This present invention relates to an electronic device canopy designed to provide protection to an electronic device from the sun, and other weather elements. The electronic device canopy is comprised of a collapsible frame that includes a plurality of legs and cross members, and a canopy fabric that is supported by the collapsible frame. The canopy fabric is comprised of a weather resistant, waterproof and UV protective material or coating. At least one side of the canopy fabric may be rolled up and secured to a top surface to provide the user with access to the interior space of the canopy and the electronic device stored therein. A carrying case may also be included to store and carry the electronic device canopy when not in use.

A case for a portable electronic device that includes a base layer and a perimeter bumper coupled to the base layer for protecting the device is disclosed herein. The base layer is made of a first material and perimeter bumper is made of a second material, different from the first. The perimeter bumper has a different elasticity than the base layer. The elastic frame perimeter bumper extends around a perimeter of the case to provide cushioning or padding for side edges of the case.

A protective arrangement for an electronic device includes a flexible cover having a panel and a skirt that form an interior cavity to receive an electronic device; and an adapter fixedly positioned in the flexible cover and having a male plug with connectors extending into the interior cavity of the flexible cover for mating with a female socket of the device and a contactor with contacts adjacent outwardly from the flexible cover and electrically coupled to one or more of the connectors of the plug. The cover is configured to enclose an electronic device for protection against external elements, pathogens, and other contaminants. The cover is made of thin transparent plastic for viewing and using the touchscreen of the cover while the device is enclosed inside the cover. The cover slides over the device and has a closure at the base to secure the device inside the covering. The cover enables the users to use electronic devices including touchscreen, camera, and other features while the device is protected.

A housing component for a mobile terminal such as a smartphone or a laptop computer, includes a carbon fiber reinforced plastic body that is operative to shield components within the housing from electromagnetic radiation.
