Needle Cover for a Medical Injection Device
The present invention relates to a needle cover (1) for protecting a needle (45) mounted on a tip (42) of a barrel (41) of a medical injection device (40), wherein the tip (42) extends from a distal face (44) of the barrel, the needle cover (1) comprising: an inner needle shield (10) extending along a longitudinal axis (B), comprising an inner proximal connection part (12) configured to sealingly contact the tip (42) of the barrel (41), an outer needle shield (20) surrounding at least partially the inner needle shield (10), and fixed to said inner needle shield, the needle cover (1) being characterized in that it comprises at least one actuator (30) integral with the outer needle shield (20), the at least one actuator (30) comprising a proximal inner surface (35) which is tilted relative to the longitudinal axis (B), the actuator (30) being radially movable inwardly relative to the longitudinal axis (B) to slidingly engage the proximal inner tilted surface (35) with the distal face (44) of the barrel (41) so as to cause the needle cover (1) to move in a distal direction along the tip (42) by a wedge effect.
APPLICATOR SYRINGE CONTAINING A STERILE SOLUTION HAVING A MEDICAL ACTIVE SUBSTANCE, AND METHOD FOR PREPARATION OF SAME
An applicator syringe (1) is disclosed containing a sterile solution having a medical active substance, in particular for introducing the solution containing the active substance via a urinary tract and/or bladder catheter into the bladder of a patient. The applicator syringe (1) includes a cylindrical jacket (2), which is closed by a syringe cover (3), which is integrally formed with the jacket (2) and includes an outlet opening (5) and is formed from a cycloolefin copolymer (COC). The applicator syringe (1) furthermore comprises a plunger tip made of an isobutene-isoprene rubber, which is halogenated in particular. The sterile solution containing the medical active substance is arranged in a cavity (6) delimited by the cylindrical jacket (2) having syringe cover (3) and the plunger tip.
Syringe assembly with inverse delivery
A reduced profile syringe assembly is provided that includes an overall profile that is substantially similar to a profile of a syringe barrel. The syringe assembly includes a plunger rod that is significantly disposed within the syringe barrel when filled for use, with the plunger rod adapted to be retracted from the syringe barrel during dispensing of contents of the syringe barrel.
Injector system
An injector including at least one fluid reservoir having a needle, a surface attached to skin and coupled to the fluid reservoir by at least a first joint and a second joint at least a portion of one of the joints being slidable or having interlocking arms. At least a portion of a path of translation of a slidable portion of the first joint and a portion of a path of translation of the second joint are angled in respect to each another.
Injection device with ergonomic housing form factor
An injection device comprises a housing having a proximal end, a distal end and a longitudinal axis extending therebetween. The housing has a hand grip portion with a non-rotationally symmetric cross section about the longitudinal axis of the device at the proximal end of the housing.
Injector needle cap remover
Disclosed is a cover for an injector having a needle, a needle cap, and a needle cap remover, the cap remover being a coupler for a needle cap and a user handle, the user handle having a protruding element opposite the coupler, the protruding element having a short dimension and a long dimension, the cover comprising: at least one adhesive layer covering a surface of an outside of the injector; at least one liner layer, covering the adhesive layer, an extension extending beyond the surface; a first aperture through the adhesive layer and the liner layer aligned to an opening in the surface, the first aperture sized and shaped for passage of the coupler therethrough; and a second elongated aperture, through the extension, having a length being shorter than the short dimension and shorter than the long dimension of the protruding element.
Medicinal fluid delivery devices and associates methods for advancing and retracting needles
Medicinal fluid delivery devices and methods for advancing and retracting needles are disclosed. According to an aspect, a medicinal fluid delivery device includes a tube that defines an interior space that extends between a first and second openings. The device includes a needle including a proximal end and a distal end that substantially align in a first direction. A portion of the distal end is biased to extend in a second direction different than the first direction. A mechanism is attached to the proximal end and configured to position the distal end between a first position and a second position. In the first position, the portion of the distal end is constrained by the interior wall such that is does not extend in the second direction. In the second position, the distal end is not constrained by the interior wall such that it extends in the second direction.
Tissue lifting devices and methods of use
Various implementations include a tissue lifting device that is operable using one hand. The device includes a housing, an actuator that is slidably moveable through a channel within the housing, and a lifting mechanism adjacent a distal end of the housing. The actuator causes the lifting mechanism to lift a tissue. In some implementations, the housing includes a needle adjacent the distal end of the housing that punctures the tissue and allows for injection of a composition behind the tissue. The lifting mechanism according to some implementations is a suction-based (or aspiration) system. And, in other implementations, the lifting mechanism is a grasping system.
Female syringe and syringe kit
A female syringe of a syringe kit includes a female syringe barrel including a cylindrical portion into which a nozzle of a male syringe is insertable, a hollow cylindrical packing arranged in the cylindrical portion, and a cap detachably attached to the cylindrical portion. When the cap is detached from the cylindrical portion, the packing remains in the cylindrical portion, a distal end opening is opened, and the nozzle of the male syringe is fitted in a liquid-tight manner to an inner side of the packing.
Medicament delivery device comprising a visual indicator
Disclosed herein is a pharmaceutical delivery device comprising a cartridge containing a fluid, the cartridge including a light pipe section which acts as a light pipe having an input location; and a light diffusing section optically coupled to the light pipe; and a light source optically coupled to the cartridge at the input location to the light pipe, such that at least some light from the light source entering at the input location is diffused at the light diffusing section.
