IV set system with bypass manifold
An intravenous (IV) set system comprising a primary IV set defining a primary flow line of the IV set system. The primary flow line can include multiple access points along its length and feeds to a merging fluid pathway proximate to the distal terminus of the primary IV set. At least one secondary IV set with corresponding flow lines can be separably joined to the primary IV set to cause the secondary flow lines to be in fluid communication with the primary flow line. At least one of the IV sets can have a unique set of uniform marking indicia to facilitate rapid identification of the IV sets from other IV sets within the IV set system. Such marked and identified primary and/or secondary IV sets can be allocated to specific medical functions and/or can be for use by specific medical personnel to thereby minimize risk of error in administration of an IV to a patient. The IV set system can further comprise a merging fluid pathway about a primary IV set.
SYSTEM, METHOD, AND APPARATUS FOR MONITORING, REGULATING, OR CONTROLLING FLUID FLOW
An apparatus, system and method for regulating fluid flow are disclosed. The apparatus includes a flow rate sensor and a valve. The flow rate sensor uses images to estimate flow through a drip chamber and then controls the valve based on the estimated flow rate. The valve comprises a rigid housing disposed around the tube in which fluid flow is being controlled. Increasing the pressure in the housing controls the size of the lumen within the tube by deforming the tube, therefore controlling flow through the tube.
Ambulatory infusion pumps and assemblies for use with same
Ambulatory infusion pumps, medicament reservoirs, and medicament sealing assemblies, including a variety of trocar seal assemblies and fill plug seal assemblies, plus related components, as well as component combinations and related methods.
APPARATUS AND SYSTEM FOR FLUID DELIVERY
An apparatus for delivering fluid from a fluid container comprises a housing to which a fluid container is attachable, a slider movably disposed in the housing and a resilient having a first end connected to the housing and a second end connected to the slider. Upon receiving an external force, the slider moves relative to the housing from a first position toward a second position to deform the resilient member from an original state to a deformed state, and upon release of the external force, the resilient member is allowed to resume to the original state to move the slider toward the first position to urge the slider against the fluid container to deliver fluid from the fluid container under a constant fluid flow rate.
AN ASSEMBLY AND A SYSTEM SUITABLE FOR DISPENSING A LIQUID FROM A COMPRESSIBLE BAG
An assembly and a system suitable for dispensing liquid from a compressible bag, such as for IV treatment of a patient. The assembly includes an apparatus and a flexible mat. The apparatus includes a housing with a dispensing end and an opposite rear end, a floor comprising a flat floor surface, a pair of parallel guiding tracks and a roller arrangement including a roller body. The roller arrangement has a first roller arrangement end and a second roller arrangement end respectively engaged with the respective guiding tracks. The mat has a first mat end, which is mounted to or adapted to be mounted to the roller body and the mat is located at least partly on the flat floor between the guiding tracks.
RETRIEVABLE ACCESS VALVE
Medical devices and methods for making and using medical devices are disclosed. An example medical device may include an access valve that may be retrieved after implantation. The access valve may include a frame having a lumen, a self-expandable member extending through the lumen, and an elastic membrane extending through the lumen and a second end of the frame to releasably seal the lumen. The access valve may releasably attach to a wall of a patient and releasably seal an opening through the wall. The access valve may be attached to the wall by placing the frame adjacent the wall, extending the self-expandable member through the opening in the wall, and expanding the self-expandable member such that the self-expandable member applies a first force against the wall and a second force opposite the first force against the frame to sandwich the wall between the self-expandable member and the frame.
FLUID SWITCHING VALVE, FLUID DELIVERY CARTRIDGE, AND FLUID DELIVERY DRIVING UNIT
A fluid switching valve including a first elastic tube that delivers a first fluid; a second elastic tube that delivers a second fluid; a third elastic tube having one end connected to the first and second elastic tubes; and a switching member that, by displacing a protruding portion, switches between a first state in which the first elastic tube is constricted and the second fluid is delivered to the third elastic tube, a second state in which the second elastic tube is constricted and the first fluid is delivered to the third elastic tube, a third state in which the first and second elastic tubes are both constricted and introduction of fluid to the third elastic tube is cut off, and a fourth state in which neither the first nor second elastic tube is constricted and both the first and second fluids are delivered to the third elastic tube.
MULTIPLE FLUID DELIVERY SYSTEM WITH MULTI-USE DISPOSABLE SET AND FEATURES THEREOF
A multi-fluid injector system having a powered injector having a housing enclosing at least one reciprocally operable piston is described. The injector system includes a multi-use disposable set (MUDS) connectable to the powered fluid injector. The MUDS has at least one syringe having a proximal end and a distal end and a plunger reciprocally movable by the at least one piston element within a syringe interior between the proximal end and the distal end; a manifold in fluid communication with the distal end of the at least one syringe; at least one valve in fluid communication with the syringe interior, the at least one valve operable between a filling position for filling the syringe interior with fluid and a delivery position for delivering the fluid from the syringe interior; and at least one connection port in fluid communication with the manifold and the syringe interior when the at least one valve is in the delivery position. The injector system further includes a coupling mechanism for operating the at least one valve between the filling position and the delivery position. Various features of the MUDS assembly and methods of interaction between the injector system and the MUDS assembly are also described.
CATHETER VALVES
The invention is directed to methods and devices to facilitate positioning of a catheter into a vessel and selectively controlling flow of fluids through the catheter until desired using one or more valves.
MEDICATION MECHANISM
The present invention relates to a dosing mechanism including: a body (2); and a disposable portion (3) that is removably attached to the body (2), in which the disposable portion (3) includes: a pump that sucks a medicine from a medicine vessel and discharges the medicine to a patient; a suction-side tube (33) that extends from the pump toward the medicine vessel; a discharge-side tube (34) that extends from the pump toward the patient; and a connector (331, 341) that is located at a front end of at least one of the suction-side tube (33) and the discharge-side tube (34), and the body (2) includes a sensor (24) in a position corresponding to the suction-side tube (33) or the discharge-side tube (34) attached to the body (2).
