The present invention relates to devices used to shade the screens of cell phones and tablet computers from bright sunlight. More specifically the present invention relates to a shade element attached around the body of a cell phone or tablet computer for protecting the screen of the cell phone or tablet computer from bright sunlight when the device is held and used by a user.

A case and a system for wirelessly pairing, storing and charging an adjunct camera to a handheld electronic device, such as a smartphone. A software application on the device controls the adjunct camera. In one embodiment, the case provides a telescopic rod to elevate the adjunct camera. In another embodiment, the case provides a cable on a retractor reel operative for connecting the adjunct camera to the case. The adjunct camera is selectively detachable from the case and attachable to a user or other object for hands-free operation once the software app is engaged. The case, the adjunct camera, the electronic device and the app comprise a system for capturing, streaming and saving video and photos by expanding the reach of the native camera function of the electronic device.

An electronic device with extendable strap and different communication modes depending on the state of the strap comprises a shell, at least one rotating mechanism, a strap, a sensor, and a processor. The shell defines at least one first receiving cavity, the rotating mechanism is received in the first receiving cavity. One end of the strap is wound on the at least one rotating mechanism. The rotating mechanism is able to rotate and store spring force under a driving of the strap. The sensor communicates with the processor to determine the state of the strap according to a rotation direction of the rotating mechanism and thus determine whether the strap is retracted to allow touch screen input by a user, or extended to switch to voice communication with the user.

A cover for a portable terminal having a fixing part for fixing the portable terminal and a folder rotating at the fixing part to open and close the portable terminal. The cover includes an input unit and/or a display unit, and a charging unit. The input unit inputs data to the portable terminal. The display unit displays data from the portable terminal. The input unit and display unit are constructed in the folder. The charging unit is constructed in at least one of the fixing part and folder, and supplies power to the portable terminal generated using a solar cell.

An attachment for a smart phone includes a targeting optic system which, when the attachment is secured to the backside of the smart phone, receives illumination emitted by the white light source and directs the illumination towards the target area from a location that is not directly in front of the camera's image sensor. The attachment directs illumination from the white light source in a direction parallel to the backside of the smart phone to a distance farther away from the camera's image sensor than a distance between the white light source and the camera's image sensor, and from that distance farther away from the camera's image sensor, directs the illumination into the target area.

A mobile device mounted holder includes a body portion, the body portion including a slot for receiving cards. The mobile device mounted holder further includes an attachment mechanism, integrated with the body portion, for attaching to a mobile device. The mobile device mounted holder further includes a clip end located proximate to the slot, such that the clip end prevents the cards, when located in the slot, from sliding out of the slot and the clip end is attached to a flexible arm such that the clip end has a flexed position and in the flexed position the cards are removable.

Disclosed is a cover device for a portable electronic device that includes a cover unit that covers a screen of a display unit of the portable electronic device in such a manner that at least a portion of the screen remains exposed. When the portable electronic device is covered, the cover unit is connected with the portable electronic device such that information displayed on the screen of the display unit is displayed at a position corresponding to the at least a position of the screen that remains exposed.

A protective case for a mobile device having a multi-layered construction is disclosed. The multi-layered construction includes three layers that are co-molded to one another and is capable of being lightweight and low-profile, yet provide a high level of impact protection. The first layer generally forms the external back face surface of the case, the third layer generally forms the perimeter bumper of the case and the second layer forms the internal liner of the case and includes an elevated pattern of walls upon which the back face of the mobile device rest upon. The first layer is comprised of material that has a hardness greater than the other two layers. The third layer is comprised of a material that has a hardness that is greater than the second layer. The layers are configured to interact with one another so that they are capable of distributing and absorbing impact forces to mitigate damage to the mobile device.

The additive can also include a antimicrobial agent to create an antimicrobial device effective in reducing or eliminating bacteria on a surface of the cell phone case.
