Thermoplastic non-woven textile elements
A non-woven textile may be formed from a plurality of thermoplastic polymer filaments. The non-woven textile may have a first region and a second region, with the filaments of the first region being fused to a greater degree than the filaments of the second region. A variety of products, including apparel (e.g., shirts, pants, footwear), may incorporate the non-woven textile. In some of these products, the non-woven textile may be joined with another textile element to form a seam. More particularly, an edge area of the non-woven textile may be heatbonded with an edge area of the other textile element at the seam. In other products, the non-woven textile may be joined with another component, whether a textile or a non-textile.
Blends of liquid epoxy and solid phenoxy resins
This invention relates to epoxy resin formulations for preforms to be used in molding processes, especially resin transfer molding processes and to methods for preparing the performs. The epoxy formulation is based on liquid or solid epoxy resins blended, with medium to high molecular weight, phenoxy resins. These formulations are highly compatible with epoxy curable injection resins, and more over are reacted in the polymeric matrix, without reducing the glass transition temperature (Tg) of the cured composite material.
POLYURETHANE-BASED INSULATION BOARD
External thermal insulation composite systems described herein include a concrete or masonry wall and a multilayer thermal insulation board disposed on the concrete or masonry wall. The multilayer thermal insulation board includes at least one closed cell foam layer comprising polyurethane and polyisocyanurate having an open cell volume of less than 20% by volume according to ASTM D 6226 and at least one open cell foam layer comprising polyurethane and polyisocyanurate having an open cell volume of greater than 80% by volume according to ASTM D 6226.

Microporous material from ethylene-chlorotrifluoroethylene copolymer and method for making same
Microporous material having a spherulitic matrix made from ethylene chlorotrifluoroethylene copolymer has a plurality of pores having an average pore size greater than about 0.01 micrometer. The material is made by thermally induced phase separation (TIPS) process that includes melt mixing ethylene chlorotrifluoroethylene copolymer, diluent and nucleating agent to provide a melt mixed composition; shaping the melt mixed composition; cooling the shaped melt mixed composition to induce phase separation of the ethylene chlorotrifluoroethylene copolymer to provide a phase separated material; and stretching the phase separated material to provide the microporous material. The microporous material may be incorporated into articles and the articles may include one, two or more layers of microporous material.
