APPARATUS FOR FORMING A MULTILAYERED SHAPED FILM PRODUCT
Apparatus includes a mask having an aperture corresponding to the desired shaped film product, a mask support arranged and configured to support the mask, and a system for delivering a plurality of film-forming compositions to the mask aperture. The system includes a plurality of film-forming composition reservoirs in fluid communication with at least one pump to deliver the film-forming compositions to the mask aperture; a pump controller to control the flow of the film-forming compositions, and a multistream nozzle arranged and configured to receive the film-forming compositions and to deliver them to the mask aperture.
POLYMER COATINGS
The present disclosure relates to polymer coatings covalently attached to the surface of a substrate and the preparation of the polymer coatings, such as poly(N-(5-azidoacetamidylpentyl)acrylamide-co-acrylamide) (PAZAM), in the formation and manipulation of substrates, such as molecular arrays and flow cells. The present disclosure also relates to methods of preparing a substrate surface by using beads coated with a covalently attached polymer, such as PAZAM, and the method of determining a nucleotide sequence of a polynucleotide attached to a substrate surface described herein.
OPTICAL BODIES INCLUDING ROUGH STRIPPABLE BOUNDARY LAYERS
Optical bodies are disclosed that include a first optical film, a second optical film and at least one rough strippable boundary layer disposed between the first and second optical films. Also disclosed are optical bodies including a strippable boundary layer disposed between the first and second optical films and including a first polymer and a second polymer that is substantially immiscible in the first polymer. The present disclosure also provides methods of processing optical bodies that include stretching the optical bodies.
ONE PART, FAST-SETTING, AQUEOUS ADHESIVE EMULSIONS
The present disclosure relates to acrylic adhesive emulsions comprising a core-shell polymeric component comprising an inner core and an outer shell containing at least one pendent functional group; a polyfunctional component capable of reacting with at least one of the pendent functional groups on the outer shell; wherein the inner core is free of functional groups reactive with the pendent functional groups on the outer shell; and wherein the pH of the emulsion is 6.5 or less; and wherein the emulsion is a fast-setting, one part, aqueous, adhesive. Bonded articles made therefrom, and methods of bonding articles using these emulsions are also disclosed.
CARPET WASTE COMPOSITE
A composite material is produced from carpet waste and a binding agent, in intimate association, and may also include wood fiber or chips and/or other additives. A method of manufacturing a composite material includes shredding carpet waste, coating the carpet waste with a binding agent, and subjecting the shredded, coated carpet waste to elevated heat and pressure. As an additional step, the composite material may be actively cooled to prevent deformation of the material.
Electrochromic gel, method for producing the gel, method for controlling electronic printing and erasing on electrochromic gel, and stretchable display
The problem to be solved by the present invention is to provide an electrochromic gel which is excellent in flexibility and which is stretchable, a method for producing the gel, a method for controlling electronic printing and erasing, and a stretchable display. The problem is solved by using an electrochromic gel obtained by laminating an electrolyte-containing gel layer consisting only of an electrolyte-containing gel and an organic-metallic hybrid polymer-containing layer obtained by containing an organic-metallic hybrid polymer in the electrolyte-containing gel.
