Hub for coupling a cannula with a transfer device
A cannula hub includes a shaft mount segment and a cannula coupling segment. A set of coupling nubbins radially extend from the outer surface of the cannula coupling segment. The coupling nubbins are aligned with one another along a helical cannula coupling pathway on the outer surface and are adapted to be received within a cooperative helical groove on a transfer vessel. The coupling nubbins have a protrusion projection distance that is greater than the depth of the groove. When a sufficient rotational force is applied to the cannula hub, the coupling nubbins score the inside face of the groove which increases the groove depth and enables the coupling nubbins to advance along the groove while forming a tight compression fit of the coupling nubbins within the groove.
PHARMACEUTICAL CONTAINER AND LIQUID COMPOSITION
A pharmaceutical container for drug delivery includes a barrel configured to slidably receive a stopper, the stopper having a proximal end suitable for contacting a plunger rod and a distal end suitable for contacting a pharmaceutical composition, the stopper having a circumferential surface partially contacting an inner surface of the barrel, a surface roughness of the inner surface of the barrel declines from the stopper's start position to its end position by at least 3% of at least one of Ra roughness or Rms roughness, the inner surface of the barrel having a surface roughness Ra of less than 100 nm.
System and method for controlling a self-injector device
A cartridge-based computer controlled self-injection device automatically regulates time and dosage administered to a patient. Cartridges can be electronically tagged so the injection device can determine the content, volume, expiration date, and physician prescribed dosage timetable. Authentication verifies the device and ensures the proper patient is using the device with the appropriate therapeutic injectant. Authentication further provides information controlling device operation including expiration dates and clock synchronization. Therapeutic injectant administration statistics, such as date and time of administration of a therapeutic injectant are stored and provide to a health care provider for monitoring. Patients can be notified of nearing or missed administrations.
INJECTION GADGET
Disclosed is an injection gadget corresponding to an end-effector such as a rescue robot or the like. The injection gadget is configured such that an injection needle is disposed inside an injection assembly, an injection liquid is provided between a cylinder and a piston of the injection assembly, and the piston is moved by an elastic force of a spring previously compressed inside the cylinder so that the injection needle protrudes to the outside of the injection assembly and the injection liquid is ejected, and includes a bracket that replaceably mounts the injection assembly, a main body that is connected to the bracket and includes a first body space portion of which one side surface facing the bracket and the other side surface are open to pass through each other and a second body space portion that is disposed next to the first body space portion, a controller that is mounted in the second body space portion, a linear actuator that moves a transfer shaft in accordance with a control signal of the controller, and a pusher that is disposed between the linear actuator and the injection assembly, and transmits a force of the linear actuator toward the injection assembly so that a locking pin of the bracket is deviated from locking guides of the piston of the injection assembly.
Medicament training device with plunger limiting mechanism
Embodiments including an injection device having a housing with an outer surface, an inner surface, a proximal end and a distal end, and a defining a chamber extending between the proximal end and the distal end are provided herein. The device may include a plunger having a first end and a second end, the plunger being movable proximally and distally within the chamber of the housing, the plunger comprising a plunger rod extending from the first end to the second end of the plunger; and a plunger limiting mechanism configured to interface with the plunger rod, to limit the proximal movement of the plunger and prevent removal of the plunger from the housing.
An Injection Device Adapted to Detect Air in a Cartridge
A drug delivery device (100) for estimating the amount of free air in a cartridge (1) comprising a cartridge receiving portion (not shown) adapted to receive a cartridge (1), the cartridge (1) comprising a body portion (6), an axially displaceable piston (5), and a distal outlet portion (4), an expelling assembly comprising an axially displaceable piston drive member (10) adapted to interface with the proximal piston (5) portion of a received cartridge (1), the piston drive member (10) is adapted to be moveable in a distal direction, and to thereby pressurize the drug in a received cartridge. The drug delivery device further comprises means for measuring and acquiring a property relating to a fluid pres-sure of the drug in a received cartridge (1), and where the property depends on the amount of free air (7) contained in the cartridge (1). The drug delivery device further comprises means (20) for measuring and acquiring the position of the piston rod drive member (10), and means (40) for measuring and acquiring the time. The drug delivery device further comprises means (30) for storing, and means (31) for processing the acquired measurements. The processing means are configured for estimating the amount of air (7) in the cartridge (1).
DRUG DELIVERY DEVICE
Disclosed herein is a syringe device comprises (a) an outer housing, (b) a barrel, (c) a stopper, and (d) a plunger with one or more grooves.
Devices, systems and methods for medicament delivery
Apparatuses for automatic medicament injection and methods for manufacturing automatic medicament injectors are described herein. In some embodiments, an apparatus includes a housing, a needle, an energy storage member, an actuator, a locking member, and a needle guard. The needle is configured to move between a first position and a second position. In its first position, the needle is contained within the housing. In its second position, at least a portion of the needle extends from the housing. The energy storage member has a first configuration and a second configuration and is configured to produce a force when moving between its first configuration and its second configuration to move the needle from its first position to its second position. The actuator is configured to move the energy storage member from its first configuration to its second configuration. The locking member is movably coupled to the distal end portion of the housing such that the locking member can be moved between a first position and a second position. In its first position, the locking member is configured to engage the actuator to prevent the actuator from moving the energy storage member to the second configuration. The needle guard is removably coupled to at least one of the distal end portion of the housing or a base movably coupled to the distal end portion of the housing.
SYSTEM FOR ENHANCING DATA QUALITY OF DISPENSE DATA SETS
A method for enhancing data quality of a drug dose dispense data set to automatically provide dispense data reflecting actually injected dose amounts. For a given dispense session the method comprises the steps of creating a list of possible dispense patterns in accordance with a set of pattern rules and then for each pattern in the list calculate a weight allowing a winning pattern to be determined. Each dispense pattern is a particular sequence of priming events and injection events, with each dispense pattern being a possible interpretation of the dispense events in the current session. For each pattern a combined pattern weight being the product of weight factors for each dispense in the pattern is calculated, wherein each weight factor is determined in accordance with a weight factor vs dispense size function for the given dispense type and dispense size, wherein the larger the dispense size, the more likely it is to represent an injection event and the less likely it is to represent a priming event.
