Method of seaming carpet
10085580 · 2018-10-02 ·

A method for joining two carpet segments, each carpet segment having an underside and at least one edge, comprises abutting one edge of one carpet segment with one edge of the other carpet segment, positioning a length of seam tape under the abutting edges, and activating the adhesive to secure the seam tape to the undersides of both carpet segments. The seam tape comprises an elongated base layer being resilient in a transverse direction, an intervening layer applied to the base layer, and an adhesive applied to the intervening layer.

An electronic in-mold label includes a substrate having a first surface and a second surface. The substrate includes an electronics mounting area on the second surface and an electronic circuit positioned in the electronics mounting area. When the electronic in-mold label is molded on to, or into, a plastic product, the electronic circuit is molded into the plastic product and is operable to perform a function.

Method for producing printed wiring board

Printed wiring boards, in which the insulating layer exhibits excellent peel strength with respect to a conductive layer after a roughening treatment, even when using a resin composition having a high content of inorganic filler, may be obtained by: (A) laminating, onto an internal layer substrate, an adhesive sheet which includes a support and a resin composition layer in contact with the support, so that the resin composition layer is in contact with the internal layer substrate; (B) thermally curing the resin composition layer to form an insulating layer; and (C) removing the support, when the support satisfies certain conditions (TD1) and (TD2) in a TD direction thereof when it is heated under specific heating conditions.

Label assembly and method of using the same to label articles durably yet removably

A label assembly and method of using the same to label articles durably, yet removably. In one embodiment, the method includes providing an image removing laminate. The image removing laminate includes (i) a remover support, and (ii) a remover layer secured to the remover support, the remover layer, upon being activated by at least one of heat and light, being bondable to an ink image on a garment in such a way that the bonding between the remover layer and the ink image is stronger than the bonding between the ink image and the garment. The method then includes bonding the remover layer of the image removing laminate to the ink image on the garment and, then, detaching the ink image from the garment by separating the image removing laminate away from the garment.

Adhesive tape and solar assembly and article made thereof

The invention provides a frameless photo-energy assembly including a photo-energy converter, wherein an edge of the photo-energy converter is sealed by an adhesive tape, comprising an adhering layer for adhesion and cushioning; and an aging-resistant protective layer. The adhering layer is used to contact the edge of an article and comprises: a substrate layer; optionally, a first adhesive layer and a second adhesive layer situated at both sides of the substrate layer oppositely, wherein the first adhesive layer being used to be contact with the article. The aging-resistant protective layer is situated on the adhering layer, which comprises: an optional primer layer, which is situated on the adhering layer; and a film layer, which is situated on either the primer layer or the substrate or the second adhesive layer. The invention further provides an adhesive tape for sealing an edge of an article and an article made of the assembly.

High-stretch energy curable inks and method of use in heat transfer label applications

Provided are energy curable high-stretch inks and coatings for heat transfer labels. The inks and coatings include monofunctional monomers/oligomers, thermoplastic inert resins, and zero or a limited amount of multifunctional monomers/oligomers and exhibit good stretchability and surface resistance, such as scratch resistance and solvent (water, oil) resistance. Also provided are methods of using the high stretch inks in heat-transfer label (HTL) applications.

Three-Dimensional Printed Composite Articles

A 3D object according to the invention comprises substrate layers infiltrated by a hardened material. The 3D object is fabricated by a method comprising the following steps: Position powder on all or part of a substrate layer. Repeat this step for the remaining substrate layers. Stack the substrate layers. Transform the powder into a substance that flows and subsequently hardens into the hardened material. The hardened material solidifies in a spatial pattern that infiltrates positive regions in the substrate layers and does not infiltrate negative regions in the substrate layers. In a preferred embodiment, the substrate is carbon fiber and excess substrate is removed by abrasion.
