Palm activated drug delivery device
Disclosed is a device for the parenteral delivery of a medication, such as a drug. The device includes upper and lower housings in which the upper housing is configured to move relative to the lower housing as a result of application of an external force to permit the user of the device to control the rate at which the drug is administered.
DRIVE MODULES FOR INJECTORS, AND SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR USING SUCH DRIVE MODULES
An injection device for delivering an agent into a patient’s body including a drive module and an injector module. The drive module includes a canister and puncture mechanism in a first chamber, a plunger in a second chamber communicating with the first chamber, and an actuator that moves the puncture mechanism to cause a puncture pin thereon to penetrate a septum of the canister and cause the gas within the canister to flow through the first chamber into the second chamber. The plunger includes a proximal end including a piston and a distal end and is configured such that gas entering the second chamber causes the plunger to move from an initial position to an extended position for delivering one or more agents from the injector module, the piston including one or more passages that allow gas from the canister to pass through the piston into the second chamber around the plunger.
Injector device
An injector device includes a housing for receiving a medicament cartridge; a needle unit comprising a needle; and a first sleeve slideable along a longitudinal axis of the housing from a first position, in which the first sleeve conceals the needle, to a second position, in which the needle is exposed from an end of the first sleeve, the first sleeve configured to engage the needle unit so that, during use, movement of the first sleeve from the first position to the second position moves the needle unit from a primary position to a secondary position, in which secondary position the needle unit locates over an end of a medicament cartridge, wherein the device further comprises a second sleeve arranged to move telescopically with respect to the first sleeve, the first sleeve extending from the second sleeve when the first sleeve is in the first position.
Automatic injection device
An automatic injection device including a housing element, at least one resilient element arranged to be located within the housing element, a syringe including at least one syringe piston, a needle guard adapted for selectable positioning with respect to the housing element and a selectable driving element adapted, when actuated, to be driven by the at least one resilient element for initially displacing the syringe relative to the housing element from a non-penetration position to a penetration position and thereafter displacing the at least one syringe piston in the syringe to effect drug delivery and displacing the needle guard into a needle guarding position.
CASSETTE, MEDICINE INJECTION DEVICE, AND MEDICINE INJECTION SYSTEM
A cassette including: a cartridge holder including a first end, a second end having a holder opening, and a holder columnar space located between the first end and the second end and capable of accommodating a drug cartridge, drug cartridge including: a cylinder including a first end at which an injection needle is insertable/extractable, a second end at which a cylinder opening is located, and a cylinder columnar space located between the first end and the second end; a drug placed in the cylinder columnar space; and a gasket being placed in the cylinder columnar space; a cassette cap capable of opening and closing the holder opening, the cassette cap including a first end having a cap opening that is opposed to the holder opening, a second end having a piston insertion opening, and a cap columnar space located between the first end and the second end.
AUTO-INJECTOR AND RELATED METHODS OF USE
An injection device includes a carrier, a needle, a driver coupled to the needle, the driver being slidable relative to the carrier between a retracted configuration and a deployed configuration, a shuttle configured to move the driver between the retracted configuration and the deployed configuration, and a stop configured to move from a first configuration to a second configuration, wherein the stop is configured to maintain the driver in the deployed configuration, and movement of the stop from the first configuration to the second configuration allows the shuttle to move the driver from the deployed configuration to the retracted configuration.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR GENERATING IMMUNE RESPONSES IN SUBJECTS USING MICROCHANNEL DELIVERY DEVICES
The present invention provides a method for generating an immune response in a subject, comprising administering to the subject's skin an immunizing composition from a SARS-CoV-2 pathogen, wherein the composition is administered with a microneedle delivery device.
Drive unit for a medicament delivery device
A drive unit for a medicament delivery device is presented having an elongated plunger rod extending in a longitudinal direction, a drive force element capable of applying a drive force on the elongated plunger rod, and an actuator operably connected to the elongated plunger rod for releasably holding the elongated plunger rod in an energized state when the drive force element is exerting a drive force on the elongated plunger rod. An activator is operably connected to the actuator for releasably holding the actuator in a holding position where the actuator is designed to be movable from the holding position in a direction generally transversal to the longitudinal direction upon a displacement of the activator for releasing the plunger rod.
AUTO-INJECTOR AND RELATED METHODS OF USE
An injection device may include a housing, a container disposed within the housing, the container enclosing a fluid and having a first end and a second end, a conduit movable relative to the container, wherein the conduit is not in fluid communication with the fluid enclosed by the container while in a first position, and is in fluid communication with the fluid enclosed by the container and configured to deliver the fluid from the container to a patient while in a second position, and a lock that is removable from the housing, the lock having a first portion and a second portion.
Medicament Delivery Device Comprising a Locking Mechanism Having a Lever
Medicament delivery device comprising a movable guard (10) being movable between a proximal and a distal position and a locking mechanism (15) having a level (16), the lever (16) restricting movement of an actuation locking member (24) until the movable guard is positioned in a distal position and the lever (16) restricting movement of the guard (10) in a proximal position after actuation of the device.
