Various handheld medical dispensing configurations and methods including the following: Handheld medical dispensing system comprises a syringe, which has a plunger, releasably mounted to syringe actuation apparatus, the apparatus having an actuator configured such that it can move the plunger more than once to dispense a plurality of amounts of substance from the syringe and having a housing adapted for singled handed administration of an injection.
Syringe Injection Aid
An apparatus comprises a body having an opening at a first end of the body. A plunger control grip is slidably coupled to a portion of the body circumference and configured to couple to a syringe plunger. The apparatus further comprises a cover pivotably coupled to the first end of the body, wherein in an open position the cover exposes a cavity configured to receive a syringe. A locking mechanism is pivotally secured to the cover, wherein the locking mechanism is configured to prevent forward movement of the plunger control grip when in a locked position and to enable forward movement of the plunger control grip when in an unlocked position. The unlocked position is activated by external contact with the locking mechanism and forward movement is in the direction toward the first end of the body.
PACKAGING FOR MEDICAL DEVICE AND MEDICAMENT
A packaging for a medical device and medicament comprising a packaging body having first and second regions. A medicament delivery device is received in the first region and a medicament container is received in the second region. The medicament delivery device includes a chamber configured to receive the medicament container. The packaging body includes a hinge between the first and second regions such that the first and second regions are pivotable about the hinge from a storage position in which the first and second regions are spaced apart to a loading position in which the first region lies adjacent the second region. The chamber and medicament container are equidistantly spaced from the hinge such that the medicament container is loaded into the chamber when the first and second regions are pivoted into the loading position.
Cartridge insertion for drug delivery device
A method and assembly are disclosed for interfacing between a drug cartridge and a drug delivery device. Optionally, the drug delivery device includes a compartment that retains the cartridge during drug delivery and/or a stopper pushing assembly mounted to the device behind (proximal to) the compartment. In some embodiments, the cartridge may be inserted laterally into the compartment in front of the pushing assembly. For example, the delivery device may include a moving cartridge bay. The cartridge is optionally inserted into the bay and/or the bay and cartridge optionally move into the cartridge compartment. Alternatively or additionally, the cartridge compartment may have a proximal opening into which the cartridge is inserted and/or the pushing assembly may be moved into position after insertion of the cartridge. In some embodiments the cartridge may have a distal seal that is broken by a longitudinal movement.
DRUG CASSETTE, AUTOINJECTOR, AND AUTOINJECTOR SYSTEM
A cassette for use with an injector has a housing, and a cassette identification arrangement (cassette ID) defining a code containing information about the cassette that is detectable and decipherable by an injector. The cassette may further have a sleeve movably disposed within the housing, for holding a drug container, and a locking arrangement for interlocking the sleeve with the housing. The cassette may further have an aperture in the housing, and a cassette cap for removing a needle shield of the drug container. The cassette may have an anti-bending structure to prevent bending or flexing of the cassette cap. The injector may have a processor for controlling operational parameters of the injector and a detector communicatively coupled with the processor for detecting and communicating the cassette ID to the microprocessor to decipher the code defined therein. Also, a method of injecting a drug into a patient with an injector, wherein the sequence of actions performed by the user are controlled. Still further, a method of treating a patient in need thereof wherein a cassette containing a drug is provided and administered to the patient using an injector.
EXOSTRUCTURE TO ASSIST IN ACCURATE SYRINGE INJECTION
A syringe exostructure includes a main body which removably receives a syringe having a syringe barrel and a syringe plunger. A drive plunger is reciprocatably mounted on the main body, and a plunger bar is slidably received in an axial channel on the drive plunger. The plunger bar is configured to removably couple to the syringe plunger when the syringe is introduced into the main body. A drive pawl assembly is fixed to an upper surface of the drive plunger and transfers forward motion of the drive plunger to the plunger bar as the drive plunger is advanced and disengages from the plunger bar when the drive plunger is retracted. A locking pawl assembly is fixed to the main body and extends through a slot formed in the bottom of the axial channel in the drive plunger. The locking pawl engages the plunger bar and allows the plunger bar to be advanced by the drive plunger as the drive plunger is advanced but prevents the plunger bar from being retracted by the drive plunger as the drive plunger is retracted.
SYRINGE WITH INJECTION DOSE ADJUSTMENT FUNCTION
A syringe with an injection dose adjustment function, comprising a medicine vial connecting apparatus and an adjustable propulsion apparatus; by means of assembling the medicine vial connecting apparatus and a medicine vial, and then installing the adjustable propulsion apparatus in the medicine vial connecting apparatus and extending same into the medicine vial, a rotating knob of the medicine vial connecting apparatus can drive a push rod of the adjustable propulsion apparatus to move backward to a predetermined scale; at the time of injection, pressing the push rod enables the medicine vial to output a predetermined dosage of medicinal liquid, such that the syringe can adjust the injection dosage according to the requirements of different injection subjects.
RADIOEMBOLIZATION DELIVERY DEVICE
A delivery assembly includes a console including a vial containment region and a vial engagement mechanism extending from the console within the vial containment region. The engagement mechanism is configured to engage a vial assembly. The delivery assembly further includes a sled assembly removably coupled to the console at the vial containment region and a safety shield removably coupled to the console over the vial containment region such that the vial engagement mechanism and the sled assembly are encapsulated within the safety shield when the safety shield is coupled thereto. The sled assembly, the vial assembly, and the safety shield are configured to inhibit radioactive emissions from within the vial containment region.
Medicament container holder for a medicament delivery device and method of assembling a medicament delivery device
A medicament container holder for a medicament delivery device is presented having a C-shaped tubular body having a longitudinal gap extending along the entire axial extension of the C-shaped tubular body, which C-shaped tubular body is configured to be placed around a medicament container, wherein the C-shaped tubular body has a first axial end provided with an end flange extending radially inwards and configured to bear against a neck of a medicament container, and wherein the first axial end is provided with a lip extending proximally from the end flange.
Medical Delivery Assembly With Multi-Port Needle
A delivery assembly includes a console including a vial containment region and a vial engagement mechanism extending from the console within the vial containment region.
