SINGLE SLIDER DOUBLE BARREL SYRINGE AND METHOD TO USE SAME FOR MEDICAL DIAGNOSTICS, THERAPEUTIC USE, AND PLACEMENT CONFIRMATION AND JOINT SPACE INJECTION
A syringe is provided having a hub with an orifice, first and second barrels having interior surfaces to form respective lumens, a slider, and an optional test indicator. The first and second barrels slideably receive respective first and second plungers for movement therein. The slider is operable to provide a fluidly communicative path between the orifice of the hub and the first and second barrel lumens. The optional test indicator is responsive to at least one characteristic of bodily fluid, the test indicator positioned to be exposed to any bodily fluid drawn into the first barrel lumen and visible from an exterior of the first barrel.
Assembly for a drug delivery device and drug delivery device
An assembly for a drug delivery device is provided comprising a housing, a cartridge holder releasably connectable to the housing, a resilient member, and an interaction member which is configured to mechanically cooperate with the resilient member and with the cartridge holder. The resilient member is configured to rotationally bias the interaction member. The assembly has a locked state where the cartridge holder is connected to the housing, the cartridge holder being obstructed from movement with respect to the housing, and an unlocked state where the connection between the cartridge holder and the housing is released, the cartridge holder being freely moveable with respect to the housing.
Drive assembly for a medication delivery device and medication delivery device comprising a drive assembly
A drive assembly for a medication delivery device is provided, comprising a piston rod which is movable from a start position to an end position for medication delivery and resettable from the end position to the start position. The drive assembly further comprises an impeding element for impeding a movement of the piston rod from the end position to the start position during a reset of the piston rod, wherein the impeding element comprises at least one resilient element. Furthermore, a medication delivery device comprising the drive assembly is disclosed.
Light for oral anesthesia injection syringe
A light for use with an oral anesthesia syringe that is received into a passageway of a barrel of the light. When the syringe is received into a first opening in a proximal end of the barrel's passageway, the needle of the syringe extends through a second opening at the proximal end of the barrel. At least one lamp and preferably a plurality of lamps at the distal end of the barrel illuminate the needle and the interior of a patient's mouth. A battery is included in the light for powering the lamps. The insertion of the syringe into the barrel may a pair of contacts to cause the battery to power the lamps, or the battery may be removed to remove power from the lamps. A disposable integrated syringe and light combination is also described.
Medicament delivery device
A dose setting mechanism for a medicament delivery device is presented having a locking feature that reliably and consistently unlocks a dose injection button and concurrently a lead screw when the dose setting mechanism is transitioned from a non-activated state to an activated state. This locking feature uses dose member assembly having a rotational biasing element combined with concentric inner and outer sleeves interfacing with a locking member.
Housing and Drug Delivery Device Herewith
The present disclosure is generally directed to a drug delivery device for selecting and dispensing a number of user variable doses of a medicament and to a housing for such a device. The housing comprises an outer housing with a distal end and a cartridge holder with a proximal end, which, when the cartridge holder is attached to the outer housing, is inserted into the distal end of the outer housing. The outer housing is provided with a first fixture for axially constraining a further component part to the outer housing. When the cartridge holder is attached to the outer housing, the proximal end of the cartridge holder axially extends to the first fixture.
Method for Assembling a Drive Spring and Drug Delivery Device with a Spring
A method for assembling a drive spring, especially into a drug delivery device includes rotating a component part to which the drive spring is attached in a first direction, followed by a rotation of the component part in the opposite direction and followed by attachment of a rotational stop. Further, the disclosure includes a drug delivery device for selecting and dispensing a number of user variable doses of a medicament, which device comprises a pre-charged drive spring.
MEDICAMENT DELIVERY DEVICE
A dose setting mechanism for a medicament delivery device is presented having a locking assembly that reliably and consistently unlocks a dose injection button and concurrently a lead screw when the dose setting mechanism is transitioned from a non-activated state to an activated state. This locking assembly uses a rotating plate having a locking protrusion that engages a radial projecting tab on a rotationally fixed plunger rod nut. An alignment member is also presented that prevents rotational drift of a dosing member.
Device and system for drug information detection
An injected dose detection device which includes a housing having a joint surface surrounding an injection device and a through hole formed on the joint surface configured to communicate with an internal part of the housing, a vibration sensor disposed in the internal part of the housing configured to detect at least one vibration signal based on a minimum vibration threshold, a vibration transmitting element positioned directly between the vibration sensor and the injection device and configured to transmit the at least one vibration signal and a processing unit configured to process the at least one vibration signal for generating injected dose information corresponding to the injected dose.
Ampule Autoinjector Systems And Methods
An autoinjector is described that includes an outer body, a first trigger, an output needle, and a first compartment. The first compartment is positioned within the outer body and includes (i) a main body, (ii) a first biasing member coupled to the first trigger, and (iii) a protrusion positioned at a distal end of the main body. The autoinjector further includes a second compartment positioned in the outer body and in fluid communication with the first compartment and the output needle. The autoinjector also includes a second biasing member coupled to a second trigger. The first biasing member is configured to, upon application of force to the first trigger, automatically move an ampule in a distal direction relative to the main body to force the ampule against the protrusion, so as to break the ampule and allow a medicament to flow from the ampule to the second compartment.
