DRUG DELIVERY DEVICE
The present disclosure relates to a drug delivery device. The drug delivery device includes a housing having a proximal end and a distal end. Additionally, a needle guard disposed at the proximal end of the housing and movable in an axial direction relative the housing between a first position and a second position. A storage container, disposed within the housing for storing a drug, includes a needle for administering the drug. The drug delivery device also includes an injection activation button disposed on the distal end of the housing and including a fingerprint detector. Additionally, the present disclosure includes a lock configured to switch between a locked configuration inhibiting actuation of the drug delivery device and an unlocked configuration enabling actuation of the delivery device. The lock is in the unlocked configuration when the needle guard is in the second position and the fingerprint detector detects a fingerprint.
Hazardous agent injection system
Injection systems comprising a powered injector and one or more hazardous agents are disclosed.
Needle assembly
A needle assembly is disclosed, for use with an injection device. The needle assembly comprises a needle hub (20) having a needle (22) and a needle shield (40) arranged for relative axial movement with respect to the needle hub, between a retracted position in which the tip of the needle projects beyond a forward end of the shield and an extended position in which the tip of the needle does not project beyond the forward end of the shield. The needle shield (40) is axially biased towards the extended position. The needle shield (40) is further arranged to be torsionally biased for relative rotational movement with respect to the needle hub (20).
Needle shield remover and a medicament delivery device comprising the needle shield remover
A needle shield remover for a medicament delivery device is presented that has a metal tubular body, a proximal part, a distal part, and a substantially circular cross-section, where the tubular body is arranged with a slot extending from a distal end of the body, at least half the length of the body, towards a proximal end, such that at least the distal part of the body may flex radially outwards to exert a radially inwardly directed clamping force on a needle shield accommodated by the body.
Liquid medicine administration device and gasket biasing member assembly
A liquid medicine administration device includes a prefilled syringe and a gasket biasing member assembly. The biasing member assembly includes: a gasket pressing member configured to press a gasket; a flange attachment member attached to the prefilled syringe; a biasing member housed between the pressing member and the flange attachment member; and an operating member including an engagement holding portion. The pressing member includes an engagement portion to be engaged with the flange attachment member. When the engagement holding portion is located at an abutment position, deformation of a deformable portion is inhibited by abutment between the engagement holding portion and an abutment portion of a deformable portion, and engagement between the engagement portion and the attachment member body portion is held.
METHOD OF SEALING A SYRINGE BARREL
Disclosed is a method of sealing a syringe barrel having a syringe tip with a collar. The syringe tip is sealed with a resilient closure. A tamper evident syringe tip cap comprising a cap member and a sleeve member separated by an annular first breaking line is then pushed over the resilient closure, to couple the proximal end of the sleeve member with the collar. The distal end of the resilient closure is accommodated in the cap member and protrudes beyond the sleeve member. The first breaking line is bridged by a coupling strip. For use of the syringe and providing access to the closure, the first breaking line is broken by pivoting the cap member away. The sleeve member remains coupled to the collar. Further tearing the cap member downward causes breaking a second breaking line provided in the sleeve member, thereby enabling removing the entire syringe tip cap.
MEDICATION DELIVERY DEVICE WITH NEEDLE CARRIER
Drug delivery devices are provided having a needle assembly portion and a drug device portion, where the needle assembly portion is removably coupleable to the drug device portion. In some embodiments, the needle of the needle assembly may be moveable from a retracted position to an extended position for piercing into a subjects skin. In some embodiments, the needle may also be moveable back to a retracted position.
SYRINGE SET, SYRINGE, AND SET
A syringe set, a syringe and a set include a first syringe having a first connection port and a drug container having a second connection port. The first connection port includes an injection needle attachment structure to which an injection needle is attachable, and a blocking member that is disposed in the injection needle attachment structure and blocks attachment of the injection needle. When the second connection port is connected to the first connection port, the blocking member is connected to the second connection port side, and when the second connection port is detached, the blocking member is detached from the first connection port so as to allow the injection needle to be attached to the first connection port.
DUAL-CHAMBER DELIVERY DEVICE
A drug delivery device configured to provide a dose of a first medicament followed by a dose of a second medicament is disclosed. The device includes a main exterior body and an interior body. The device further includes a dual-chamber reservoir with (i) a first chamber holding the first medicament and (ii) a second chamber holding the second medicament. The device also includes a needle and a plunger. After activation of the device, the plunger is configured to (i) move the dual-chamber reservoir a given distance in a distal direction with respect to the interior body so that a distal end of the needle extends out of the interior body and (ii) after moving the dual-chamber reservoir the given distance, move in the distal direction with respect to the dual-chamber reservoir so as to eject from the needle the first medicament followed by the second medicament.
DEVICES AND METHODS FOR ASSISTING A USER OF A DRUG DELIVERY DEVICE
Devices and methods are disclosed for assisting a user of a drug delivery device with an application executing on a mobile computing device. The mobile computing device may receive information from the drug delivery device related to its condition and/or operation and subsequently select an informational and/or instructional prompt to be displayed to the user based on the received information. The mobile computing device may also generate a display in the application including the selected informational prompt and/or the instructional prompt. Accordingly, the user of the drug delivery device can be guided through the drug delivery process in real time, thereby reducing the likelihood of improper or incomplete use of the drug delivery device.
