Device For Injecting A Liquid Product Having Simplified Assembly
A part of a device for injecting a liquid product having an end sleeve and a syringe support which is able to move with respect to the end sleeve. The syringe support is designed to bear an injection syringe fitted with a removable protective cap. A deformable ring is kinematically connected to the syringe support. This ring can be deformed elastically between a configuration which is designed to axially immobilize the injection syringe in the syringe support, and a configuration designed to allow the protective cap to pass through the deformable ring.
ELECTRONIC MODULE FOR MONITORING INJECTION DEVICES
The invention is concerned with a simple and reliable manner of monitoring a handling or use of injection devices by means of a reusable electronic module. According to the invention, a displacement of a component of the injection device between an initial position and an intermediate position, and a subsequent displacement of the same component between the intermediate position and a final position essentially identical with the initial position is observed by one and the same sensor comprised in an electronic module separate from the injection device. A status or state of the injection device is then inferred in the electronic module from these two observations by way of digitally processing sensor output information. The invention thus enables secure, easy and cost-effective operation of components, devices and systems for the generation, collection and distribution of data associated with the handling or use of the injection devices.
SYRINGE WITH TANDEM DUAL CHAMBERS
A dual chamber syringe facilitates selective drug mixing, dosing, and administration through catheters or other vascular accessing devices (VADs), as well as pre- or post-administration flushing of catheters with a single syringe instrument. A syringe barrel incorporates an outlet, such as a Luer connector, variable-volume, axially tandem primary and secondary fluid chambers, with nested respective plungers, plunger rods capable of selective translation within the barrel interior along a common axis, and plunger stoppers. The secondary fluid chamber is incorporated within the primary plunger. A selectively resealable valve disposed within the barrel interior, selectively isolates the secondary fluid chamber from fluid communication with the primary fluid chamber and/or the outlet of the syringe barrel. In some embodiments, the valve is a duckbill-type valve or an umbrella valve. In some embodiments, the syringe is prepackaged with flushing solution in the secondary fluid chamber.
Medicament delivery device
A metered droplet medicament delivery device for delivering metered doses of medicament includes a proximal part and a distal part having opposite distal and proximal ends; a medicament container with a movable stopper; and a dose delivery mechanism that includes a plunger rod, operably arranged to act on the stopper. The proximal and distal parts are releasably connectable to each other. The proximal part includes a medicament container holder accommodating the medicament container, and the distal part includes the dose delivery mechanism. A plunger rod positioning member is engageable with a proximal end of the plunger rod and with a proximal area of the distal part for positioning the plunger rod in a longitudinal direction in relation to the proximal area.
Single dose drug delivery device
A wearable drug delivery device that can deliver a liquid drug stored in a container to a patient is provided. The container can be a prefilled cartridge that can be loaded into the drug delivery device by the patient or that can be preloaded within the drug delivery device when provided to the patient. A sealed end of the container is pierced to couple the stored liquid drug to a needle conduit that is coupled to a needle insertion component that provides access to the patient. A drive system of the drug delivery device can expel the liquid drug from the cartridge to the patient through the needle conduit. The drive system can be controlled to provide the liquid drug to the patient in a single dose or over multiple doses.
Needle assembly and drug injection device
A needle assembly includes: a retaining portion; and an elastic member that includes a close contact portion that closely contacts and retains the needle tube such that the needle tube protrudes toward a fitting opening, and a deformation portion that extends from the close contact portion toward the fitting opening and is configured to deform when the drug ejection portion comes into contact with the elastic member, and which is provided in a fitting portion. Further, the length of the deformation portion is in a range of 35% or more and 50% or less with respect to the length of the elastic member, and the length of a portion of the needle tube which protrudes from the close contact portion toward the fitting portion is in a range of 45% or more and 245% or less with respect to the deformation portion.
Power pack lock
A medicament delivery device includes a proximal sub-assembly and a distal sub-assembly configured to be connected to each other. The proximal sub-assembly includes a key member, and the distal sub-assembly includes a power pack unit having a lock mechanism for locking the power pack unit such that unintentional activation of the power pack unit during transportation is avoided. The key member is configured to interact with the lock mechanism during assembling of the proximal and distal sub-assemblies such that the lock mechanism is released.
Intravenous therapy tubing connection system
A swiveling intravenous therapy tubing connection system for easy rotational adjustment of an intravenous tubing line between a sterile container and a catheter used to administer a fluid to a patient features the sterile container which is a sterile intravenous fluid container and the catheter which is an intravenous therapy catheter located in the patient. The system features a length of intravenous therapy tubing having a female quick-connect swivel tubing connector located on a tubing first end and a quick-connect double swivel tubing connector located on a tubing second end. The female quick-connect swivel tubing connector is rotationally connected to a first mated male swivel tubing connector located on an intravenous fluid outlet of the intravenous fluid container. The quick-connect double swivel tubing connector is rotationally connected to a second mated male swivel tubing connector located on an intravenous fluid inlet of the catheter. The length of intravenous therapy tubing is designed to be infinitely rotatable in either direction.
Reusable syringe assembly including retractable protective shielding frame
The present invention involves a sterilizable syringe allows for reduction in needlestick injuries using conventional sterile needles. The syringe allows for direct access to and the safe removal and disposal of needles. The device consists of a sterilizable, reusable hypodermic syringe to which a disposable needle is attached, and employs carpules containing injectable medication, viewable and either manually or automatically aspirating. Some embodiments have a protective sliding mechanism consisting of an open frame bearing one or more protective collars, one at the furthermost end of the frame and an optional second one at a more proximal position. The protective mechanism may be extended to protect an exposed needle tip and retracted during an injection. With the protective mechanism extended, the needle mounting hub is exposed to allow for its exchange or removal and safe disposal. The protective mechanism is engaged until immediately prior to the delivery of medication, disengaged on delivery, and engaged after delivery.
Coded Housing Components for an Injection Device
A coded housing of a drug delivery device includes first and second housing components, respectively including a first and second connecting ends. An insert is provided on the first or second connecting end, and a receptacle is provided on the other one of the first and second connecting ends. The insert is insertable into the receptacle for mutually fastening the first and second housing components. A fastening element is provided on the insert, a counter fastening element complementary shaped to the fastening element is provided in the receptacle, a mechanical coding is provided on the insert and includes a coding feature, and a mechanical counter coding is provided in the receptacle and includes a counter coding feature. The mechanical coding and counter coding are operable to prevent an engagement of the fastening element with the counter fastening element when the mechanical coding does not match the mechanical counter coding.
