Fiber reinforced resin matrix composite laminates are provided comprising: at least one layer of fiber reinforced resin matrix comprising a cured resin matrix; and a surfacing construction bound to the cured resin matrix and forming a surface of the laminate, comprising: at least one barrier layer; and at least one cured adhesive layer derived from high temperature cure adhesive. In some embodiments, barrier layer(s) may be substantially impermeable to organic solvents, water, and/or gasses. In another aspect, fiber reinforced resin matrix composite laminates are provided comprising: a) at least one layer of fiber reinforced resin matrix comprising a cured resin matrix; and b) a surfacing construction bound to the cured resin matrix and forming a surface of the laminate, comprising: at least one barrier layer; and at least one electrically conductive layer. In another aspect, a surfacing construction is provided comprising a barrier layer and a curable adhesive layer.

The present invention relates to adhesives that are suitable for use as electrically conductive materials in the fabrication of electronic devices, integrated circuits, semiconductor devices, solar cells and/or solar modules. The adhesives comprise at least one resin component, at least one nitrogen-containing curative, at least one low melting point metal filler, and optionally at least one electrically conductive filler, which is different from the metal filler.

Fiber reinforced resin matrix composite laminates are provided comprising: at least one layer of fiber reinforced resin matrix comprising a cured resin matrix; and a surfacing construction bound to the cured resin matrix and forming a surface of the laminate, comprising: at least one barrier layer; and at least one cured adhesive layer derived from high temperature cure adhesive. In some embodiments, barrier layer(s) may be substantially impermeable to organic solvents, water, and/or gasses. A tire comprising an outer tread layer, intermediate sidewall and carcass layers and an innermost air permeation prevention layer: (i) the air permeation prevention (APP) layer having an upper and a lower surface, the layer having a polymer composition exhibiting an air permeation coefficient (APC) of about 2510.sup.12 cc cm/cm.sup.2 sec cmHg (at 30 C.) or less and a Young's modulus of about 1 MPa to about 500 MPa, the polymer composition comprising: (A) at least 10 wt % of at least one thermoplastic resin component having an APC of about 2510.sup.12 cc cm/cm.sup.2 sec cmHg (at 30 C.) or less and a Young's modulus of more than 500 MPa, which is preferably a polyamide resin or mixture, and (B) at least 10 wt % of at least one elastomer component having an APC of more than about 2510.sup.12 cc cm/cm.sup.2 sec cmHg (at 30 C.) and a Young's modulus of not more than 500 MPa, which elastomer component is preferably a halogen-containing rubber or mixture, the total amount (A)+(B) being not less than about 30 wt %, and the elastomer component is a dispersed vulcanized, discontinuous phase in the thermoplastic resin matrix; and (ii) at least one thermoplastic laminate layer bonded to at least said lower surface of the APP layer, the thermoplastic layer comprising a film-forming, semi-crystalline, substantially hydrophobic carbon chain polymer having a glass transition temperature, Tg, of less than about 20 C.

Protection barriers and methods for making and using same

Protection barriers, such as floor protection barriers, and methods for making and using same. The protection barrier can include a base sheet and an energy absorbing layer. The base sheet can have two or more paperboard layers and one or more sizing layers. A first paperboard layer can form a first surface of the base sheet, a second paperboard layer can form a second surface of the base sheet, and the one or more sizing layers can be disposed between the first and second paperboard layers. The energy absorbing layer can be secured to the second paperboard layer.

The present disclosure relates to a polarizing plate including an adhesive layer, a primer layer and a polyethylene terephthalate film which are sequentially formed on at least one side of a polarizer, wherein the adhesive layer in the present disclosure is formed by an active energy ray-curable adhesive including a first epoxy compound of which a homopolymer has a glass transition temperature of 120 C. or higher, a second epoxy compound of which a homopolymer has a glass transition temperature of 60 C. or lower, and a cationic photopolymerization initiator, and wherein the primer layer is formed by a primer composition including one or more binder resins selected from the group consisting of polyester and polyvinyl alcohol-based resins, and one or more cross-linking agents selected from the group consisting of acrylic cross-linking agents, epoxy-based cross-linking agents and polyvinyl alcohol-based cross-linking agents.
