A positive pressure hydraulic aspiration syringe is provided. The syringe includes a syringe barrel having a proximal end, a distal end and an inner surface extending there between, a terminal orifice having an inner surface extending from the inner surface of the syringe barrel, a plunger having a proximal end, a distal end, and a sidewall extending there between. The plunger is slidably inserted in the syringe barrel such that the sidewall of the plunger forms a moveable seal against the inner surface of the syringe barrel. The syringe also includes a first piston configured to be displaced as the plunger is slidably inserted in the syringe barrel, a second piston mechanically linked to the first piston. Displacement of the first piston causes displacement of the second piston in an opposite direction of the plunger, which creates a negative pressure vacuum at the terminal orifice.

OPHTHALMIC DEVICE

An ophthalmic device including a cannula having a cannula distal end, a lumen, and one or more orifices coupled to the lumen is provided. The cannula is configured to deliver a fluid. A sleeve is disposed around the cannula and has a sleeve distal end. A handle is coupled to the sleeve and the cannula, the handle having an actuator. An internal mechanism is coupled to the actuator and configured to retract the sleeve relative to the cannula. The internal mechanism includes a follower fixedly coupled to the sleeve and moveable between distal and proximal positions, and a release member movable between an activated position and a release position. The release member is coupled to the actuator and configured to release a force that urges the follower from the distal position to the proximal position when the release member moves from the activated position to the release position.

CONNECTION STRUCTURE AND LIQUID MEDICINE ADMINISTRATION TOOL

A connection structure of a medical container includes a liquid medicine containing part that contains a liquid medicine and a liquid medicine discharge part that discharges the liquid medicine includes: a sealing member including a mounting part to be mounted to cover the outside of the liquid medicine discharge part, an opening formed in the mounting part in an extending direction of the liquid medicine discharge part, and an elastic sealing body disposed in a space between the opening and the liquid medicine discharge part and sealing the liquid medicine discharge part; and a connector including a connection needle that punctures the elastic sealing body, and a needle hub that holds the connection needle, in which the connector has a push-in structure that compresses the elastic sealing body when the connection needle punctures the elastic sealing body.

SYRINGE CAP, SYRINGE ASSEMBLY, AND PREFILLED SYRINGE
20220008660 · 2022-01-13 · ·

A syringe assembly of a prefilled syringe includes a syringe cap. A tapered section of a second tubular section constituting this cap has, on an outer peripheral surface of the tapered section, a plurality of stepped sections continuously arranged along a center axis of a cover member, so as to gradually increase a protruding amount of the tapered section from an outer peripheral surface of an annular peripheral wall section toward a vicinity of an outer edge of an opening of a first tubular section.

TRANSFER DEVICE FOR LIVING ORGANISMS
20210346607 · 2021-11-11 · ·

A transfer device for living organisms is used for placing an object in a living organism. The transfer device for living organisms includes a tubular needle extending in one direction, and a pushing member located inside the needle. The needle is configured to capture an object therein from an opening at a tip of the needle. The pushing member is configured to be movable relative to the needle from inside the needle toward the opening.

ALL-IN ONE SYRINGE ASSEMBLY FOR BLOOD DRAWS AND MEDICINE DELIVERY TO PATIENTS
20210345922 · 2021-11-11 ·

A syringe assembly includes (i) a syringe with a cylindrical body, luer tip at a first end, finger grip at a second end and a cannula extending from the luer tip into the cylindrical body, and (ii) a plunger unit having an adapter portion, receiving cavity, finger grip and piston. A channel extends the length of the adapter portion to receive the cannula in one end and a variety of connectors, valves and/or syringes in a second end. The end of the channel accessible in the receiving cavity mates with or engages any number of commercially available valves, connectors and/or syringes while the luer tip similarly connects to any number of valves, catheters, connectors, etc., depending on the task being undertaken with the syringe assembly.

Injection Device with Ergonomic Housing Form Factor

An injection device comprises a housing having a proximal end, a distal end and a longitudinal axis extending therebetween. The housing has a hand grip portion with a non-rotationally symmetric cross section about the longitudinal axis of the device at the proximal end of the housing.
