VOLUME MONITORING SYSTEMS
An apparatus has a syringe housing. A plunger has a shaft, wherein the plunger is slidably received within the syringe housing between a first and second position. A Hall sensor is disposed within the shaft and a magnet is fixed proximate the syringe housing.
INTRAVENOUS FLUID CONTAINER VOLUME MONITORING SYSTEM
A system, method and device for determining a volume of a fluid in a medication container is disclosed. An infusion of a medication is initiated from a medication container. The medication container includes one or more radio frequency identification (RFID) tags affixed along a side of the container. A radio frequency (RF) signal is directed from a reader device toward the RFID tags disposed on the medication container. A signal strength of one or more returned respective RF signals from the one or more RFID tags is detected, the returned RF signals including one or more identifiers for identifying the one or more RFID tags. A threshold signal level for determining a level of fluid within the medication container is determined, and a volume of the fluid is then determined by determining which of the returned respective RF signals has a signal strength satisfying the threshold signal level.
Infusion Pump Assembly
A fluid connector assembly is disclosed. The fluid connector assembly includes a body portion, a plug portion located on the body portion, the plug portion comprising a fluid path, a tubing, a first end of the tubing fluidly connected to the plug fluid path, a catch feature located on a first end of the body portion and configured to interact with a reservoir, and a latching feature located on a second end of the body portion, the latching feature configured to interact and lock onto the reservoir.
Infusion Pump Apparatus, Method and System
An infusion pump system is disclosed. The infusion pump system includes an infusion pump and a controller device in wireless communication with the infusion pump, wherein the controller including instructions for controlling the infusion pump, wherein the instructions may be synchronized with a secure web portal.
DRUG SOLUTION DELIVERY APPARATUS
This drug solution delivery apparatus includes a pump main body, a cartridge main body having a plunger operation unit, and a controller for controlling a drive unit. The plunger operation unit has a slide nut and a rib for restricting movement of the slide nut. The drug solution delivery apparatus further includes an attachment detection sensor for detecting contact of the slide nut with the rib. The controller causes the drive unit to drive in reverse, and determines whether the cartridge main body is new or previously used on the basis of a detection signal of the attachment detection sensor.
REAL TIME DRIP CHAMBER MONITOR
Drip chamber detection assemblies for intravenous sets used with an infusion pump are provided. A drip chamber detection assembly includes a sensor coupled to a drip chamber. The sensor is positioned to generate signals related to the fluid level within the drip chamber. The signal data is transmitted to an infusion pump or a controller. A fluid level status or condition is determined and used for closed loop control of the infusion system, which generates an alarm and/or stops the infusion pump based on abnormal conditions. Methods of operating drip chamber detection assemblies are also provided.
IMPLANTABLE MEDICAL DEVICE WITH DRUG RESERVOIR VOLUME MEASUREMENT SYSTEM
An implantable medical device (IMD) including a housing defining a propellant chamber, a drug reservoir located within the propellant chamber of the housing configured to receive a therapeutic fluid, a propellant gas within the propellant chamber; and a volume measurement system that includes a temperature sensor configured to measure a temperature of the propellant gas within in the propellant chamber and a pressure sensor configured to measure a pressure of the propellant gas within the propellant chamber. The volume measurement system is configured to measure the pressure and the temperature of the propellant gas to provide current volume information of the therapeutic fluid in the drug reservoir.
AMBULATORY MEDICAMENT PUMP WITH INTEGRATED MEDICAMENT ORDERING INTERFACE
Ambulatory medical devices that provide therapy to a subject, such as blood glucose control, are disclosed. Disclosed systems and devices can implement one or more features that improve the user experience, such as maintain delivery of therapy to a subject after determining that a possible occlusion exists in a medicament delivery system. The system can receive an indication of an amount of initial medicament in possession of the subject and determine a rate of consumption of medicament. The system can determine the amount of total remaining medicament and determine that the amount of the total remaining medicament is below a threshold amount. Based on this, the system may generate a user alert that indicates that additional supply of medicament may be necessary.
Monitoring upstream flow characteristics for a pump
A system for monitoring upstream flow characteristics for a pump is provided. The system may receive one or more outputs from a fluid level sensor coupled with a pump. The system may detect based on at least the one or more outputs, an abnormal upstream flow condition in the pump, such as a full upstream occlusion in the tube, a partial upstream occlusion in the tube, an empty reservoir, and/or a backflow of the fluid into the drip chamber. The system may adjust, based on the detection of an abnormal upstream flow condition in the pump, operation of the pump.
MEDIUM INJECTION DIVERSION AND MEASUREMENT
A system for measurement automation of a fluid injected into a patient includes a reservoir, a fluid injection apparatus, and a measurement automation apparatus. The fluid injection apparatus includes a delivery conduit, an injector for injecting the fluid into the patient, a diverter assembly disposed between the delivery conduit and the injector, and a connector between the diverter assembly and delivery conduit. The diverter assembly is configured to divert at least a portion of the fluid away from an injection fluid path between the injector and the delivery conduit to the reservoir. The measurement automation apparatus includes an injector sensor module, a reservoir sensor module, a processer configured to receive the data from the sensor modules, and a display.
