INJECTION PEN WITH DIAL BACK AND LAST DOSE CONTROL
A medication injection pen comprises a dose set knob rotatable with respect to a housing to set a desired injection dose. The dose set knob comprises at least one internal thread. A leadscrew includes a thread element for advancing in a first direction via a corresponding thread engagement. A driver is rotationally fixed to the leadscrew and is rotatable in a first direction to rotate and advance the leadscrew in the first direction. The setback member is rotationally fixed to the driver. The dose stop member is rotationally coupled to the setback member and is axially movable relative to the dose set knob when the dose set knob is rotated relative to the setback member. Axial movement of the dose stop member limits the user from setting a dose that is greater than an injectable volume of medication remaining in a cartridge.
DRUG DELIVERY SYSTEM WITH DRUG DIFFERENTIATION FEATURE
A cartridge comprising a generally cylindrical cartridge main body with a proximal edge portion having a circumferential inner surface and a proximal opening surrounded by a circumferential edge, a piston slidable received therein, and a ring-formed code member attached to the circumferential edge portion and comprising an axially extending mounting portion in engagement with the edge portion circumferential inner surface, a flange portion having a distally facing mounting surface in engagement with the circumferential edge and a proximally facing stop surface, and a drive opening allowing a piston rod to engage the piston proximal surface, wherein the flange portion radially extends within the circumferential boundaries of the cartridge main body.
Container adapter for removably attachable syringe
Apparatus for removably attaching a syringe to a container for extracting fluid therefrom into the syringe, which is particularly beneficial for fluid having a relatively high viscosity. The disclosed container adapter holds a syringe adapter securely therein (the syringe adapter configured for providing a fluid path between a container and a syringe) while also securing the syringe adapter to the container, and provides an attachment point for securely attaching the syringe to the syringe adapter and thus to the container (at least) while the fluid is withdrawn from the container into the syringe. The syringe is removably attached to an end of the syringe adapter during the withdrawal, and a cap is provided that closes entry and exit to this attachment point when the syringe is not in place. The cap preferably attaches to the syringe adapter using a connection that mimics the connection used by the syringe.
Drive and dosing device with a stop element for preventing the setting of a dose
Drive and dosing devices for injection devices are disclosed. An embodiment may include a threaded piston rod moveable in a dispensing direction for dispensing a product. A rotation member may be operatively connected to a stop limiter and threadably engaged with the piston rod. Rotation of the rotation member may cause the piston rod to move in the dispensing direction. An embodiment may include a dose knob rotatable for changing a dose. The device may further include a stop element threadably engaged with the piston rod and having a catch. The dose knob may be coupled with the stop element such that during increase of a dose, the stop element is screwed toward the distal end of the piston rod and the catch is moved towards the stop limiter. The stop element prevents increasing a dose when the catch abuts the stop limiter.
Medicament delivery device
The present invention relates to a medicament delivery device comprising a generally tubular distal housing part (10; 110) having opposite proximal and distal ends, wherein third mechanically coded interface means (11; 111) are arranged on its proximal end; a generally tubular proximal housing (20; 120) part having opposite proximal and distal ends and being releasibly connected to said distal housing part, wherein with fourth mechanically coded interface means (22; 122) are arranged on its distal end; a medicament container having a slidable stopper, wherein said container is arranged to be positioned within said proximal housing part; a plunger rod (60; 160) arranged within said distal housing; drive means arranged within said distal housing and being operably connected to said plunger rod for driving said plunger rod and thereby said stopper towards the proximal end of the device; wherein said device further comprises an interface member (50; 150) comprising first (51; 151) and second (52; 152) mechanically coded interface means arranged to match and interact with the third (11; 111) and the fourth (22; 122) mechanically coded interface means when the distal and the proximal housing parts are connected to each other.
AN APPARATUS FOR FILLING A SYRINGE WITH A DOSE OF FLUID
An apparatus for filling a syringe with a verified dose of radiant fluid has a container holder that holds a container of the radiant fluid wherein a syringe oriented at a septum of the container can penetrate the septum. The syringe holder is configured to continuously grip the syringe, to drive the syringe to the container holder and penetrate the septum, to fill the syringe with a dose of the radiant fluid from the container, to drive the syringe to a transfer post, to drive the syringe to a metering zone of a metering station in order to verify that measured radiation is compatible with the dose, and to release the continuous grip.
Medicine injection device
In a medicament dispensing device (1), when a medicament preparation-containing syringe (11) is replaced, a microprocessor (23) detects the time at which the replacement is performed as the time of the start of use of the preparation, and counts the elapsed time after the use of the preparation has started. Then, the microprocessor (23) notifies the result of the counting by a LCD (10), etc. to the user. Also, the microprocessor (23) detects that a syringe needle for dispensing the preparation has been mounted, and after detecting the mounting of the syringe needle, the microprocessor (23) counts the elapsed time after the start of use of the preparation. When an effective use period has expired, the microprocessor (23) issues a message in a step S17 that the effective period of a medicament has expired.
