SAG RESISTANT, FORMALDEHYDE-FREE COATED FIBROUS SUBSTRATE
The present invention relates to an improved formaldehyde-free coated fibrous substrate. The coating includes a crosslinked binder system which forms three dimensional networks when heat cured. After the coating is applied to the back of fibrous substrate and cured, the coating is capable of hygroscopic expansion which imparts excellent anti-sag properties. The coating is compatible with other coating systems with neutral or mild alkaline pH. The improvement being the binding system is neutralized with a volatile base so that it evaporates quickly so as not to hinder the cross-linking reaction.
Multilayer film for encapsulating oxygen and/or moisture sensitive electronic devices
The present invention refers to a multilayer barrier film capable of encapsulating a moisture and/or oxygen sensitive electronic or optoelectronic device, the barrier film comprises at least one nanostructured layer comprising reactive nanoparticles capable of interacting with moisture and/or oxygen, the reactive nanoparticles being distributed within a polymeric binder, and at least one ultraviolet light neutralizing layer comprising a material capable of absorbing ultraviolet light, thereby limiting the transmission of ultraviolet light through the barrier film.
ACOUSTICAL VINYL FLOORING WITH SIDE COUPLING ELEMENTS
An acoustical vinyl tile having an integral acoustical layer is disclosed. The vinyl tile includes a vinyl portion, an acoustical portion, and an adhesive layer for fixing the vinyl portion to the acoustical portion. The acoustical portion comprises a crumb rubber component and a polyurethane foam component. The acoustical portion can include 10-40% crumb rubber and 60-90% polyurethane foam. The vinyl tile may also include a coupling feature for coupling to an adjacent vinyl tile. The coupling feature may be in the form of interconnecting tongue and groove elements formed along opposite sides of the vinyl tile so that adjacent vinyl tiles can be coupled together. The tongue and groove elements may incorporate integrated mechanical coupling elements such as, for example, interlocking tabs and spaces. In use, the tongue and groove elements may be arranged and configured to be snap-fitted together.
ANTIFOG POLYESTER LIDDING FILM FOR CPET TRAYS
The present disclosure is directed to peelable, heat-sealable lidding films for containers of diverse polymer compositions storing various products such as foodstuffs and pharmaceuticals. The lidding films disclosed herein can be heat-sealed to crystalline polyester trays (CPET), easily peeled, and contain improved antifogging performance by incorporating a non-migratory antifogging additive into the heat sealable layer of the film without deteriorating seal strengths.
Transparent substrate for optical elements, polarizer plate for liquid crystal display device using said substrate, and organic electroluminescence element
A transparent substrate for optical elements which is capable of suppressing cracking is provided, and a transparent substrate for optical elements which is capable of extending the life of optical elements such as organic EL elements used in organic EL illumination devices or polarizer plates used in liquid crystal display devices is provided. This transparent substrate for optical elements is characterized by having an inorganic layer and a hydrophilic layer laminated sequentially on a transparent resin film. For this reason, this transparent substrate for optical elements can have excellent gas barrier properties, inhibits degeneration of optical elements due to water vapor, suppresses cracking, is transparent and flexible, is easy to handle, can be efficiently and economically manufactured, and has excellent design properties.
Alkyl aromatic hydroalkylation for the production of plasticizers
Provided are compounds of the following: ##STR00001##
wherein R.sub.1 is a saturated or unsaturated cyclic hydrocarbon optionally substituted with an alkyl and/or an OXO-ester, and R.sub.2 is a C.sub.4 to C.sub.14 hydrocarbyl, preferably the residue of a C.sub.4 to C.sub.14 OXO-alcohol. Also provided are processes for making the compounds and plasticized polymer compositions containing said compounds.
ELECTRICALLY ISOLATING POLYMER COMPOSITION
An electrode coating composition that includes at least one crosslinkable monomer; at least one hydrophobic monomer; and at least one dielectric constant enhancing agent selected from dielectric enhancing monomers, ferroelectric particulates, and electroactive polymers. Coatings including the polymer of compositions, and articles including electrically isolating layers are also disclosed.
Pressure-sensitive adhesive composition
A pressure-sensitive adhesive composition, a protective film, an optical element and a display device are provided. The pressure-sensitive adhesive composition has excellent storage stability, exhibits proper low-speed and high-speed peel strengths after formation of a cross-linked structure, and also has an excellent balance between the low-speed and high-speed peel strengths. Therefore, when the pressure-sensitive adhesive composition is applied to a protective film, the pressure-sensitive adhesive composition can have an excellent protective effect, and can also be advantageous to perform a high-speed process since the pressure-sensitive adhesive composition is easily peeled during a high-speed peeling process. In the high-speed peeling process, the pressure-sensitive adhesive composition can exhibit excellent antistatic characteristics.
One-component laminating adhesive having silane cross-linking
The invention relates to a crosslinkable one-component laminating adhesive containing 25 to 80 wt. % of polyester prepolymers, polyether prepolymers and/or polyurethane prepolymers, which have at least two cross-linkable alkoxysilane groups and have a molecular weight of 2000 to 30,000 g/mol, 75 to 19 wt. % of organic solvent having a boiling point up to 130 C., 1 to 20 wt. % of polymers which contain anhydride groups, and 0 to 15 wt. % of additives, wherein the viscosity of the adhesive is between 50 and 20,000 mPas (according to DIN ISO 2555), measured at 15 to 45 C.
