuated, the torsion spring rotates to drive the trocar assembly and the carrier assembly axially downward to insert an infusion cannula and sensor electrode into a user's skin. The drive assembly can comprise a plurality of coupled drive wheels and/or a scissor assembly with multiple interacting links.
METALLIC SUPPORT STRUCTURE IN THE DRIVE ARM/HEAD OF A MEDICAL FLUID PUMP
A medical fluid pump, in particular a syringe pump, includes a housing and a drive head linearly movable toward the housing via a tubular or rod-shaped drive arm. The drive head has a drive head lower shell facing the housing and a drive head upper shell turned away from the housing. A metallic support structure in the form of a plate is accommodated in an interior space formed by the drive head lower shell and the drive head upper shell and is directly fixed to the drive head lower shell and to a free end portion of the tubular or rod-shaped drive arm.
MEDICAL FLUID PUMP WITH A CARRYING HANDLE AND SUPPORTING OR HOLDING DEVICE FOR A MEDICAL FLUID PUMP
A medical fluid pump has a housing, a front lid pivotably hinged to the housing, and a carrying handle. The carrying handle, which may have a bow-shaped design, is pivotably hinged to two opposing side faces of the housing. The carrying handle is hinged to the housing such that a handle portion of the carrying handle lies, in a swiveled-out state, in a direction of gravity substantially over a center of gravity of the fluid pump.
MEDICAL FLUID PUMP COMPRISING DISPLAY UNIT
A medical fluid pump of the infusion or syringe pump design includes a fluid pump housing which includes a display unit, in particular a display or touch display, with a plurality of display panels that are prepared and configured to display at least one respective function parameter of the fluid pump, including at least one setting parameter which can be set directly by a user of the fluid pump and a plurality of operating parameters which cannot be set directly by the user. The representation of the at least one setting parameter stands out visually against the operating parameters, such as by displaying the at least one setting parameter in an enlarged size compared to the operating parameters.
ARRANGEMENT OF OPERATING ELEMENTS AND DISPLAYS IN A MEDICAL PUMP SYSTEM
A medical pump system includes at least one medical fluid pump of a first type and at least one medical fluid pump of a second type. The medical fluid pumps can be assembled or arranged vertically, with one of the medical fluid pumps positioned above the other. Each medical fluid pump has a movable front flap with an integrated display and operating elements. The medical fluid pumps can be directly connected to one another in a vertical arrangement, or arranged in a vertical arrangement with the aid of a carrying or holding device. When the medical fluid pumps are vertically arranged, the displays and operating elements of the respective medical fluid pumps are aligned vertically.
ANTI-TWIST BEARING OF A RETENTION ARM OF A MEDICAL SYRINGE PUMP
A medical syringe pump includes a housing and a drive head movable linearly to the housing by a tube-shaped or rod-shaped retention arm for actuating a syringe inserted in the housing, for which purpose the retention arm is connected in an axially fixed manner with an advance carriage and is in engagement with an advance spindle via the advance carriage. The medical syringe pump includes a twist protection which protects the advance carriage from twisting about the axis of the retention arm.
Drug delivery device with vacuum assisted securement and/or feedback
A drug delivery device includes a housing with at least one pressure communication channel or aperture, which distributes a negative fluid pressure across its base to draw tissue against the device. The device can also include a porous, adhesive layer over the channel(s) or aperture(s), for attaching to tissue. The device can also include a pressure sensor for determining whether there is proper attachment. Further, a bladder may be used instead of the adhesive layer for attaching the device. The bladder, in a partially inflated state, can apply constant pressure across a contact surface causing a flexible adhesive layer attached to the bladder to confirm and adhere to the tissue. Subsequent evacuation of the bladder causes it to deflate and collapse or retract, thereby causing the flexible adhesive layer to pull and stretch the tissue toward the base.
Pump device comprising a storage device for receiving a handset
A pump device (1) for administering a medical fluid to a patient (4), comprises a housing 5 (10), a pumping mechanism (12) for pumping a medical fluid through an infusion line (3) toward a patient (4), and a handset (16) for entering a control command for controlling an operation of the pumping mechanism (12). Herein, a storage device (15) is arranged on the housing (10) and comprises a receptacle (150) defining a cavity (151) therein for receiving the handset (16). In this way a pump device is provided which allows for improved comfort in particular when using the pump device in a healthcare environment, for example at the bedside of a patient.
Sensor system
The disclosure relates to a sensor system for detecting a position of a movable plunger in a drug delivery device, the sensor system comprising a sensor capable of detecting a magnetic field, the sensor adapted to be fixed within a housing of a drug delivery device, and a ferromagnetic or permanent magnetic component magnetically interacting with the sensor and adapted to move relative to the sensor as the plunger is moved.
