AUTO INJECTOR WITH EFFECTIVE INSERTION SYSTEM
An auto injector for delivery of administering a medicament comprising: a housing; an electrical motor adapted to move a piston between proximal and distal positions in a longitudinal direction of the auto injector; a syringe holder extending from a proximal to a distal end and configured to receive a syringe, a first spring adapted for moving the syringe holder with the syringe proximally for insertion of the needle; wherein the electrical motor is the only motor in the auto injector.
Force containment in an automatic injector
An automatic injector for delivering a pharmaceutical substance from a reservoir of a cartridge, the cartridge interconnected to a needle at its distal end and mechanically coupled to a plunger driver at its proximal end, the injector comprising a connecting feature on the cartridge a contact surface for contacting an injection site a frame connected to the contact surface, the frame having an interference element with a distal stop, the interference element sized to slidably link to the connecting feature and allow the cartridge to slide up to the distal stop, a snap element allowing the interference element to receive the connection feature, but inhibiting disconnection of the cartridge; the frame further comprising a driver mount, for fixedly containing a plunger driver, the driver for driving a plunger to empty the reservoir of the cartridge through the needle to inject fluid from the reservoir into the injection subject.
AUTO INJECTOR WITH BI-STABLE CLUTCH PLATE
Disclosed herein is an auto injector with a bi-stable clutch plate.
AUTO-INJECTOR WITH LOCKING CLIP
A drug delivery device includes a first subassembly having a cap, a needle cover, a syringe holder configured to receive a syringe assembly, a cassette body, and a lower housing shell, with the cap receiving at least a portion of the needle cover, a second subassembly, including a drive assembly configured to move a stopper of a syringe assembly, and a motor body, with the motor body receiving at least a portion of the drive assembly and the cassette body of the first subassembly configured to receive at least a portion of the motor body, and a locking clip configured to secure the first subassembly to the second subassembly upon assembly of the first subassembly to the second subassembly.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR INFORMATION MANAGEMENT IN COMPUTERIZED INJECTORS
The invention relates to a computer-controlled injector, comprising: a housing configured to receive a medicament cartridge; an injection drive mechanism comprising a computer-controlled motor for driving a piston within said medicament cartridge, for injecting the medicament; a data tag attachable to said medicament cartridge; and an electromagnetic detector disposed within said housing and being connectable to the data tag upon mounting of said medicament cartridge into said housing, said electromagnetic detector permitting data to be read from or written to said data tag. The electromagnetic detector is configured to read or write data irrespectively of a rotational orientation of said medicament cartridge within said computer-controlled injector.
MODULAR SYRINGE HOLDER AND SYRINGE ASSEMBLY METHOD
Modular syringe holders receive small-volume product containers for use in injection devices configured for nominally large-volume product containers, and include an adapter and an adapter holder configured for insertion in such injection devices. The adapter includes a hollow-cylindrical, rigid adapter body and a radially deflectable support element for a receiving a syringe shoulder of a pre-filled syringe. During receipt of the pre-filled syringe, the support element undergoes a radial deflection by a needle protection cap of the pre-filled syringe. The adapter holder is configured to receive the adapter, and a holding portion of the adapter holder blocks the support element against radial deflection in a holding position in an engagement with the syringe shoulder. With the adapter and pre-filled syringe received in the adapter holder, a flexible shoulder-support element diverts axial forces of the shoulder of the pre-filled syringe and is secured by the adapter holder against lateral deflection.
SYRINGE FOR INJECTING AN INJECTABLE SOLUTION CONTAINED IN A DEFORMABLE CARTRIDGE
A syringe for injecting an injectable solution contained in a deformable cartridge includes a main body provided with a receiving compartment for receiving the deformable cartridge, the main body extending between a first end portion, a first opening being defined/formed in the first end portion, and an opposed second end portion, a second opening being defined/formed in the second end portion, a crushing device having a plunger sliding with respect to the main body between a retracted position and an advanced position and bearing a crushing head sliding with respect to the main body inside the receiving compartment for deforming and crushing the deformable cartridge, a support and fixing element to which the plunger is slidably constrained, and coupling means for removably coupling the support and fixing element to the main body and/or enabling the support and fixing element to be coupled to the main body so as to change a mutual position between the support and fixing element and the main body.
MEDICATION DELIVERY DEVICE INCLUDING DISPOSABLE AND REUSABLE PORTIONS
A medication delivery device including a disposable portion and a reusable portion. The disposable portion can include a carrier and a syringe coupled with the carrier. The reusable portion can include a housing which includes radial opening that can receive the disposable portion in a radial direction. The reusable portion also includes a shuttle that includes a guide that can receive the carrier of the disposable portion through the radial opening. The reusable portion also includes an actuator assembly coupled with the shuttle that can move the disposable portion through the passageway of the housing between a stowed state in which the needle is concealed within the housing, a deployed state in which the needle extends from the housing to deliver the medication to a patient, and a retracted state in which the needle is retracted into the housing.
SUBSTANCE DISPENSING DEVICE WITH SIGNALING DEVICE
Device for dispensing a substance having: a dispensing element through which the substance can be dispensed, a displaceable protective element for the dispensing element, a drive element that is coupled with the protective element and a feedback element which can generate a signal when or after a predefined quantity or the entire quantity of the substance to be dispensed has been dispensed characterized in that the feedback device is coupled with the drive element.
Injector apparatus having a clutch to inhibit forward movement of the plunger
An injector apparatus includes a housing (10.sup.1, 10.sup.2) for a cartridge or syringe, a plunger (40) for cooperating in use with the cartridge or syringe to express successive doses, a dose setting arrangement (16, 20) to select a dose volume, and a drive mechanism (22, 24) releasable to advance the plunger in respective predetermined increments of magnitude to express the successive doses. The drive mechanism includes a drive spring (22) for imparting movement directly or indirectly to the plunger (40), and the dose setting arrangement includes a dose setting element (16) moveable in a dose setting routine to define a magnitude of an increment of movement of the plunger for a given dose. The drive mechanism further includes a clutch arrangement (56) operable during the dose setting routine to inhibit forward movement of the plunger and/or to isolate the dose setting element from the force of the drive spring.
