ADMINISTRATION INSTRUMENT FOR MEDICAL USE
An administration instrument includes an injection button which can be pressed at an angle that is not parallel to a needle with respect to a direction in which the needle is inserted into skin. As a result, it is possible to prevent a force of pressing the injection button from being transmitted in the direction in which the needle is inserted into the skin deeper than initial insertion of the needle, thereby achieving an administration under a stable state.
Cartridge insertion for drug delivery device
A drug delivery device includes a compartment sized to receive a cartridge. The compartment includes a cartridge bay that opens so that a cartridge may be inserted into the cartridge bay and that closes when the cartridge is received by the compartment. The drug delivery device also includes a housing including an expanding assembly. The expanding assembly includes a driver supported from a distal end by a linear stabilizer that includes a bearing configured to push against the housing. The driver is rotated by a motor. The expanding assembly also includes two mid screws threadedly connected to the driver, a plunger driver threadedly connected to the two mid screws, and an anti-rotational guide that prevents rotation of the plunger driver.
CASSETTE FOR AN AUTOINJECTOR AND RELATED METHODS
A cassette for a drug delivery device is described that includes a sleeve, a syringe having a barrel disposed in the sleeve, and a plunger-stopper slidably disposed within the barrel. The cassette further includes a spacer that is configured to be coupled to the sleeve. The cassette can form a part of an apparatus for injection of a therapeutic product along with a drug delivery device.
Drug cassette, autoinjector, and autoinjector system
A cassette for use with an injector has a housing, and a cassette identification arrangement (cassette ID) defining a code containing information about the cassette that is detectable and decipherable by an injector. The cassette may further have a sleeve movably disposed within the housing, for holding a drug container, and a locking arrangement for interlocking the sleeve with the housing. The cassette may further have an aperture in the housing, and a cassette cap for removing a needle shield of the drug container. The cassette may have an anti-bending structure to prevent bending or flexing of the cassette cap. The injector may have a processor for controlling operational parameters of the injector and a detector communicatively coupled with the processor for detecting and communicating the cassette ID to the microprocessor to decipher the code defined therein. Also, a method of injecting a drug into a patient with an injector, wherein the sequence of actions performed by the user are controlled. Still further, a method of treating a patient in need thereof wherein a cassette containing a drug is provided and administered to the patient using an injector.
Autoinjector
Described is an autoinjector comprising of a case, a motor adapted to rotate a drive gear, and a curvi-linear plunger adapted to mate with the drive gear. The plunger includes a distal end with a resilient flange, which in a non-deflected state, abuts a proximal collar of a syringe, and, in a deflected state, advances through the proximal collar and engages a stopper in the syringe.

A cassette for use with an injector has a housing, and a cassette identification arrangement (cassette ID) defining a code containing information about the cassette that is detectable and decipherable by an injector. The cassette may further have a sleeve movably disposed within the housing, for holding a drug container, and a locking arrangement for interlocking the sleeve with the housing. The cassette may further have an aperture in the housing, and a cassette cap for removing a needle shield of the drug container. Autoinjector
Described is an autoinjector comprising of a case, a motor adapted to rotate a drive gear, and a curvi-linear plunger adapted to mate with the drive gear.
