A button for setting and dispensing a dose of a drug from a drug delivery device is described. The button comprises a plastic component and a metal component, wherein the plastic component is at least partly received by the metal component, and wherein the metal component is configured to be manipulated by a user for setting and dispensing the dose. Furthermore, a method for assembling a button for a drug delivery device and a drug delivery device comprising the button are described.

A dose setting mechanism for a medicament delivery device is presented having a pinion mounted to a locking member where the axis of rotation of the pinion is offset and parallel to the longitudinal axis of the housing containing the dose setting components. Primary and secondary dose members are engaged with the pinion to indicate a set dose of medicament.

Drive and metering devices for injection devices include a dose display element with a helical dosage scale; an indicating means; a metering member, which can be rotated relative to the indicating means for dose setting; a discharge spring and an advancement member. The dose display element can be screwed relative to the indicating means about a longitudinal axis (L) and a value on the dose scale can be read via the indicating means corresponding to the set dose. The discharge spring causes the advancement member to discharge the product as it moves an overall discharge stroke length (Hg), where the overall discharge stroke length (Hg) comprises a first partial discharge stroke length (H1), during which the dose display element is rotationally secured in relation to the indicating means and where the dose display element can be rotated relative to the indicating means following the first partial discharge stroke length (H1).

The present disclosure is generally directed to a resettable drug delivery device for selecting and dispensing a number of user variable doses of a medicament. The drug delivery device comprises a housing, a cartridge holder, releasably attached to the distal end of the housing, a piston rod, engaging a housing insert and a drive member, a dose setting member, guided within the housing to allow rotation of the dose setting member during dose setting and dose dispensing, and a clutch for rotationally coupling the drive member and the dose setting member. The housing insert is rotationally constrained to the housing and is axially movable together with the drive member relative to the housing between a dose setting and dispensing position, and a resetting position. In the dose resetting position. the drive member is rotationally de-coupled from the housing.

A supplemental device for use with an injection device, the supplemental device comprising: a plurality of light sources each being configured to illuminate a surface portion of an injection device, in use, with light of a different wavelength; at least one sensor for generating sensor outputs indicative of the respective intensities of light of different wavelengths reflected from the surface portion; and a processor for: controlling the plurality of light sources to illuminate the surface portion with light of first to third different wavelengths; obtaining first to third values for sensor outputs corresponding to the first to third different wavelengths respectively; performing one or more calculations using at least the first and second values to provide one or more further values; and using the third value and the or each further value, but not the first and second values, to determine a property of the injection device.

A data collection device including an attachment assembly for attaching the data collection device to a dose setting dial of a medicament administration device, a light source configured to illuminate a portion of a surface of an internal component of the medicament administration device including a pattern of relatively reflective and non-reflecting regions formed on the surface of the internal component, and an optical sensor configured to receive light reflected by at least the relatively reflective regions.

Add-on module (100) for logging the value of an expelled dose from a pen-type drug injector (200), comprising a magnetic sensor system comprising first and second sensor means (745/746) as well as a mechanical dose setting and expelling mechanism comprising a magnetic clutch element (240/740) which rotates during drug expelling. The system further comprises processor means configured to determine (i) on the basis of measured values from the first sensor means, a rotational position of the clutch element, (ii) on the basis of measured values from the second sensor means, a high-speed condition in which the rotational speed of the clutch element exceeds a given threshold level, and (iii) indicate an error state if the high-speed condition is detected.

The present disclosure relates to a dose detection system in combination with a medication delivery device. In one aspect, the system includes a module body adapted to be removably attached to the actuator of a medication delivery device, and one or more magnetic sensing elements attached to said module body. The system detects the amount of rotation of a magnetic ring of said one or more dipoles of a medication delivery device relative to the magnetic sensing elements during dose delivery when the module is attached to the device.

A dispense mechanism for a drug delivery device for the delivery of a primary medicament in a primary cartridge and a secondary medicament in a secondary cartridge includes a primary drive member and a secondary drive member serve for driving a primary and a secondary lead screw. The primary drive member and the secondary drive member are configured to rotate during dose dispense. A coupling member serves for rotationally coupling the primary drive member to the secondary drive member and moves from a first position in which the primary drive member is rotationally decoupled from the secondary drive member into a second position in which the primary drive member is rotationally coupled to the secondary drive member during dose dispense. Rotation of the primary drive member moves the coupling member from the first position into the second position.

A portable pen-type drug injection device (300) comprises a main portion (301) and a clip (360). The clip comprises a base portion mounted to a portion of the drug delivery device, and a clip gripping portion with a free end. The device further comprises drug expelling means having dose setting means (340) allowing a user to set a dose of drug to be expelled, and a piston rod adapted to move a piston of a loaded cartridge in a distal direction to thereby expel drug from the cartridge. Electronic circuitry comprises sensor means adapted to detect a set and/or an expelled dose, and a display (374) is provided to display dose-related values, wherein at least a portion of the display is arranged in the flexible clip main portion.
