Disinfecting luer cap and method of use
Medical devices including a cap for a medical connector are disclosed. In some embodiments, the cap comprises a disinfectant, such as an antiseptic fluid and an insert configured to seal or partially seal the medical connector as it is engaged with the cap. In some embodiments the cap insert has a segment which is deformable under axially applied pressure as an end-user attaches the cap to the medical connector. In some embodiments this insert is configured to improve the exposure of antiseptic to the outer surface of the medical connector while minimizing exposure of the antiseptic inside the medical connector open lumen.
AIR BUBBLE REMOVAL CAP AND SYRINGE SET
An air bubble removal cap includes: a main body portion that is formed in a tubular shape and defines a hollow portion inside, the hollow portion being configured to communicate with a collection tube that accommodates a body fluid from a living body; a connection portion that is located on a proximal side of the hollow portion and to which the collection tube is connectable; an exhaust portion that is located on a distal side of the hollow portion and is configured to discharge gas discharged from the collection tube; a filter that is disposed in the hollow portion and divides the exhaust portion and the connection portion; and a scattering prevention mechanism that covers a proximal side of the filter and prevents the body fluid from scattering to the filter.
INJECTION DEVICE AND INJECTION SOLUTION TRANSFERRING SYSTEM
An injection device (10) comprises an injection solution receptacle (30) and a plunger (70) at feast a portion of which is slidably received in the injection solution receptacle (30), wherein the plunger (70) is displaceable relative to the injection solution receptacle (30) in a distal direction in order to expel an injection solution contained in the injection solution receptacle (30) from the injection solution receptacle (30). A first plunger stop mechanism (140) is adapted to stop a displacement of the plunger (70) relative to the injection solution receptacle (30) in the distal direction at a first dosing position (P1). A second plunger stop mechanism (140) is adapted to stop a displacement of the plunger (70) relative to the injection solution receptacle (30) from the first: dosing position (P1) in the distal direction at a second dosing position (P2), wherein the first and the second dosing position (P2) of the plunger (70) are selected in such a manner that the plunger (70), upon being displaced relative to the injection solution receptacle (30) between the first and the second dosing position (P2) is adapted to expel a desired dose of the injection solution contained in the injection solution receptacle (30) from the injection solution receptacle (30).
Succinylcholine Chloride Prefilled Syringe
Prefilled syringes containing a succinylcholine chloride composition, where the prefilled syringes comprise a syringe barrel and a syringe tip comprising cyclic olefin monopolymer (“COP”) or cyclic olefin copolymer (“COC”). The syringes can also comprise a luer adapter integral with the syringe tip, where the syringe barrel, syringe tip and luer adapter are a single element comprising COP or COC. The succinylcholine chloride compositions include succinylcholine chloride, a tonicity agent and one or more pH adjusters in an aqueous solution having a pH from about 3.0-4.5. The prefilled syringes containing the succinylcholine compositions are storage-stable for extended periods of time at a temperature of 2-8° C., have acceptable physical parameters such as glide force and break force, and make safe and robust connections with needles and needleless luer adapter devices (“NLADs”).
Sliding syringe cap for separate filling and delivery
A cap for intake and delivery of a fluid from a syringe is described. The cap includes an outer cap assembly comprising a fluid inlet path and a fluid outlet path and an inner cap assembly configured for insertion into a fluid nozzle of the syringe and to provide selective fluid communication between an interior of a syringe and the fluid inlet path or the fluid outlet path. The outer cap assembly is slidable relative to the inner cap assembly between a first filling position, where the interior of the syringe is in fluid communication with the fluid inlet path, and a second delivery position, where the interior of the syringe is in fluid communication with the fluid outlet path. Syringes including the cap are also described.
Method and apparatus to reduce the deadspace in syringes and small-bore devices
Methods and apparatus to reduce deadspace in syringes and other devices with the use of volume displacing members that occupy space within one or more interior spaces of such devices. The volume displacing members are also equipped with one or more internal flow passages that facilitate a flow of a fluid through it. The volume displacing members are also adapted to cooperate with features of the devices that house them to form air-tight and liquid-tight seals that at least partially determine a fluid pathway through the devices.
ANTISEPTIC CAP THAT RELEASES A GAS SUCH AS NITRIC OXIDE
A syringe assembly including: (1) a syringe barrel defining a chamber; (2) a plunger mounted in the chamber and moveable with respect to the barrel; and (3) a cap holder assembly containing a cap and an absorbent material removably attached to the syringe.
Tip Cap for a Medical Injection Device
A tip cap for a medical injection device, including: a tip connector configured to engage a tip of the medical injection device, including a main body and an end portion connected to the main body by a frangible portion; a closure cap configured to sealingly close a distal opening of the tip. The tip cap includes an RFID tag integral with the tip connector. The chip is overmolded in one of the main body and the end portion and the antenna is overmolded in the other one of the main body and the end portion, the chip and the antenna being electrically connected by a bridge extending through the frangible portion of the tip connector, the bridge being configured to break under a relative movement applied to the closure cap and the tip connector in order to release the closure cap from the tip connector.
Gasket and syringe having the same
