DEVICE FOR ROTATING AN OBJECT

Stabbing accidents are prone to occur to people handling needles, for example when recapping a needle or when trying to remove a needle from a syringe. A device is provided for safe and automatic removal of a needle from a syringe aimed to prevent stabbing accidents. The device is arranged to grab hold of and rotate the needle of a syringe. The needle, after being rotate off the syringe is discarded into the device by releasing the grip on the needle. The device rotates two rotating gears relative to each other to move grippers towards the needle, and rotates the two gears together to rotate the needle relative to the syringe which may be held by the user.

INTERFACE OF NEEDLE OF MEDICAL SYRINGE

An interface of the needle of a medical syringe and realizes that a conical fitting and a conical inclined surface of a syringe barrel and a conical lip and a conical hole of the needle form an interface of the needle; when the conical hole of the needle is plugged onto the conical fitting of the syringe barrel, the needle is fixed onto the conical fitting of the syringe barrel to achieve the purpose of preventing a needle tip from swinging when the needle pierces a muscle or a blood vessel of a human body, so as to avoid misoperation; and after the medical syringe is used, the conical lip of the needle distal away from the needle tip only needs to be pinched flat, the needle can then be separated from the conical fitting of the syringe barrel of the medical syringe.

A needle retention and disposal device including a cup having an interior compartment for receiving and retaining used needles and a skirt having a bottom open end. The cup is positioned inside the skirt and is springedly attached to the skirt. Two doors are rotatably attached to the interior compartment of the cup and are moveable between an open position and a closed position. The bottom open end of the skirt receives the neck of a sharps container such that the neck of the sharps container contacts the bottom surface of the cup. The doors are moveable from the closed position to the open position to release the used needles when the skirt is pushed down over the neck of the sharps container.

Injection device and methods related thereto

Disclosed herein is an injection device with housing that defines a channel and a first injection guide opening. The first injection guide opening enters the channel in a manner that allows a needle to penetrate a vessel in an animal with accuracy and at the same time protect the user from the needle.

SYRINGE DESTRUCTION
20210187206 · 2021-06-24 ·

An apparatus for destroying syringes-needle assemblies is disclosed, the invention comprising a cradle for holding the syringe and a hub grip for gripping the hub of a needle affixed to the syringe. The apparatus comprises means for destroying the needle for example, by passing a current through it to soften/melt it, whilst at the same time, applying an axial compressive force to blunt and compress the needle. The hub grip is moveable relative to the cradle so that the needle can be pulled, unscrewed or otherwise detached from the syringe. The apparatus is preferably automated, and thus enables the destroyed needle and syringe to be separated, and therefore disposed of in separate waste streams without manual intervention.

PEN NEEDLE ASSEMBLY APPARATUS

A pen needle assembly apparatus includes a tray (34), a movable clamping assembly (36) for gripping a pen needle assembly (18), and an actuator assembly (38). The tray (34) has a top end (42), a bottom end (40), and an inner cavity for storing used pen needle assemblies. The clamping assembly (36) in one embodiment includes at least one movable clamping member (48) that is movable between a first position where the clamping member engage and grip the outer cover (22) of the pen needle assembly (18) so that the needle hub (16) can be separated from the outer cover (22) and placed back in the outer cover (22) after use of the pen needle. The actuator assembly (38) is connected to the movable clamping member (48) where movement of the actuator releases the movable clamping member to move to the open positon and release the outer cover of the pen needle assembly. The base (32) of the apparatus can include an opening for engaging the inner shield (24) of the pen needle assembly to assist in removing the inner shield (24) from the needle hub (16).

Syringe assembly

A syringe assembly includes a plunger assembly, a syringe body, and a needle. The plunger assembly includes a plunger rod, a spring, a plunger base, and a plunger plug. The plunger rod includes a first end member having a first stepped part positioned in an inner wall thereof, a second end member, and a first accommodating room. The plunger base includes a plunger body, a projection, a second stepped part, a plunger member, and a locating member. The plunger body is received in the first accommodating room, and the projection abuts against the first end member. The spring is arranged around the plunger body and positioned between the first stepped part and the second stepped part. The plunger plug is mounted to the second end member, and defines a fixing groove. The syringe body includes a needle cannula, a needle base, a fixing pole, and a fixing valve. The plunger assembly is received in the needle cannula. The needle base is mounted to the needle cannula. The fixing valve is received in the needle base. The fixing pole is received in the fixing valve and protrudes out of the needle base. The needle is received in the fixing pole. The syringe assembly of the present invention is prevented from reuse and accidently damage because the needle can retract into the plunger rod using restoring force of the spring.

Waste Disposal System And Waste Receiver For Receiving And Disposing Of Pharmaceutical Waste Material

A waste disposal system with a waste receiver for receiving pharmaceutical waste material. A locking assembly is secured to a fixed surface and actuated from a locked configuration to an unlocked configuration. A lock cylinder of the locking assembly may extend forward of a front wall of a receiver body of the waste receiver to engage a locking feature of the cover in the locked configuration. A cover retention feature may prevent axial decoupling of the cover from the receiver body. An engagement feature is moved to be disengaged from the receiver body, and the receiver body is moved away from the fixed surface to disengage the locking assembly from the cover. The cover is decoupled from the cover retention feature, and coupled with the receiver body to seal the pharmaceutical waste material. The locking assembly may be removed from a lock passageway for disposal of the waste receiver.
