PANELS OF MEDIUM DENSITY FIBREBOARD

Disclosed are panels of medium density fibreboard (MDF). The panels comprise wood fibres, the largest dimension of which is 7 mm or below, pressed together with an adhesive. The panels are of a large and thin type, having an aspect ratio of at least 100 and a surface area of at least 1 m.sup.2. Typical problems associated with such large and thin panels, e.g. warping behaviour, are addressed by employing wood fibres are made of acetylated wood.

Method of producing a veneered element

A method of producing a veneered element, including providing a substrate, applying a sub-layer on a surface of the substrate, applying a veneer layer on the sub-layer, and applying pressure to the veneer layer and/or the substrate, such that at least a portion of the sub-layer permeates through the veneer layer. Also, such a veneered element.

PANEL COATING

A method for coating of a floor panel and a floor panel produced by the method. A method for producing a laminated product, for example a building panel, preferably a floor panel. The method includes applying a paper on one side of a wood fiber based core, e.g., an HDF panel, creating a dcor on the paper by a digital printing process, applying a resin, preferably a melamine formaldehyde resin, on the paper, heating the dcor and the paper with the resin, preferably by using an IR lamp; and applying heat and pressure in order to cure the resin and thereby obtain a laminated product. Also, alternative methods for producing a laminated product, and such a laminated product.

SYSTEM FOR AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURING HEMP PRODUCTS
20190283269 · 2019-09-19 ·

A manufactured hemp product comprising a plurality of adhesively bonded and pressed hemp strands where the majority of the hemp strands are of generally the same length and comprise a naturally-occurring, generally elongate internal structure extending generally along one axis of the strand that has been at least partially laterally broken and at least permeated by an adhesive. The hemp strands are oriented roughly parallel to one another along their length. The manufactured hemp product comprises an amount of adhesive between about 5% to about 49% by weight. The manufactured hemp product can be used as a wood substitute in terms of appearance and performance. The manufactured hemp products may have aesthetic and structural qualities that are suitable for high traffic, high visibility applications such as boards, blocks, beams, panels, flooring, furniture, building materials and other wood products.

A method for producing a laminated body including a base material and a coating layer laminated on the base material, includes: applying a coating liquid containing cellulose nanofibers onto the base material composed of at least acid-resistant paper, thereby forming the coating layer. In addition, an average fiber diameter of the cellulose nanofibers is 2 nm or more and 2000 nm or less, a content of the cellulose nanofibers in the coating liquid is 10 mass % or more of solid contents of the coating liquid, and a coating amount of the coating layer is 0.2 g/m.sup.2 or more in dry mass.

Sheet, board or panel

Sheet, board or panel, in particular an OSRB (1)Oriented Structural Reed Boardcomprising a layer of material (2) made up of pressed reeds having a multiplicity of stems which are split predominantly longitudinally, so that it is also the case that the insides of the stems, at least in part, are accessible to a binder, wherein the binder is able to hold together the reeds for forming a solid sheet, board or panel. It is thus possible to provide a biocomposite sheet, board or panel based on sustainable raw materials which has improved properties and strength and requires only a particularly low level of production outlay. A further aspect of the invention relates to a method for producing an OSRB (1).
