Electronic auto-injection device

An electronic automatic injection device including a housing configured to receive an injection module containing a material to be injected, an electric motor having a rotary drive output, at least one forward driving spring and a multifunctional electric motor driven drive assembly responsive to the rotary drive output of the electric motor and being operative in a first mode of operation, when the injection module includes a prefilled syringe, to enable the at least one forward driving spring to displace the prefilled syringe in a forward direction and in a second mode of operation, when the injection module includes a needleless cartridge, to eject the injectable liquid from the prefilled syringe through a needle.

Injection device with sealed luer fitting

The invention relates to an injection device with a luer fitting. The injection device has a compressible syringe body defining a reservoir. A male luer fitting has a channel therethrough for conducting contents of the reservoir, and a luer tip at an end of said male luer fitting opposing said base end. A first connecting structure is arranged on said male luer fitting between said base end and said luer tip. A shield cap is arranged on the male luer fitting. The shield cap has a second connecting structure interacting with said first connecting structure to prevent inadvertent movement of said shield cap relative to said male luer fitting when said shield cap is arranged at said first position. A first seal is provided for sealing said channel at said luer tip and a second seal is provided for sealing the outer surface and the luer tip.

OVAL PLUNGER PISTON WITHO-RING PRESSURE EQUALIZING CHANNELS FOR IMPROVED LEAK PERFORMANCE

Disclosed is a plunger piston for use in a syringe and especially in a micro-dosing syringe pump application. The plunger piston comprises a front face opposite a rear face and at least one annular groove positioned between the front face and the rear face. The plunger piston includes a plurality of channels extending from the front face into the groove, the channels providing communication between the front face and the groove. An O-ring is received in the groove and the channels serve to equalize pressures around a first side of the O-ring to improve sealing performance and micro-dosing accuracy of a syringe or a micro-dosing syringe pump utilizing the plunger piston.

Autoinjector

An autoinjector includes a case configured to receive a syringe, a slidable member that is movable axially within the case to cause at least a portion of the syringe to move axially when the syringe is disposed within the case for dispensing a medicament through a needle of the syringe, a locking member configured to prevent actuation of the slidable member when the autoinjector is in a pre-dispense configuration, a sleeve coupled to a distal end of the case and surrounding at least a portion of a needle of the syringe when the syringe is disposed within the case, an elongate member extending proximally from the sleeve and configured to deflect the locking member to allow actuation of the plunger, and two drive springs coupled to the slidable member and configured to apply a biasing force that acts on the slidable member to move the slidable member distally.

Autoinjector
