Medical dispensing device

In some examples, a medical dispensing device includes a housing and a trigger. A first engager of the device is configured to move axially as the trigger pivots. As the first engager moves, it engages a rod. A maximum proximal position of the rod is defined by a stop. A spring presses the first engager into the trigger such that either the trigger or the first engager rests against a stop limiting rotation of the trigger. A second engager moves axially as the trigger pivots. At the actuated position the second engager, defined by a stop, the second engager limits proximal movement of the rod. An assembly transfers movement of the trigger to the second engager after the trigger has pivoted a threshold amount. A member of the assembly distally moves the second engager. Until it is at the actuated position, the second engager enables the rod to proximally move.

The present invention relates to a medicament delivery device comprising a housing, an actuation mechanism (40) arranged inside said housing, the actuation mechanism comprising a plunger rod (42) arranged to act on a stopper (18) of a medicament container (16); an actuator (84) arranged slidable and connected to the plunger rod (42) for acting on the stopper (18) when said actuator (84) is operated by displacing it in a longitudinal direction of the actuation mechanism (40); an activator (104) rotatably arranged for activating said actuation mechanism and for setting a dose; said activator (104) comprising a generally tubular activator sleeve (148), said activator sleeve (148) comprises protrusions (150) arranged to interact with ledges (90) on said actuator (84) such that said activator sleeve (148) is rotated when said actuator (84) is operated. The invention is characterised in a first audio generating mechanism comprising audio generating elements (94) and said protrusions (150), which protrusions (150) are arranged to cooperate with said audio generating elements (94) for generating an audible signal after said operation for delivering a dose.

Priming arrangement for drug delivery device

An injection device (100) for injection of a medicament from a pre-filled container (10) having a container body (12) for containing the medicament, a needle (16) disposed at a distal end of the container body (12), a removable needle shield (30) and a stopper (22) for expelling medicament from the container (100), the device comprising a housing (110) for housing the container (10), a plunger (142) for driving the stopper (22) of the container (10) in a distal direction to expel the medicament, and a priming mechanism having an operating member (152) which is movable with respect to the housing (110). The priming mechanism is arranged to release the needle shield (30) from the needle (16) and to move the container body (12) in a proximal direction with respect to the plunger (142) upon movement of the operating member (152) from a first position to a second position during an operating sequence of the device.
