OCULAR DEVICE CASE AND REFILL CONTAINER USED FOR THE OCULAR DEVICE CASE

An ocular device case with a new structure that can solve unexpected problems in the related art, for example, adverse effects on user's eyes by splashes of treatment liquid upon pouring the treatment liquid into the device case from a separate refill container. In a device case including: a case body accommodating treatment liquid with ocular devices such as a contact lens; and a lid, a container receiving portion is provided such that a spout of a refill container is brought into contact with the refill receiving portion so as to allow the treatment liquid to flow into the device case.

Push-up contact lens blister package

A blister package for a contact lens is provided and has a body and a seal. The body includes a handle and a deformable bowl. The seal seals the deformable bowl at a bowl top opening. The handle includes a lateral portion and an end portion. The end portion curves downwardly to a distal end that terminates at a plane. The bowl is recessed from a top surface of the body and the outer bottom surface of the bowl is arranged substantially on the same plane as the distal end of the handle. The design provides leverage in holding the blister package while a user deforms and inverts the bowl into a dome, presenting a contact lens on top of the dome in position for direct transfer to a person's finger or for application directly on an eye without the need for any finger contact.

Crosslinked polymeric network and use thereof

A packaging system for the storage of an ophthalmic device includes a sealed container containing one or more unused ophthalmic devices immersed in an aqueous packaging solution comprising one or more crosslinked polymeric networks. The one or more crosslinked polymeric network comprises a reaction product of a first glycosaminoglycan, a second glycosaminoglycan, and a first crosslinking agent, wherein the first glycosaminoglycan is different than the second glycosaminoglycan. The aqueous packaging solution has an osmolality of at least about 180 mOsm/kg, a pH of about 6 to about 9 and is heat sterilized.

A contact lens package includes a multi-layer laminate substrate and a cover sheet. The multi-layer laminate substrate includes a first polymer layer, a first metal layer and at least one pre-formed lens receiving portion that is sized to hold at least a portion of a contact lens. The cover sheet is removably secured to the substrate and configured to seal a contact lens within the at least one lens receiving portion. The substrate has sufficient structural integrity to maintain a shape of the lens receiving portion.

Compositions, methods of treatment, and containers including compositions

Compositions for treatment of cystinosis, products for administering eye drops, and products for storing contact lenses are provided. Compositions include solutions that can contain an effective amount of cysteamine to treat cystinosis, and an oil with a lower density than the solution. Also provided is a product including a bottle for containing a solution, the bottle being substantially free of O.sub.2. Also provided is a contact lens holder for storing one or more contact lenses in a solution, the holder including barrier layers reducing the amount of O.sub.2 entering the contact lens holder.

Blister Package For Contact Lens

A blister package for a contact lens is provided. A deformable slider supporting a lens is movable via pull-tab or hinge to lift the contact lens out of a lens well. The deformable slider can include a hinge connected to a flexible peel-away top of the blister package or connected to a pull tab that can be pulled to pull taut the deformable slider. A blister package is also provided that includes a hinged shell having a lateral opening opposite the hinge, and a deformable slider that is folded over onto itself and seals both a top chamber and a bottom chamber. By pulling a tongue of the deformable slider, which extends from the lateral opening, the deformable slider can be removed from the closed shell and the closed shell can be opened enabling access to the contact lens.

PACKAGING SOLUTIONS

A packaging system for storing ophthalmic devices such as contact lenses and methods for packaging such ophthalmic devices with solutions is disclosed. The packaging system contains an unused, ophthalmic device in an aqueous packaging solution comprising tris(hydroxymethyl)aminomethane or a salt thereof; wherein the solution has an osmolality of at least about 200 mOsm/kg and a pH in the range of about 6 to about 9.

The aqueous packaging solution has an osmolality of at least about 180 mOsm/kg, a pH of about 6 to about 9 and is heat sterilized

Tessellating Blister Packages For Contact Lenses

A blister package for a contact lens is provided that can be stacked with other blister packages of the same design. One example of the blister package has a body that includes a dome and a handle. A seal is attached to the top surface of the body and has a seal dome that seals a volume between the outer sidewall of the body dome and the inner sidewall of the seal dome. The handle has a through-hole and the through-hole that accommodates the outer sidewall of the seal dome. Another blister package provided has a handle and a bowl and the handle has a through-hole that accommodates the bowl outer surface. Stacks of blister packages are also provided as is secondary packaging for packaging stacks of tessellating blister packages.

Contact lens case

A contact lens case is disclosed. The contact lens case has a fluid tank that stores fluid (e.g., contact lens solution, water, etc.). The contact lens case also has two lens assemblies (e.g., a first lens assembly and a second lens assembly), wherein each lens assembly has a lens reservoir that stores a contact lens. Further, each lens assembly has a pressure pump that upon actuation, draws fluid from the fluid tank, through a suction line and a one-way valve, to the corresponding lens reservoir.
