NEEDLE MECHANISM MODULE FOR DRUG INFUSION DEVICE
A needle mechanism module for drug infusion device, includes: an infusion needle, provided with a front end and a rear end; a needle holder; provided with at least an auxiliary engaging part, the infusion needle being arranged on the needle holder, when the needle holder is at the working position, the rear end is inserted into the skin, and the front end is connected to the drug storage unit of the infusion device; an auxiliary engaging portion, arranged within the infusion device, engaged with the auxiliary engaging part to limit the needle holder at the working position; and a stopper, arranged on the housing of the infusion device, when the needle mechanism module is at intermediate position, the stopper limits the position of the needle holder, the front end is connected with the drug storage unit of the infusion device, to balance the internal and external pressures.
DEVICE, METHOD, AND SYSTEM FOR ACCURATE DELIVERY OF FLUSH INFUSION
A syringe pump determines, upon receiving a new syringe, that at least a first portion of a predetermined amount of a first fluid was previously delivered by the syringe pump according to a first fluid delivery order before the new syringe was loaded into the syringe pump, and determines a second portion of the first fluid remaining to be delivered to complete the predetermined amount of the first fluid for the first fluid delivery order. A delivery of a second fluid is initiated by the syringe pump and, when an amount of the second fluid delivered from the new syringe satisfies the second portion of the first fluid remaining to be delivered, the pump automatically, without user intervention, indicates the first fluid delivery order as being complete, de-associates the first fluid delivery order from the syringe pump, and associates the syringe pump with the second fluid delivery order.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR DELIVERING MICRODOSES OF MEDICATION
Devices, systems, and methods are provided herein for delivering medication (e.g., insulin) via a wearable pump having a patch-style form factor for adhesion to a user's body. The reusable pump may be coupled to a disposable cap housing a microdosing system for delivering precise, repeatable doses of medication to a cannula configured to deliver medication to a target infusion area beneath the user's outer skin layer. The system further may include an applicator for inserting the cannula into the user's skin and/or applying an adhesive pad to the skin.
Supplementary Device for Attachment to an Injection Device
A device configured to be attached to an injection device includes a wireless communication unit and a sensor. The device is configured to activate the sensor in response to a receipt via the wireless communication unit of a wireless communication from an external device. The device is also configured, following activation of the sensor, to use the sensor to detect one or both of a start and an end of an injection by the injection device. The device is also configured to communicate, via the wireless communication unit, one or both of the start and the end of the injection to the external device.
INFUSION NEEDLE STRUCTURE OF DRUG INFUSION DEVICE
An infusion needle structure of drug infusion device includes: an infusion needle including a front end and a back end; a needle holder provided with at least one auxiliary fastener; one fastening portion, arranged inside the infusion device, cooperates with the auxiliary fastener to lock the needle holder in the working position; an unlock hole provided on the needle holder or on the housing of the infusion device; and an unlock rod that is inserted into the unlock hole and pushed, thus releasing and resetting the needle holder. The infusion needle is able to reset and released when the infusion device is during replacement.
Infusion system and components thereof
Multi-medicament infusion systems prevent cross-channeling of medicaments. A system may include one or more of an infusion pump, medicament reservoirs, a multi-channel fluid conduit, and an infusion set. Medicament reservoirs and/or collars may be sized and shaped differently such that the medicament reservoirs can only be inserted into the system under selected configurations.
Flow indicator for an infusion pump
Systems and methods are provided for signaling a condition of an infusion assembly. A system may comprise an elastomeric pump that includes a chamber for receipt of a volume of fluid, an outer layer configured to expand and contract as the chamber receives and dispenses fluid, and a passive indicator provided on the outer layer for signaling a change in the volume of fluid in the chamber. The system further may comprise an image capture device configured to capture an image of the pump, and a processing system configured to process the image to signal the condition of the infusion assembly to a user of the system. A method may comprise capturing an image of a pump; processing the image; and displaying information to a user of the pump to communicate the condition of the pump to the user. Elastomeric pumps for infusion assemblies also are provided.
INFUSION SYSTEM WHICH UTILIZES ONE OR MORE SENSORS AND ADDITIONAL INFORMATION TO MAKE AN AIR DETERMINATION REGARDING THE INFUSION SYSTEM
In one step of a method for infusing an infusion fluid, the infusion fluid is pumped through a fluid delivery line of an infusion system. In another step, measurements are taken with at least one sensor connected to the infusion system. In an additional step, an air determination is determined with at least one processor. The air determination is related to air in the fluid delivery line. The air determination is based on the measurements taken by the at least one sensor. The air determination is further based on: (1) medication information regarding the infusion fluid or infusion information regarding the infusion of the infusion fluid; or (2) multi-channel filtering of the measurements from the at least one sensor or non-linear mapping of the measurements from the at least one sensor; and statistical process control charts applied to the multi-channel filtered measurements or applied to the non-linear mapped measurements.
DRUG DELIVERY SYSTEM WITH A DELAY MECHANISM
A medicament delivery system, including a medicament container and a delay mechanism that is activated prior to completion of medicament delivery from the medicament container. The delay mechanism automatically activates a subsystem or initiates an operation subsequent to completion of medicament delivery.
Selectively Controlling Fluid Flow Through a Fluid Pathway
Systems and methods for controlling fluid delivery via a manually administrable medication container to a patient through a fluid delivery pathway are provided. The systems and methods described herein incorporate rules-based clinical decision support logic to drive a flow control valve within a flow pathway based on a determination of whether or not an IV fluid connected to an input port on the pathway is appropriate for patient administration by considering such factors as patient-specific clinical circumstances, current medical orders, and accepted delivery protocols. Related apparatus, systems, methods and articles are also described.
