INFUSION DEVICE
The present invention relates to an infusion device comprising a clamp having a through hole that is configured to allow an infusion tube to pass through therethrough, and further having a baffle wall; a block having a mounting hole and an opening; a pressure member pivoted to the block and configured to press towards the baffle wall and close the infusion tube, wherein a position of the opening corresponds to the pressure member; and a handle pivoted to the block and having a protrusion that is configured to pass through the opening and push up against the pressure member so as to make the pressure member away from the baffle wall when the handle rotates towards the block around an axis, so that the infusion tube is no longer closed by pressing of the pressure member.
INFUSION APPARATUS
An infusion apparatus includes a fixture body, a tube socket and a buckling device. The fixture body has a first and a second ends along a first direction. The fixture body has a through hole. Two first protruding pieces are located at the second end along a second direction perpendicular with the first direction. The fixture body penetrates through and is slidable relative with the tube socket which has two grooves along the second direction. The buckling device includes a machine body and two hooking structures. The machine body has a mounting hole. The hooking structures are disposed at opposite sides of the mounting hole and respectively include a hook and a second protruding piece. The hooks buckle within the grooves. A shortest distance between the second protruding pieces is less than a longest distance between the first protruding pieces.
ENTERAL FEEDING PUMP SYSTEMS, VALVE ASSEMBLIES THEREFOR AND FLUID FLOW CONTROL METHODS FOR SAME
Enteral feeding pump systems valves assemblies therefor and related fluid flow control methods. The system includes a disposable fluid delivery set with an integral peristaltic tube section and an enteral feeding pump. The system may also include a pinching mechanism for regulating the flow of nutrient formula or water out of the fluid delivery set. Also disclosed is a flow selector valve assembly for an enteral feeding pump system, the valve assembly including a tube adapter having two input flexible tubing channels and one output tubing channel and being configured to position the flexible tubing channels in relation with a receiver. The receiver has an eccentric bearing that is moveable between a first position in which neither of the input flexible tubing channels is compressed, and a second position in which the eccentric bearing compresses one of the input flexible tubing channels therein to prevent flow therethrough.
Systems, methods, and components for trapping air bubbles in medical fluid transfer modules and systems
Bubble traps for use in medical fluid lines and medical fluid bubble trap systems are disclosed herein. In some embodiments, the bubble trap is configured to trap gas (e.g., air) that flows into the bubble trap from a fluid line. In some embodiments, the bubble trap includes an inlet and an outlet and a chamber between the inlet and the outlet. For example, in some embodiments, the bubble trap is configured to inhibit gas from flowing into the outlet once gas flows into the chamber from the inlet. In some embodiments, the bubble trap is in fluid communication with a source container, a destination container, and/or a patient.
System, method, and apparatus for clamping
A support system is disclosed that includes a holding structure, a clamp assembly, and a device coupled to the frame of the clamp assembly. The holding structure includes a top portion, a base portion and an intermediate rod portion. The clamp assembly clamps to the intermediate rod portion of the holding structure. The clamp assembly includes a frame, a latch, one or more gear plates, one or more handles, and one or more bias members.
Variable Fluid Flow Rate Control Device
A flow selector having features for controlling the flow rate of a fluid over a continuous range of flow rates is provided. In particular, a flow selector including a flow rate selection mechanism is provided, where the flow rate selection mechanism provides more precise control of the fluid flow rate. A flow selector comprising a needle valve for controlling the flow rate of a fluid over a continuous range of flow rates also is provided.
PRECISION ROLLER CLAMP ASSEMBLY
A roller clamp assembly for adjusting the fluid flow rate in a flexible infusion tube is provided. The roller clamp assembly includes a housing to receive the flexible tube, a plate slideably engaged with the housing and configured to rapidly compress the flexible tube to provide a coarse fluid flow adjustment, and a roller wheel moveable engaged with the housing and configured to provide a gradual fluid flow adjustment. The plate may be a slide plate received by grooves in an exterior wall of the housing, where the plate moves orthogonally to the flexible tube, or the plate may be a shim plate that moves along an interior wall of the housing in parallel to the flexible tube. Infusion sets and methods of adjusting fluid flow rates are also provided.
NEEDLE SAFETY SYSTEMS
Tissue access devices and methods of using and making the same are disclosed. The devices can have a needle, a housing having wings, a tube having a flow channel, a tube first extension, and a tube second extension, and a torsion spring having a first coil and a second coil. The first coil can have a first coil first arm and a first coil second arm. The first coil first arm can be shorter than the first coil second arm. The second coil can have a second coil first arm and a second coil second arm. The second coil first arm can be shorter than the second coil second arm. The devices can have a sensor. More energy can stored in the torsion spring when the sensor is in a sensor closed configuration than when the sensor is in a sensor open configuration.
Sterile fluid pathway connection to drug containers for drug delivery pumps
A user-initiated fluid pathway connection includes: a connection hub, a piercing member, a sterile sleeve, and a drug container having a cap, a pierceable seal, a barrel, and a plunger seal, wherein the piercing member is initially retained within the sterile sleeve between the connection hub and the pierceable seal of the drug container. The connection hub may include an internal aperture within the connection hub which functions as a flow restrictor and wherein a piercing member is connected to one end of the internal aperture and a fluid conduit is connected to another end of the internal aperture. A drug delivery pump with integrated sterility maintenance features includes a housing, upon which an activation mechanism, an insertion mechanism, a fluid pathway connection as described above, a power and control system, and a drive mechanism connected to a drug container are mounted. Methods of assembly and operation are also provided.
Screw control medical fluid flow manifolds
Fluid flow manifold assemblies for use in fluid flow sets are provided. The fluid flow manifold assembly includes a body having a main fluid channel and a reinforcing plate, the main fluid channel having a fluid inlet, a fluid outlet and a drug port. A flow control assembly is disposed opposite the main fluid channel from the drug port. The flow control assembly is configured to shut off fluid flow through the drug port into the main fluid channel with a plunger of the flow control assembly in a closed position and to allow incremental levels of fluid flow through the drug port into the main fluid channel by variably retracting the plunger based on rotation of a knob of the flow control assembly.
