Disclosed is a biaxially stretched polyester film containing an antimony compound as a catalyst component, and a magnesium compound and a phosphorus compound as additives, in which an amount of metal antimony included in residues on a membrane filter having an average pore diameter of 0.1 m, after a solution in which 1 g of the biaxially stretched polyester is dissolved in 5 ml of hexafluoroisopropanol is filtered by the filter, is 10 to 100 mg per 1 kg of the biaxially stretched polyester.
Coated film
According to the present invention, there is provide a coated film that is excellent in surface hardness and abrasion resistance and has good adhesion between a polyester film and a hard coat layer. The present invention relates to a coated film comprising a polyester film and a coating layer formed on at least one surface of the polyester film, the coating layer being prepared from a coating solution comprising a (meth)acrylate compound, a reactive silica comprising a (meth)acryloyl group, and an isocyanate-based compound.
Digitally printed heat transfer label and method of making a decorated article
A heat transfer label assembly comprises a carrier, a release layer overlying a first side of the carrier, and a primer overlying the release layer such that the release layer is disposed between the carrier and the primer. The primer may comprise at least one polyacrylic acid polymer.
Functionalized polyester polymers and film articles

Anti-scalping pharmaceutical packaging film
A film for packaging a product that has a pharmaceutical active agent includes a product-contacting sealing layer. The product contacting layer includes at least 90 wt. % of an ethylene norbornene copolymer having a glass transition temperature in a range from 50? C. to 110? C. The pharmaceutical active agent comprises a Hansen Solubility Parameter for the product-contacting sealing layer of 0.5 or greater.
Anti-powdering and anti-static polymer film for digital printing
A coated polymer film, such as a coated polyester film, is disclosed. In one embodiment, the coated film may be used as a substrate for digital printing. In one embodiment, the coating contains an anionic anti-static agent comprising a sulphonated copolyester resin. In an alternative embodiment, the coating contains an anti-static agent comprising an organometallic, such as an organo zirconate, in combination with metal oxide particles. The metal oxide particles may comprise nanoparticles. In one embodiment, the coating can further contain a print enhancing agent and an adhesion promoter.
Shrink films and related combinations and methods
The present subject matter provides a shrink film free of silicon-containing material, fluorine-containing material, and solvent-formed seams. The shrink film utilizes a water soluble layer covering an adhesive layer. The water soluble layer is in dry form and non-tacky, allowing processing of the shrink film subsequent to adhesive application to the shrink film. When the water soluble layer is dissolved, the adhesive layer is exposed and is capable of forming a permanent bond. The adhesive can be used to form a seam in the film and/or can be used to form a bond between the film and a substrate. The water soluble layer facilitates removal of an optional release liner from the adhesive. A substrate with the shrink film attached thereto and a related method of attaching a heat shrinkable film to a substrate are also disclosed.
BISPHENOL A AND AROMATIC GLYCIDYL ETHER-FREE COATINGS
Disclosed are Bisphenol A (BPA), Bisphenol F, Bisphenol A diglycidyl ether (BADGE), and Bisphenol F diglycidyl ether (BFDGE)-free coating compositions for metal substrates including an under-coat composition containing a polyester (co)polymer, and an under-coat cross-linker; and an over-coat composition containing a poly(vinyl chloride) (co)polymer dispersed in a substantially nonaqueous carrier liquid, an over-coat cross-linker, and a functional (meth)acrylic (co)polymer. Also provided is a method of coating a metal substrate using the BPA, BPF, BADGE and BFDGE-free coating system to produce a hardened protective coating useful in fabricating metal storage containers. The coated substrate is particularly useful in fabricating multi-part foodstuffs storage containers with easy-open end closures.

Adhesive compositions, facestocks and/or packaging labels containing same, where such compositions, facestocks and/or labels designed to facilitate the recyclability of a plastic article formed from any suitable polymer or mixture of polymers (e.g., a polyethylene terephthalate (PET), recycled polyethylene terephthalate (rPET), high density polyethylene (HDPE), polyvinyl chloride (PVC), low density polyethylene (LDPE), polypropylene (PP), polystyrene (PS), polyesters, recycled polyesters, polylacticacid (PLA), biopolymers, cellulose or other types of polymers or plastics) are described. Methods for removing an adhesive composition, facestock and/or packaging label containing same, from a plastic article that is to be recycled and/or subjected to multi-generational recycling are also provided.
