A cleaning and sanitizing apparatus for handheld devices may comprise a cuboid-shaped unit body having a top end and a base end, a slot opening, a user interface and microcontroller system for governing the individual components of the said cleaning and sanitizing apparatus for handheld devices, a gripping and carriage apparatus, a removeable cleaning solution reservoir, a pump and sprayer apparatus for dispensing cleaning solution, a moveable cleaning roller apparatus for cleaning the surfaces of handheld devices as such devices are lowered into and raised from the said unit body, and an irradiation chamber located at the base of the cuboid shaped body including at least one germicidal ultraviolet lamp array housed inside the said unit body. The apparatus may further comprise a wireless induction charging module configured to charge a handheld device while the handheld device is within the enclosure or compartment.

In some implementations, identification of the connectible component may identify whether or not a connectible component is connected to the housing. An electronic device storage assembly for isolating and charging a communication enabled electronic device includes a box that defines an interior space. The box has a top, which open so that an electronic device can be inserted into the interior space. A lid is hingedly engaged to the box and is positioned to be selectively hinged to a closed configuration, wherein the lid closes the top. A sheet, which is engaged to an inner surface of the lid and an interior surface of the box, blocks radio waves and microwaves from entering into, and exiting from, the interior space. The sheet thus blocks transmissions to and from the electronic device positioned in the interior space. A charging module, which is engaged to the box and positioned in the interior space, is engageable to the electronic device to charge the electronic device.

A cellphone case with integrated game apparatus for providing entertainment and anxiety relief includes a case body having a case front side, a case back side, a case left side, a case right side, a case top side, a case bottom side, a case inner face, and a case outer face. The case body secures a cellphone. A game enclosure is coupled to the case body. The game enclosure has an enclosure back side coupled to the case outer face on the case back side and a transparent enclosure front side coupled to the enclosure back side and defining an enclosure inside. A device case with integrated visual aid system includes a smartphone case body having a bottom wall and a continuous sidewall for receiving and protecting a smartphone device. Describe herein are methods of constructing fashion accessories using modular origami folding techniques adapted to incorporate a broad range of flexible material. By incorporating and adapting modular origami units, such as Sonobe units, a variety of fashion accessories can be produced. Improved methods of assembling such units into including fashion accessories, further incorporate attachment mechanisms to allow for more robust construction in a fixed and durable state. A variety of fashion accessory designs produced by the described processes are presented.

A sterile enclosure to bring a non-sterile hand-held electronic device such as a smartphone or a tablet into a sterile field comprises a rigid frame, a rigid base and a device holder configured to accept the hand-held device thereon. The use of the device holder to contain the hand-held device prior to engaging with the base and positioning the device therein, allows avoiding contamination of sterile components during use. A sterility indicator is also provided to continuously monitor the sterile enclosure for a possible breach in sterility while inside the sterile field.

A retention device for portable audio, video, and power adapters commonly used with portable electronic devices (e.g., mobile phones) includes a shell that is configured to receive a removable insert formed from a resiliently deformable material, which retains and protects an adapter for a portable electronic device.
