The side wall portion includes a fitting portion configured to be fitted to the proximal end portion of the tubular body, and an airflow portion configured to allow a sterilization gas to flow to an outer surface of the tubular body covered by the side wall portion.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR COLLECTING INJECTION INFORMATION
A system for injection includes a syringe body having proximal and distal ends, a syringe interior, and a syringe flange at the proximal end thereof. The system also includes a stopper member disposed in the syringe interior. The system further includes a plunger member coupled to the stopper member and configured to be manipulated to insert the stopper member distally in the syringe interior relative to the syringe body. Moreover, the system includes a needle coupled to the syringe body at the distal end thereof. In addition, the system includes a smart flange removably coupled to the syringe body. The smart flange includes a mounting sensor to measure mounting data. The smart flange also includes a processor to analyze the mounting data to determine the presence and the type of the syringe body disposed in the smart flange.
THERMOFORMED MEDICAL SYRINGE
A syringe with a tube having an open proximal end and a sealed, truncated, distal end fluidly communicating via a stepped lumen. The syringe has a distal intravenous cannula; and a shaft supporting a distal, fluid sealing disc and a finger pad at opposite ends moveably disposed within said tube. The syringe features a syringe body which is economically thermoformed from an extruded tube.
AUTOMATIC INJECTION DEVICES HAVING OVERMOLDED GRIPPING SURFACES
Exemplary embodiments provide automatic injection devices, housing components for automatic injection devices and methods for fabricating the same. An exemplary housing of an automatic injection device may be overmolded with one or more gripping surfaces to facilitate gripping and manipulation of the automatic injection device by a user when performing an injection. In an exemplary embodiment, an overmolded left gripping surface may extend along a left side of the housing and an overmolded right gripping surface may extend along a right side of the housing opposite to the left side.
PRE-FILLED CONTAINER, METHOD OF USE AND RELATED PRODUCTION METHOD
This invention relates to a container (1) which is pre-filled or pre-fillable with one or more substances, such as a medical liquid and similar, comprising a squeezable activation compartment (2) intended to contain said one or more substances, a dispensing compartment (3) including a first portion (31) equipped with at least one dispensing member (311, 312, 314) of said one or more substances, and a second portion (32), wherein said second portion (32) of said dispensing compartment (3) and said activation compartment (2) are fluid-dynamically connected, and an activator element (4) arranged inside said container (1).
This invention also relates to a method for dispensing at least one substance by means of a container (1), and to a production method of a container (1).
Pre-Filled Syringe System and Method
This disclosure relates to pre-filled syringes and their methods for use and injection. The embodiments provide a pre-filled syringe system for controlled depth of injection in a subject, including a pre-filled syringe having a needle tip and a plunger for injecting the contents of the pre-filled syringe; a housing for holding the pre-filled syringe and needle tip in a defined position for a depth of injection; and a needle shield mounted on the housing for releasable movement from a locked injection position to a shield position, wherein after the needle shield is moved into the locked injection position with the needle tip extended out of the needle shield and pre-filled syringe system, the needle can be inserted into the subject at a defined depth of injection. The embodiments further provide methods of injecting a subject using a pre-filled syringe system, including providing a pre-filled syringe system having a housing, a needle shield mounted on the housing, and a pre-filled syringe with a needle tip; moving the needle shield mounted on the housing into a locked injection position to extend the needle lip of the pre-filled syringe and system at a defined length out of the needle shield and prc-filled syringe system; inserting the needle tip of the pre-filled syringe and system into a subject at a defined injection depth, and injecting the contents of the pre-filled syringe and system into the subject.
SYRINGE
The invention provides a syringe for use in an ophthalmic injection. The syringe comprises a body, a stopper and a plunger. The body comprises an outlet at an outlet end and the stopper is arranged within the body such that a front surface of the stopper and the body define a variable volume chamber from which a fluid can be expelled though the outlet. The plunger comprises a plunger contact surface at a first end and a rod extends between the plunger contact surface and a rear portion. The plunger contact surface is arranged to contact the stopper but not couple thereto, such that the plunger can be used to force the stopper towards the outlet end of the body, reducing the volume of the variable volume chamber, but not to move the stopper away from the outlet end.
SYRINGE PLUNGER ADAPTER
A syringe plunger adapter can facilitate the aspiration of a syringe. The syringe plunger adapter includes a loop portion that is configured to be worn on the thumb and an adapter portion that is configured to be selectively secured to the plunger flange of a syringe's plunger. With the adapter portion secured to the plunger flange, a clinician, whose thumb is inserted into the loop portion, can aspirate the syringe by simply pulling the thumb away from the syringe.
SAFETY NEEDLES AND METHODS OF USE THEREOF
A needle protection assembly, adapted to protect a tip of a hypodermic needle, comprising a shield adapted, in a protected operative orientation of the needle protection assembly, to shield the tip of the hypodermic needle, a locking element including at least one slot, the slot including at least three surfaces corresponding to three operative orientations of the shield, at least one slot engaging element, functionally associated with the shield, the slot engaging element being disposed within the slot of the locking element and movable relative thereto, between the surfaces, so as to transition the shield between the three operative orientations, and at least one biasing element, adapted for axial biasing of the shield, wherein the three operative orientations include a storage operative orientation, an injection operative orientation, and a needle protection operative orientation.
SYRINGE AND SYRINGE BODY
The invention relates to a syringe body having a nozzle and a threaded connection. The syringe body consists of an inner part and an outer part, the inner part comprising, at least in regions, a cycloolefin, in particular a cycloolefin copolymer or a cycloolefin polymer, as a first material. The first material forms an inner wall of the syringe body. The threaded connection of the outer part comprises, at least in regions, a material different from the cycloolefin as a second material. The invention further relates to a syringe having the syringe body.
