POLAR GROUP-CONTAINING OLEFIN COPOLYMER, MULTINARY POLAR OLEFIN COPOLYMER, OLEFIN RESIN COMPOSITION, AND ADHESIVE MATERIAL, LAMINATE, AND OTHER APPLICATION PRODUCTS USING SAME
The present invention relates to a polar group-containing olefin copolymer (A) which is produced through polymerization using a transition metal catalyst, which has a weight-average molecular weight falling within a specific range and which contains a polar group-containing monomer within a specific range; a multinary polar olefin copolymer (A) indispensably containing a polar monomer component that has a norbornene skeleton and a carboxyl group or an acid anhydride group and having three or more types of monomer units; and a resin composition (C) containing a specific amount of a polar group-containing olefin copolymer (A) and a specific amount of an olefin resin (B).
Multilayered material sheet and process for its preparation
The invention relates to a multilayered material sheet comprising a consolidated stack of unidirectional monolayers of drawn polymer. The draw direction of two subsequent monolayers in the stack differs. Moreover the strength to thickness ratio of at least one monolayer is larger than 4.5.10.sup.13 N/m.sup.3. The invention also relates to a ballistic resistant article comprising the multilayered material sheet and to a process for the preparation of the ballistic resistant article.
PRINTABLE COATING
A primer-less coating composition for facestock comprises: a binder being a water-dispersible polymer; an ethylenically unsaturated compound which is aqueous-dispersible and miscible with or bonded to said water-dispersible polymer, wherein said ethylenically unsaturated compound is able to form a covalent bond with an ink; and a crosslinker, wherein said crosslinker is suitable for binding the coating to the facestock. The coating composition may be applied to a substrate to form a printable film. A printed film in accordance with the invention may be used in a label, for example for use on a container such as a bottle.
SEAM TAPE AND METHODS OF MANUFACTURE AND USE THEREOF
Provided herein are seam tapes and related methods. The seam tapes can be compatible with polyolefin-based waterproof/breathable (w/b) membranes, including polypropylene (PP) w/b membranes and/or polyethylene (PE) w/b membranes. Also provided are seams sealed by means of these seam tapes, as well as materials, fabrics, and garments including one or more of these sealed seams.
Breathable and waterproof composite fabric
A breathable and waterproof composite fabric includes: a fabric sheet having opposite first and second surfaces and defining a plurality of micropores extending through the first and second surfaces; and a waterproof plastic film of a non-porous material that is bonded to the first surface of the fabric sheet, that conforms to the first surface of the fabric sheet, and that is perforated to form a plurality of hollow protrusions extending into the micropores, respectively. The plastic film has inner and outer surfaces. The inner surface is in contact with the first surface of the fabric sheet. Each of the hollow protrusions defines a channel that extends through the inner and outer surfaces for imparting breathability to the plastic film.
ARTICLES OF COMPOSITE CONSTRUCTION AND METHODS OF MANUFACTURE THEREOF
An article manufactured in a mould and which comprises a structural composite of plastics layers, the article having a wall defining an internal space for holding contents therein; wherein, the wall is formed from at least two layers of plastics materials; wherein a first of said layers comprises a thermoplastics material and at least a second layer comprises a thermosetting resin and a fibrous layer.
BREATHABLE AND WATERPROOF COMPOSITE FABRIC AND A METHOD OF MAKING THE SAME
A breathable and waterproof composite fabric includes a fabric sheet and a waterproof plastic film. The fabric sheet has a first surface, a second surface and a plurality of micropores extending through the first and second surfaces. The waterproof plastic film is made of a non-porous material and has an outer surface, an inner surface bonded to the first surface, and a plurality of hollow protrusions protruding from the outer surface. Each of the hollow protrusions defines a channel having an inner open end at the inner surface and an outer open end distal from the inner and outer surfaces. A method of making the breathable and waterproof composite fabric is also provided.
Mutilayered material sheet and process for its preparation
The invention relates to a multilayered material sheet comprising a consolidated stack of unidirection monolayers of drawn ultra high molecular weight polyolefine. The draw direction of two subsequent monolayers in the stack differs. Moreover the thickness of at least one monolayer does not exceed 50 m, and the strength of at least one monolayer is comprised between 1.2 GPa and 3 GPa. The invention also relates to a ballistic resistant article comprising the multilayered material sheet and to a process for the preparation of the ballistic resistant article.
Flame Resistant Composite Fabrics
A flame resistant composite fabric includes a first flame resistant fabric layer, a second flame resistant fabric layer, and a barrier layer that bonds the first flame resistant fabric layer to the second flame resistant fabric layer. The barrier layer is capable of withstanding temperature of 500 F. for at least 5 minutes without substantial change in the integrity of the flame resistant composite fabric.
