Syringe cap, syringe assembly, and prefilled syringe
A syringe assembly of a prefilled syringe includes a syringe cap. A tapered section of a second tubular section constituting this cap has, on an outer peripheral surface of the tapered section, a plurality of stepped sections continuously arranged along a center axis of a cover member, so as to gradually increase a protruding amount of the tapered section from an outer peripheral surface of an annular peripheral wall section toward a vicinity of an outer edge of an opening of a first tubular section.
Castellated Syringe Product Label
Provided herein is a drug delivery device having a barrel defining an interior configured to receive a composition, the barrel having a distal tip, an adaptor including a ring extending from an inner surface and mounted onto the distal tip and having a plurality of alternating grooves and ribs extending from an outer surface, the adaptor rotatable relative to the barrel, and a film including one or more tabs extending from a surface of the film along an edge of the film, the one or more tabs corresponding to and configured to be received within one or more of the plurality of grooves, the film applied to the barrel and the adaptor such that the one or more tabs interlock with one or more of the plurality of grooves, thereby preventing relative rotation between the adaptor and the barrel.
Syringe With Integrated Easy-Open Cap
A syringe includes a barrel having a proximal end. a distal end including a distal opening. and a sidewall extending between the proximal end and the distal end. The syringe further includes a plunger positioned in the barrel for expelling fluid from the barrel through the distal opening and a cap connected to the distal end of the barrel including a connector defining a flow channel through the cap. The cap is movable relative to the barrel between a first position, where fluid flow through the distal opening of the barrel to the flow channel of the connector is prevented. and a second position, where fluid flow through the distal opening of the barrel to the flow channel of the connector can occur.
Gas Sterilizable Syringes Having Apertures Covered by Gas Permeable Barriers for Enabling Ingress and Egress of Sterilization Gases While Preventing Leakage of Flowable Materials
A gas sterilizable syringe includes an enclosure having walls that define a fluid chamber. A flowable material is disposed within the fluid chamber of the enclosure. A plunger is assembled with the enclosure and is moveable toward a distal end of the enclosure for dispensing the flowable material. One or more apertures are formed in at least one of the walls of the enclosure. A gas permeable barrier covers at least one of the apertures formed in at least one of the walls of the enclosure for enabling sterilization gases to pass through the at least one aperture covered by the gas permeable barrier while preventing the flowable material from passing through the at least one of aperture. The gas permeable barrier is permeable to the sterilization gases and impermeable to the flowable material disposed within the fluid chamber of the enclosure.
Methods for disinfecting a luer connector medical device
Devices and methods for sterilizing the outer and inner surfaces of a working end-site of a medical device such as a catheter hub, luer connector, luer component, needleless access site, and/or access port are discussed. The sterilizing device can include a housing, a sterilizing element including an antipathogenic agent configured for sterilizing the working end-site of a medical device, and a cap hingedly coupled to the housing and configured to hermetically seal the sterilizing element within the housing. One or more features on the cap and housing serve to hermetically seal the cap to the housing prior to use.
Dosing control coupling for enteral fluid transfer and enteral couplings and syringes
An enteral dosing control coupling comprising a cylindrical collar defining a hollow internal chamber and a lumen extension tip projecting axially into the internal chamber, the lumen extension tip defining an internal lumen extending therethrough. In example forms, the lumen extension tip is integrally formed with the cylindrical collar. In other example forms, the lumen extension tip is a separate piece and is removably engageable within the cylindrical collar. In some example forms, the present invention relates to syringes, connectors, couplings, etc. having ISO 80369-3 formatted couplings. In other example forms, the present invention relates to connectors, couplings, etc. for adapting coupling formats other than the ISO 80369-3 coupling format to the ISO 80369-3 coupling format.
Syringe with Luer-lock connector provided with a tamper-proof cap
A syringe including a hollow cylindrical body containing a product to be injected and from which there extend a hollow tip equipped with a Luer-lock connector and a plunger, sliding inside the hollow cylindrical body; and a tamper-proof cap including a closure cap and a tamper-proof insert, where the closure cap includes a portion for coupling with the Luer-lock connector and a handle portion. An external seat for housing the tamper-proof insert is formed in the handle portion of the main body of the closure cap. The tamper-proof insert includes at least one longitudinal section, a transverse section and a terminal element, which is connected to a free end of the longitudinal section by a frangible connection, the terminal element configured to be immovably housed in a corresponding groove formed on an external surface of the Luer-lock connector. The tamper-proof insert is immovably coupled to the closure cap.
DOSING CONTROL COUPLING FOR ENTERAL FLUID TRANSFER AND ENTERAL COUPLINGS AND SYRINGES
An enteral dosing control coupling for engagement with an ENFit connector. The enteral dosing coupling includes a cylindrical collar defining a hollow internal chamber and a lumen extension tip projecting axially into the internal chamber and defining an internal lumen extending axially therethrough. The lumen extension tip is a separate piece and configured for coupling engagement with the cylindrical collar such that direct engagement with the lumen extension tip by a non-ENFit connector with required force causes retraction of the lumen extension tip.
