An adapter for use with a drug delivery device having a reservoir for containing a product, the reservoir having a distally projecting end-piece defining a passageway for the transfer of the product from the reservoir, includes a collar engageable with the end-piece, an adaptor securing member limiting translational movement of the collar with respect to the end-piece once the collar is engaged with the end-piece, at least one adaptor anti-rotation member limiting the rotation of the collar with respect to the end-piece once the collar is engaged with the end-piece, at least one deactivating member neutralizing the adaptor anti-rotation member in response to a turning torque equal or greater than a predetermined value applied to the collar when the collar is engaged with the end-piece, thereby allowing the rotation of the collar with respect to the end-piece.

The invention relates to a pen-shaped torsion spring driven injection device for apportioning set dose of a liquid drug. A piston rod having an external thread is driven forward by a rotatable piston rod guide engaging the piston rod. The piston rod guide is rotated by a torsion spring encompassed between the housing and the piston rod guide. A scale drum having a thread engaging the external thread of the piston rod is provided, and the scale drum is rotated up and down the piston rod by a proximal located rotatable dose setting member cooperating with the scale drum. The scale drum thus move helically when rotated as the piston rod is held inrotatable during dose setting.

The present invention relates to an injection device for delivering set doses of a liquid drug to a user. The injection device has a scale drum for displaying the set dose, which scale drum is helically guided in a housing. The scale drum is thus rotational in relation to the housing between a zero position and a set position for displaying the set dose. Further, a needle cannula secured to a hub is mounted in an axially movable manner. The axial movement of the hub is generated by a spring. A blocking mechanism interacting between the scale drum and hub controls the axial movement of the hub such that the needle cannula automatically retracts from the skin of a user in response to the scale drum reaching the zero position.

A syringe includes a sleeve and a pressure vessel with high pressure fluid therein. The sleeve further comprises a sleeve piston. As the high pressure vessel contacts the sleeve piston, and a bump on the sleeve piston destroys the airtight status of the high pressure vessel. While the seal of the high pressure vessel is removed, the compressed fluid flows into the sleeve through the opening of the high pressure vessel and the hole of the sleeve piston. When the closed end of the sleeve moves closer to the closed end of the sleeve piston, the fluid in the sleeve is pressed and flows out of the sleeve through the sleeve hole of the sleeve.

A cartridge assembly for a drug delivery device can include: a cartridge holder, a cartridge containing a drug, and a fixing member, wherein the cartridge holder includes an interior cartridge holding section, the cartridge being arranged in the cartridge holding section, wherein the fixing member is axially secured to the cartridge holder and secures the cartridge permanently in the cartridge holder.

The present disclosure provides a needleless injection device and methods to use the same. The needleless injection device comprises a first slider, a second slider, a driving unit to move the first and second sliders, and an ampoule injection tube. The driving unit controls the movement of the first and second sliders such that the value of the combined momentum of the first and second sliders is substantially zero, and the movement of the first and second slider injects the liquid from the ampoule injection tube into a subject.
