SINGLE DOSE DRUG DELIVERY DEVICE
A wearable drug delivery device that can deliver a liquid drug stored in a container to a patient is provided. The container can be a prefilled cartridge that can be loaded into the drug delivery device by the patient or that can be preloaded within the drug delivery device when provided to the patient. A sealed end of the container is pierced to couple the stored liquid drug to a needle conduit that is coupled to a needle insertion component that provides access to the patient. A drive system of the drug delivery device can expel the liquid drug from the cartridge to the patient through the needle conduit. The drive system can be controlled to provide the liquid drug to the patient in a single dose or over multiple doses.
SYSTEMS, KITS AND METHODS FOR LOADING AND DELIVERING A SMALL VOLUME DOSE FROM A SYRINGE
A kit is disclosed for accurately loading a small volume dose of a medication within a syringe and for delivering the small volume dose of the medication at a treatment site. The kit generally includes a loading and delivery system in accordance herewith, a syringe, and a medication. The loading and delivery system includes a syringe delivery ring and a syringe loading guide, which may be used for example, to administer a small volume dose of a medication at the end of an ocular surgery.
AUTO INJECTOR WITH BI-STABLE CLUTCH PLATE
Disclosed herein is an auto injector with a bi-stable clutch plate.
GRIP FOR MOUNTING A CYSTOTOME TO A SYRINGE, AN ASSEMBLY THEREOF, AND A METHOD RELATED THERETO
In one aspect of the subject invention, a grip is provided for mounting to a syringe, the grip including: an elongated body extending along a longitudinal axis between first and second ends, the first end defining a female luer fitting configured for mounting onto the syringe, an inlet opening being defined in the female luer fitting, the second end defining a male luer fitting defining an outlet opening, and, a liquid passageway defined through the body between the inlet opening and the outlet opening to allow liquid flow therebetween. The body further defines an outer surface encircling the longitudinal axis, the outer surface being at least partially textured. Advantageously, with the subject invention, a grip is provided which is configured to both mount to a syringe and to mountingly receive a cystotome, in providing an enhanced gripping surface for a practitioner performing a capsulotomy.
DRUG DELIVERY DEVICE WITH SMART GRIP
A drug delivery device includes an injector and an accessory grip. The injector includes an injector housing defining a housing body having a proximal end, a distal end, and a longitudinal axis extending therebetween, a needle assembly at least partially disposed within the injector housing at the proximal end, and a drive assembly at least partially disposed within the housing. The needle assembly includes a syringe barrel containing a medicament and a needle or a cannula. The drive assembly urges the medicament through the needle or cannula. The accessory grip defines a grip shell having proximal and distal ends, and a body extending therebetween. The proximal end includes a first opening dimensioned to receive a first portion of the injector housing, and the distal end of the grip shell includes a second opening that receives a second opening dimensioned to receive a second portion of the injector housing.
Low Cost Syringe with Durable and Disposable Components
Insulin injection syringes are disclosed that include two types of components, namely, durable components that that do not contact the fluid path and can be reused, and disposable or single-use components that contact the fluid path and are not reused. The durable components do not contact the fluid path so that sterility is not affected. Two different syringe components include a reusable outer sleeve containing scale markings for the syringe and a reusable syringe plunger are provided as durable components in embodiments of the present invention. Syringes manufactured according to the present invention can employ one or both of these durable components. Methods for making, using and packaging such syringes are also disclosed.
Drive subassembly for a drug delivery device
The present disclosure relates to a drive subassembly for a drug delivery device, the drive subassembly comprising a proximal housing part comprising a body portion and a closure portion configured as separate parts adapted to be coupled to each other, the closure portion comprising an end face and a guide rod extending from the end face in a distal direction, the guide rod adapted to be inserted into a drive spring; and a plunger, wherein the body portion comprises a profiled slot adapted to engage a plunger boss of the plunger to impede movement of the plunger in the distal direction unless the plunger is rotated to move the plunger boss out of the profiled slot. The disclosure furthermore relates to a proximal housing part for a drug delivery device, to a method for assembling the drive subassembly and to a method for assembling the drug delivery device.
DEVICE FOR THE DOSED ADMINISTRATION OF A FLUID PRODUCT, ADAPTED FOR THE REPLACEMENT OF A CONTAINER
A device for administering a fluid product includes a first housing part with a receiver for the product, a second housing part detachably connectable to the first housing part, a piston rod held such that it can be displaced for the exertion of an emptying movement, an actuatable or releasable drive element for the piston rod, a coupling element including a coupling input element that couples the drive element to the piston rod in a coupling engagement, transmits a driving force of the drive element to the piston rod, and triggers the emptying movement, and a decoupling element displaceably connected to the second housing part and coupled to the first housing part such that it is displaced, by a movement of the housing parts in relation to each other when the housing parts are separated into a decoupling position wherein the piston rod is decoupled from the coupling input element.
Transport lock assembly, and a medicament delivery device comprising the transport lock assembly
A transport lock assembly for a medicament delivery device, wherein the transport lock assembly comprises a powerpack (30) having a locking member (50, 50′, 50″) configured to interact with a control member (60), which locking member (50, 50′, 50″) is movable, relative to the control member (60), from a first state in which the control member (60) is immobilized, to a second state in which the control member (60) is free to move; wherein the transport lock assembly further comprises a housing part (20) having a key member (22), such that assembly of the powerpack (30) with the housing part (20) causes the key member (22) to move the locking member (50, 50′, 50″) from the first state to the second state.
