Cover and electronic device having same
Disclosed is a cover including a receiving portion having a space defined for receiving an electronic device, a covering portion, and a hinge portion connecting the receiving portion and the covering portion and allowing the covering portion to pivot. The covering portion includes, in a state in which the covering portion is pivoted in a specified direction about the hinge portion to at least partially cover the space, a light guiding member disposed on the first surface for guiding light, and an outer cover layer disposed on a second surface opposite to the first surface. In addition, various embodiments understood through the specification are possible.
RECEIVING DEVICE
A receiving device includes a casing, a guiding member, a rotation member, a key, and a pushrod. The casing includes a baseboard, a first side plate, a second side plate, and a receiving member. The guiding member is received in the receiving member and defines a receiving groove. The rotation member rotatably covers the receiving groove and defines a bump element. The bump element is mounted on the first side plate through a first spring. The key is movably arranged in the casing. The pushrod includes a first end, a second end, and a spindle. The key is driven by an external force to drive the pushrod to rotate about the spindle, and the pushrod drives the rotation member to rotate until the receiving groove is no longer covered, thus the receiving groove is opened.
PROTECTIVE HOUSING AND COVER MECHANISM THEREOF
A protective housing includes a housing and a rotating cover mechanism. An opening and a restriction groove are defined in the housing, and the cover mechanism includes a cover body and a latching member rotatably mounted on the cover body. The cover body includes an outer cover and a supporting plate detachably coupled thereto. The latching member includes a handle, a latch between the outer cover and the supporting plate and coupled to the handle, and a mechanical button adjacent to the latch. The latch includes a positioning groove. The partly exposed mechanical button is located between the outer cover and the supporting plate. The handle causes the latch to be received in the restriction groove and the mechanical button is received in the positioning groove to lock the latch.
Server connectivity control for a tele-presence robot
A robot system with a robot that has a camera and a remote control station that can connect to the robot. The connection can include a plurality of privileges. The system further includes a server that controls which privileges are provided to the remote control station. The privileges may include the ability to control the robot, joint in a multi-cast session and the reception of audio/video from the robot. The privileges can be established and edited through a manager control station. The server may contain a database that defines groups of remote control station that can be connected to groups of robots. The database can be edited to vary the stations and robots within a group. The system may also allow for connectivity between a remote control station at a user programmable time window.
PROTECTIVE CASE FOR A COMPUTING DEVICE AND METHOD OF USE
A method of protecting a computing device is provided including detachably connecting a leading edge of a base portion of the computing device to one or more device receiving members of a first portion of a case. The trailing edge of the base portion is secured to the first portion of the case. The first portion of the case may substantially envelope the base portion of the computing device and a plurality of perimetral fastening members may be detachably connected to a second portion of the case. The perimetral fastening members may detachably connect to perimetral edges of a screen portion of the computing device. A protective shell may be formed around the computing device by pivoting adjoining edges of the first and second portions of the case about a linking pliable member in communication with the trailing edge of the computing device.
Electron-device protection casing using magnetic connection
An electron-device protection casing using magnetic connection includes a protection casing for receiving a tablet form electronic device; a device end connecting unit installed in the protection casing for being connected to the electronic device. The device end connecting unit further includes at least one device end magnetic unit which is positioned in the body; the device end magnetic unit serves to be magnetically connected to an external device so that the external connecting unit can be fixedly connected to the external device. The present invention further includes an intermediate connecting unit which further has at least one intermediate magnetic unit positioned for being magnetically connected to the device end magnetic unit; the positions of the device end magnetic units are corresponding to those of the intermediate magnetic units so that the device end magnetic units are attracted by the intermediate magnetic unit.
Adaptive battery pack-to-accessory device
A device includes a battery pack receptacle that removably connects to one of multiple adapters for an associated battery pack that is used for a cordless device. At least one accessory device is connected to the battery pack receptacle. Power from the associated battery pack is used as a power source for the at least one accessory device.
PROTECTIVE CASE FOR PORTABLE ELECTRONIC DEVICE
A case for an electronic device includes a panel having a plurality of turned edges. Certain of the plurality of turned edges comprise different heights that may expose certain elements or portions of the corresponding electronic device. The panel may further comprise an opening for exposing a speaker, microphone, camera, audio jack, button, tab or other element of the electronic device.
APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR PROCESSING AUDIO SIGNALS
Apparatus comprises one or more first microphones for providing audio signals from captured acoustic signals; one or more conductive terminals for connection to one or more conductive terminals of an external cover device for receiving audio signals provided by one or more second microphones included in the external cover device; and one or more processors coupled to the one or more first microphones and to the one or more conductive terminals and configured to perform audio processing on the audio signals from the one or more first microphones and/or from the one or more second microphones based on a control input. Cover apparatus comprises one or more microphones and one or more conductive terminals for providing audio signals provided by said one or more microphones to the electronic apparatus.
Grooved case construction for an electronic device
A grooved case construction selectively encases and displays an electronic device, and includes a grooved device-holding mechanism and either a panel assembly or a kickstand element made structurally cooperable with the device-holding mechanism. The device-holding mechanism is sized and shaped to removably receive an electronic device, and provides an anterior device-receiving section and a posterior component interface. The posterior component interface includes at least one, but preferably a plurality of component-receiving grooves for providing a grooved pattern. Both the panel assembly and the kickstand couple to the posterior component interface via the grooved pattern and may be so coupled in any number of orientations for providing the user with any number of options for displaying the device-holding mechanism. When outfitted with a panel assembly, a cover panel may selectively either cover the anterior device-receiving section or provide support for the device-holding mechanism.
