Needle mounting feature for ensuring proper reconstitution sequence
In one aspect, a medical injector is provided herein having a body and an overcap releasably attached to the body configured to prevent mounting of a needle prior to mixing of components within the body. In a further aspect, a slidable collet may be provided useable to urge resilient members from an outward disrupted state inwardly to collectively define a needle mount. Advantageously, a medical injector is provided which ensures proper sequence in preparation of the device, particularly with respect to the step of allowing mounting of a medical needle to the device subsequent to preparation of the medicament to be administered.
Autoinjector
Described is an autoinjector comprising of a case, a motor adapted to rotate a drive gear, and a curvi-linear plunger adapted to mate with the drive gear. The plunger includes a distal end with a resilient flange, which in a non-deflected state, abuts a proximal collar of a syringe, and, in a deflected state, advances through the proximal collar and engages a stopper in the syringe.
ADMINISTRATION APPARATUS FOR MEDICAL USE
An expansion/compression mechanism of a piston rod assembly is composed of a bush shaft, a first cylindrical piston rod that is screwed with the bush shaft, a second cylindrical piston rod that is screwed with the first piston rod, and a piston rod holding member for housing the bush shaft and these piston rods. Therefore, the piston rods move linearly in multiple stages.
Medicament delivery device and method of controlling the device
A medicament delivery device is shown for the administration of one or more drug agents. The device has a priming mode and a drug delivery mode for administering delivery of the one or more drug agents. The device comprises a controller configured to set the device in a priming mode when one or more predetermined states of the device are identified and to disable the drug delivery mode during said predetermined state(s). When states of the device are different from said predetermined states, the controller can set the device in the drug delivery mode. A priming mode may still be enabled through a user interface.
Packaging for medical device and medicament
A packaging for a medical device and medicament comprising a packaging body having a first region and a second region. A medicament delivery device comprises a delivery mechanism for administering medicament to a patient. The medicament delivery device is received in the first region and a medicament container is received in the second region. The medicament delivery device includes a chamber configured to receive the medicament container. The packaging body includes a hinge between the first and second regions such that the first and second regions are pivotable about the hinge from a storage position in which the first and second regions are spaced apart to a loading position in which the first region lies adjacent the second region. The chamber and medicament container are equidistantly spaced from the hinge such that the medicament container is loaded into the chamber when the first and second regions are pivoted into the loading position.

Container for injection device with injection needle
With the subject invention, a container for an injection device with an injection needle is provided. The container includes a body having a compartment formed therein to accommodate the injection device in both a pre-use and a post-use condition. The body defines a first opening through which the injection device in its pre-use condition may be accessed, and the body defines a second opening into which the injection device may be directed in its post-use condition. A closure is provided for closing the first opening. The container also includes a retainer for retaining the injection device in the container in its post-use condition preventing access to the injection needle after the injection device has been used to administer an injection. Advantageously, the container of the subject invention provides not only a pre-use packaging for the injection device, but also a post-use sharps container for the injection device.
DRUG INFUSION DEVICE, CARTRIDGE ADAPTER, AND DRUG INFUSION SYSTEM
A cartridge adapter includes: a cartridge holder having a space that can accommodate therein a drug cartridge, the drug cartridge including a cylinder having a tubular internal space extending in a longitudinal direction, a gasket supported in the internal space so as to be movable in the longitudinal direction, and a drug held in the internal space; a piston that moves the gasket in the longitudinal direction in the internal space of the cylinder; a piston guide that movably supports the piston and connected to the cartridge holder; and a piston driving mechanism that drives the piston in the longitudinal direction.
MEDICAMENT INJECTION DEVICE
A medicament injection device comprising: a needle holder holding a needle, a pivotable cartridge holder, the pivotable cartridge holder being pivotable from an open state to a closed state, wherein the pivotable cartridge holder is arranged to receive a medicament cartridge in the open state, and wherein the needle holder is axially movable towards the pivotable cartridge holder when the pivotable cartridge holder is in the closed state.
Capillary channel structure for dispense interface
The invention is related to a dispense interface for a drug delivery device for delivering at least two drug agents, comprising at least two two-ended flow regulation structures and a confluence, wherein each flow regulation structure comprises a fluid inlet opening at a first end, wherein each flow regulation structure comprises a fluid outlet opening connected to the confluence at a second end of the respective flow regulation structure and wherein at least one of the two-ended flow regulation structures comprises a capillary fluid channel. The invention is further related to a drug delivery device for delivering at least two drug agents comprising a dispense interface of the aforementioned kind, to a method for delivering at least two drug agents through an injection means of a drug delivery device and to a method for manufacturing a dispense interface of the aforementioned kind.
