Collapsible Syringe Barrel Disinfection Cap
Flush syringe assemblies are described herein. Such flush syringe assembly may include a collapsible syringe barrel including a corrugated side wall defining a chamber, a closed proximal end, a distal end having a distal wall with an elongate tip extending distally therefrom having a passageway therethrough in fluid communication with said chamber, a pre-selected amount of sterile fluid in the chamber, and a locking element. A collar may be disposed on the distal wall of the barrel and surrounding the elongate tip. An absorbent material and disinfectant or antimicrobial agent may be disposed in a compartment of the collar.
Administration mechanism for a medicament delivery device
An administration mechanism for a medicament delivery device is disclosed having a linearly displaceable medicament delivery member cover, an actuator sleeve, an actuator, wherein the medicament delivery member cover is configured to axially displace the actuator sleeve from an initial position to a distally displaced position thereby displacing the actuator sleeve relative to the actuator, a rotator having a guide structure, a plunger holder, and a plunger rod that is proximally biased. The actuator can engage with the plunger holder in the initial position of the actuator sleeve to prevent the plunger holder from proximal displacement relative to the actuator. The actuator can be released from engagement with the plunger holder by displacement of the actuator sleeve towards the distally displaced position to enable proximal displacement of the plunger holder, the plunger rod and the rotator relative to the actuator. The actuator can rotate the rotator relative to the plunger holder, releasing the plunger rod from the plunger holder.
Single Use Delivery Device Having a Primer Element
A single use delivery device is disclosed having a manually deformable liquid container defining an inner chamber, the container having a distal end, a body, a proximal end, and an outlet on the distal end; a tip projecting from the outlet on the distal end of the container, the tip in fluid communication with the inner chamber of the container; a primer element for removing one or more air bubbles from the chamber, said primer element being attached to and in fluid communication with the deformable container, the container, the tip and the primer element being collapsible to minimize dead space in the delivery device; and two or more one-way valves. A method of administering a fluid to or flushing a vascular access device using a single use pre-filled delivery device as described herein is also disclosed.
CELL CULTURE DEVICE, SYSTEM AND METHODS OF USE THEREOF
The present invention provides a method for culturing cells in a cell culture container having a base section, a top section arranged in parallel with the top section and a wall element arranged between the top section and the base section and defining an internal lumen of the container, in which the wall element of the container is compressible with respect to the top and bottom section, and in which the top section of the container has an optionally sealable inlet, in which the container is composed of a flexible material, comprising culturing cells in a culture medium in the cell culture container. Also provided is a cell culture container having a base section, a top section arranged in parallel with the top section and a wall element arranged between the top section and the base section and defining an internal lumen of the container, in which the wall element of the container is compressible with respect to the top and bottom section, and in which the top section of the container has an optionally sealable inlet, in which the wall element of the container is composed of a flexible material.
Auto-injector
An auto-injector operable in a single activation step. The auto-injector is automatically armed when removed from its carrying receptacle. The auto-injector may be prefilled with more than one constituent of a beneficial agent, stored in separated compartments, in such an arrangement that the compartments will automatically merge when the auto-injector is removed from its carrying receptacle.
SYRINGE DEVICE
A syringe device includes a barrel and a compressible portion is connected to one end of the barrel. A positioning board is located between the barrel and the compressible portion. The positioning board has a hole defined therethrough. A seat is formed to the underside of the positioning board and has a recess and multiple guide grooves which communicate with the recess. A hold part is connected to the distal end of the compressible portion and has a penetrating face. Two flanges respectively extend diametrically from the hold part. A needle is connected to the positioning board and communicates with the recess. The tip of the needle is located within the compressible portion and beneath the penetrating face. By axially compressing the compressible portion and the barrel, the needle penetrates through the penetrating face and extends beyond the hole to eject medicine to the patient.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR PRE-FILLED DUAL-CHAMBER MEDICAL AGENT DELIVERY
A pre-filled dual-chamber medical agent delivery system assembled and configured to allow delivery of a single dose of a combined therapeutic agent (e.g., vaccine, drug, medicament, etc.) from a Blow-Fill-Seal (BFS) vial to a patient. The delivery assembly generally includes a modular design consisting of separately constructed components cooperatively arranged and coupled to one another, such as to facilitate delivery of a reconstituted lyophilized agent to a patient.
Planar Micro Injector with Securing Lanyard and a Circumferential Flexible, Collapsible Ring Constructed of Thin Film
A generally planar micro injector with a securing lanyard is disclosed. The micro injector is constructed of an elastic ampoule with a flexible actuation area affixed to a thin base unit through which an injector needle is plumbed. The micro injector is secured to the hand with an adhesive layer and an affixed securing lanyard and has a flexible, collapsible ring constructed of thin film circumferentially attached around its base. The flexible, collapsible ring is filled with anesthetic gel and extends beyond the tip of the needle.
Single use delivery device having a primer element
A single use delivery device is disclosed having a manually deformable liquid container defining an inner chamber, the container having a distal end, a body, a proximal end, and an outlet on the distal end; a tip projecting from the outlet on the distal end of the container, the tip in fluid communication with the inner chamber of the container; and a primer element for removing one or more air bubbles from the chamber, said primer element being attached to and in fluid communication with the deformable container. A method of administering a fluid to or flushing a vascular access device using a single use pre-filled delivery device as described herein is also disclosed.
SINGLE USE DELIVERY DEVICE
The invention is a single use delivery device configured to enable reconstitution of a lyophilized agent (e.g., vaccine, drug, medicament, etc.) stored within for subsequent delivery of the reconstituted fluid agent to a patient in a controlled manner and without requiring specialized skill in reconstituting the agent or administering delivery of such agent. The delivery device is prefilled with an individual dose of a lyophilized agent and configured to be filled on-site and in the field with a dose of diluent for reconstitution of the lyophilized agent, while remaining sterile and preventing the potential for contamination during the filling process. The delivery device is further configured to be rendered incapable of reuse followings its intended use of delivering the fluid agent to a patient, thereby preventing reuse of the device and reducing the risk of the spreading blood-borne diseases through reuse.
