Transfilling device
Disclosed is a transfilling device (1) for transfilling a liquid drug from a cartridge (3) to a flexible reservoir (4). The transfilling device (1) includes a support unit (111) and a plunger (113), the support unit (111) configured to receive the cartridge (3), the plunger (113) being insertable into the cartridge (3), wherein the plunger (113) is displaceable relative to the support unit (111) along an advancement direction (2) between a plunger retracted position, where the plunger (113) is in a most distal position relative to the support unit (111), and a plunger advanced position, where the plunger (113) is in a most proximal position relative to the support unit (111), wherein the plunger (113) is configured to push a piston (32) of the cartridge (3) from a piston retracted position to a piston advanced position by displacing the plunger (113). The transfilling device (1) further includes a transfer cannula (12, 12), wherein the transfer cannula (12, 12) is configured to penetrate a flexible reservoir septum (41) with a cannula outlet end (122) and to penetrate a cartridge septum (31) with a cannula inlet end (121) and thereby to fluidly couple the flexible reservoir (4) with the cartridge (3). The transfilling device further includes a reservoir locking unit (13), wherein the reservoir locking unit ( ) is configured to releasably mechanically couple the support unit (111) to the flexible reservoir (4) and wherein the coupling of the reservoir locking unit (13) is designed such that the coupling is released in the plunger advanced position.
MULTIPLE USE COMPUTERIZED INJECTOR
A computer-controlled injector for use with a medicament cartridge and including a housing having a medicament cartridge receiving volume and a medicament cartridge insertion and removal opening communicating with the medicament cartridge receiving volume; a pivot mount element mounted onto the housing for selectably enabling access to the medicament cartridge receiving volume via the opening; a mechanical latch selectably locking the pivot mount element in a closed operative orientation; and an injection drive mechanism including a computer-controlled motor for driving a piston, forming part of the medicament cartridge, for injecting a medicament, the computer-controlled motor also being operative for operating the mechanical latch.
MAGNETIC DOSAGE SENSING
An attachment for a drug injection pen includes a housing shaped to attach to a proximal end of the drug injection pen, and a dosage measurement system disposed at least in part within the housing. The dosage measurement system is coupled to receive a rotational motion, from a dosage injection mechanism disposed within the drug injection pen, when the drug injection pen dispenses a fluid. The dosage measurement system includes one or more magnets to generate a magnetic field, and one or more magnetic field sensors. The one or more magnetic field sensors rotate relative to the one or more magnets when the drug injection pen dispenses a fluid, and output a signal indicative of the magnetic field.
Method and apparatus for applying an anesthetic and bactericide
A method and an apparatus for applying an anesthetic includes a receptacle having an upper end, a substantially hollow interior, a lower end having a tube or nozzle extending therefrom, and an attachment for attaching to the barrel of a syringe or vice versa. The receptacle receives a container or canister containing an endothermic gas or vapor(propellant) that rapidly absorbs heat when released to the atmosphere. A depressible actuating member or trigger propels the gas or vapor through an outlet nozzle that is oriented to project a stream of gas or vapor along a delivery axis that intersects a delivery axis of the needle, therefore, the gas or vapor can be successively delivered to an injection site with minimal repositioning of the housing.
Syringe carrier
Described is a syringe carrier comprising a body adapted to receive a barrel of a syringe. The body includes two sections having distal ends with shoulder sections. The shoulder sections are adapted to engage a circumferential gap between the barrel of the syringe and a needle shield covering a needle of the syringe.
Pharmaceutical injecting device, display control method for pharmaceutical injecting device, and injection site display device
A pharmaceutical injecting device comprises a main body case, a piston, a drive mechanism, a display component, and a controller. The body case has a cartridge holder in which a pharmaceutical syringe is installed. The piston is provided movably with respect to the pharmaceutical syringe that is installed in the cartridge holder. The drive mechanism drives the piston. The controller is electrically connected to the drive mechanism. The display component is connected to the controller. The controller has a display controller. The display controller causes the display component to display a plurality of injection sites and to display at two or more injection sites selectable displays indicating that those injection sites are suitable for injection.
Veterinary syringe for multiple injections
A trigger operated syringe (100) for intramammary injection of antibiotics has a fluid containing syringe cartridge (203) activated by a plunger (206) which is inserted into the syringe cartridge (203A) and expels fluid when the trigger (205) is pulled. A syringe cartridge holding mechanism (223) holds the syringe cartridge in place until the trigger (205) is released and the plunger (206) retracted. Single syringe cartridge (203) and multiple syringe cartridge (204) versions are disclosed. The plunger moves in a direction which is effectively perpendicular to the direction of movement of the trigger, allowing for ease of injection to a cow's teats, and ejection of the spent cartridges.
AUTO-INJECTOR
An auto-injector for receiving a primed syringe includes: a plunger driver for coupling to a plunger head of the syringe when the syringe is fitted within the auto-injector, and configured to drive a plunger into a barrel of the syringe, wherein the plunger driver positioned on the auto-injector such that it is below the plunger head when the syringe is primed and fitted within the auto-injector.
Carpule retentive sleeve with internal stopper retainer for aspirating syringe
A carpule retentive sleeve with internal stopper retainer for use with an aspirating syringe is disclosed. The carpule retentive sleeve includes a tubular body. At one end of the tubular body is a collar and a stopper retaining sleeve. The tubular body, the collar, and the stopper retaining sleeve are hollow members. Accordingly, a channel runs along the entire length of the carpule retentive sleeve. Further, a method is provided of retrofitting a standard aspirating syringe with the presently disclosed carpule retentive sleeve. Further, a method is provided of using the presently disclosed carpule retentive sleeve to retain a stopper inside the anesthetic carpule.
