Closure assembly

A closure assembly for a syringe having a nozzle or access portion and a discharge port including a closure cap or syringe cap having a access engaging portion removably connectible in flow restricting relation to the discharge port. A connecting structure is mounted on the access engaging portion and disposed and configured to define an interactive engagement with an attachment structure of the nozzle or access portion of the syringe. Structural and operative features of the connecting structure enable a “push-on connection” of the closure cap or syringe cap to the nozzle or access portion and a “rotate-off disconnection” of the closure cap or syringe cap from the nozzle or access portion. The closure cap or syringe cap may be used independently of or in combination with an end cap and an included indicator member, wherein the combination closure cap or syringe cap and end cap define a tamper evident cap for the syringe.

A SYRINGE SHOCK ABSORBER FOR USE IN AN INJECTION DEVICE
20170239427 · 2017-08-24 · ·

For use in an injection device, e.g., an auto-injector of any type, a sleeve which holds the medicament chamber is sufficiently deformable that it functions as a shock absorbing member to distribute the force exerted on the medicament chamber during use of the injection device.

Assembly for a drug delivery device and drug delivery device

An assembly for a drug delivery device comprises a housing, a dose member which is displaceable in a proximal direction with respect to the housing for setting of a dose of a drug, a clutch member which is displaced in the proximal direction with respect to the housing when setting the dose, and a stop member configured to define a clutch stop position. The clutch member and the dose member are configured to mechanically cooperate with one another when the clutch member is in the clutch stop position, thereby preventing further displacement of the dose member in the proximal direction with respect to the housing during setting of the dose.

SYRINGE
20220031952 · 2022-02-03 ·

The invention provides a syringe for use in an ophthalmic injection. The syringe comprises a body, a stopper and a plunger. The body comprises an outlet at an outlet end and the stopper is arranged within the body such that a front surface of the stopper and the body define a variable volume chamber from which a fluid can be expelled though the outlet. The plunger comprises a plunger contact surface at a first end and a rod extends between the plunger contact surface and a rear portion. The plunger contact surface is arranged to contact the stopper but not couple thereto, such that the plunger can be used to force the stopper towards the outlet end of the body, reducing the volume of the variable volume chamber, but not to move the stopper away from the outlet end.

DEVICE PORT CLEANER

The present invention includes a device cleaner, and method of use, for cleaning a device port, particularly a medical device port, that may be inserted into the device port cleaner for cleaning and/or disinfecting.

Method and apparatus for manufacturing, filling and packaging medical devices and medical containers

Medical devices such as medical containers can be formed of glass and annealed which produces a clean device having a low bio-burden, or formed by plastic molding which produces a clean device. The clean devices are immediately transferred to a controlled environment such as a clean room or localized area to avoid the need to maintain cleanliness levels in an entire room. Syringe tip closures can be introduced into the housing assembly, where syringe barrels and tip closures are cleaned with filtered ionized air and the tip closures are coupled to the barrels. The syringe barrels can be filled with a substance and a closure member attached. While still in the housing assembly the syringe barrels can be formed into an array and placed in a clean outer container, which is then closed and sealed.

Closure for a medical container
11426328 · 2022-08-30 ·

A closure for a medical container including a base structured to be supported in an operative, upright orientation on a horizontal surface and having an exposed face and a connector disposed thereon and extending outwardly therefrom. A protective cage includes one or more cage members each configured in the form of a helix fixedly connected to the base and extending longitudinally and laterally outward from the connector in at least partially surrounding relation thereto. The base may include self-righting structural features, including an outer surface having a curved, substantially bulbous configuration and a center of gravity disposed between a tipping point of said base and a terminal end thereof.

Syringe assembly having a telescoping plunger rod

A syringe assembly including a syringe barrel having a first end, a second end, and a sidewall extending therebetween defining a chamber is disclosed. The syringe assembly includes a stopper disposed within the chamber of the syringe barrel and a plunger rod having an inner member engaged with the stopper and an outer member adapted for telescopic movement with respect to the inner member. The plunger rod is transitionable from a collapsed position, in which a portion of the inner member is nested within the outer member, to an extended position, in which the same portion of the inner member extends outside the outer member. The syringe assembly also includes a stop member configured for cooperation with a portion of the syringe barrel, upon relative movement of the outer member with respect to the inner member, to limit the outward travel of the plunger rod from the syringe barrel.

DOSING CONTROL COUPLING FOR ENTERAL FLUID TRANSFER AND ENTERAL COUPLINGS AND SYRINGES

An enteral dosing control coupling comprising a cylindrical collar defining a hollow internal chamber and a lumen extension tip projecting axially into the internal chamber, the lumen extension tip defining an internal lumen extending therethrough. In example forms, the lumen extension tip is integrally formed with the cylindrical collar. In other example forms, the lumen extension tip is a separate piece and is removably engageable within the cylindrical collar. In some example forms, the present invention relates to syringes, connectors, couplings, etc. having ISO 80369-3 formatted couplings. In other example forms, the present invention relates to connectors, couplings, etc. for adapting coupling formats other than the ISO 80369-3 coupling format to the ISO 80369-3 coupling format.
