Assembly for a Drug Delivery Device and Drug Delivery Device
An assembly for a drug delivery device comprises a housing, a dose member which is displaceable in a proximal direction with respect to the housing for setting of a dose of a drug, a clutch member which is displaced in the proximal direction with respect to the housing when setting the dose, and a stop member configured to define a clutch stop position. The clutch member and the dose member are configured to mechanically cooperate with one another when the clutch member is in the clutch stop position, thereby preventing further displacement of the dose member in the proximal direction with respect to the housing during setting of the dose.
Syringe carrier
Described is a syringe carrier comprising a body adapted to receive a barrel of a syringe. The body includes two sections having distal ends with shoulder sections. The shoulder sections are adapted to engage a circumferential gap between the barrel of the syringe and a needle shield covering a needle of the syringe.
CARPOULE HOLDER FOR RECEIVING A CARPOULE AND FASTENING TO A DRIVE MECHANISM AND/OR METERING MECHANISM AND/OR HOUSING OF AN INJECTION DEVICE
The invention relates to a carpoule holder (8) for receiving a carpoule (10) and for fastening to a drive mechanism and/or to a dosing mechanism and/or to a housing (6) of an injection device, with a holding element (9, 9′, 9″) for fastening the carpoule (10) to or in the carpoule holder (8), wherein the holding element (9, 9′, 9″) is designed in such a way that it can be connected to the carpoule holder (8) and can be received completely by the carpoule holder (8).
Medical injector with coupled body portions
A medical injector is provided herein which includes first and second body portions each having a longitudinal axis and configured to couple at a coupling. The medical injector also includes an axially-displaceable plunger; biasing element for advancing the plunger a predetermined distance; and, a releasable retainer for releasably retaining the plunger in a first state against the force of the biasing element. In an initial state, the axes of the first and second body portions are not aligned and the plunger is in the first state. In a coupled state, the axes of the first and second body portions are axially aligned, and the releasable retainer releases the plunger, thereby allowing the biasing element to advance the plunger the predetermined distance. Advantageously, the subject invention provides a medical injector having an automated plunger drive which is triggered upon assembly of the pen injector, thereby minimizing premature or failed activations.
Coded cartridge holder and fastener enabled by cartridge size
A coded cartridge holder for use with a drug delivery device is provided. The cartridge holder includes a fastener that becomes operative based in part on a length of a cartridge or a diameter of the cartridge. In one embodiment, the cartridge holder is coupled to the drug delivery device. The cartridge holder comprises a first blocking feature. The drug delivery device includes a cartridge detector comprising a second blocking feature. This feature may be a pin, for engagement with the first blocking feature of the cartridge holder when the cartridge acts on the cartridge detector. The cartridge holder may further include a fastening mechanism configured to fasten the cartridge holder to the drug delivery device only when the second blocking feature engages the first blocking feature.
Spring-loaded injection device with an injection button
The present invention relates to a spring-loaded medical injection device for automatically ejecting set doses of a drug having an injection button (10). The injection device comprises a housing having a dose setting member (20) for straining an injection spring when setting the size of the dose to be injected and a release element (30) for releasing the strained injection spring to eject the set dose. The injection button (10) is movable in a distal direction against the bias of a return spring (1) and movable in a proximal direction by the force of the return spring (1). Further, the injection button (10) moves with it the release element from a first position to a second position. The release element (30) is further coupled to the injection button (10) by a plurality of fingers (31, 15) which disengages the injection button (10) from the release element (30) in the first position and engages the injection button (10) with the release element (30) in the second position, such that the injection button (10) can move a distance axially independently of the release element (30) in the first position and the injection button (10) and the release element (30) move axially together in the second position.
MULTIPLE USE DISPOSABLE INJECTION PEN
A medication injection pen, including a housing, a dose set knob (DSK) comprising an internal key, and a dose stop member engaging the dose set knob. Rotation of the dose set knob to set a medication dose causes rotation of the dose stop member with respect to the dose set knob, and when the dose set knob is rotated to a last dose setting position, the dose stop member rotationally abuts the internal key thereby preventing further rotational movement of the dose set knob in a dose setting direction.
Cartridge holder assembly for drug delivery device
A cartridge holder assembly is provided, comprising an enclosed cartridge, a distal portion and a proximal portion. The enclosed cartridge defines a longitudinal axis and comprises a generally cylindrical main portion, a distal outlet portion having a neck portion with a circumferential shoulder portion, and a proximal portion having an opening surrounded by a circumferential rim. The distal portion comprises a distal support structure engaging the cartridge neck portion and being adapted to support the cartridge against movement in the distal direction, and the proximal portion comprises a proximal support structure engaging the cartridge circumferential rim and being adapted to support the cartridge against movement in the proximal direction. The proximal support structure is essentially non-deformed, and the distal support structure engaging the cartridge neck portion is plastically deformed.
MEDICAMENT DELIVERY DEVICE
A dose setting mechanism for a medicament delivery device is presented having a locking assembly that reliably and consistently unlocks a dose injection button and concurrently a lead screw when the dose setting mechanism is transitioned from a non-activated state to an activated state. This locking assembly uses a rotating plate having a locking protrusion that engages a radial projecting tab on a rotationally fixed plunger rod nut. An alignment member is also presented that prevents rotational drift of a dosing member.
Torsion spring injection device having an end-of-dose mechanism
The present invention relates to a torsion spring based automatic injection device for apportioning set doses of a liquid drug and which injection device is provided with an End-of-Dose feedback mechanism providing a user with an audible signal once the set dose has been injected. During injection, the scale drum rotates back to its “zero” position under influence of the torsion spring. This rotation is halted shortly before reaching the “zero” position by stopping means. The scale drum is thereafter only allowed to continue rotation and thus reach the “zero” position once the torque applied to the scale drum by the torsion spring surpasses a threshold value.
