A medical injection device, including: a medication container having a mov-able piston; a push rod assembly displaceably disposed in the medical injection device, the push rod assembly having a plurality of spaced-apart position setting means disposed along the length thereof, the push rod assembly selectively displacing the movable piston to dispense medicament from the medication container; a spring to bias the push rod assembly to move toward the distal end of the medical injection device; a releasable restraining means configured to releasably restrain the push rod assembly in a locked state against the biasing of the spring, wherein, upon release of the releasable restraining means, the push rod assembly moves under force of the spring toward the distal end of the medical injection device; and an arming means configured to move the push rod assembly toward the proximal end of the medical injection device.

Automated vessel puncture device using three-dimensional(3D) near infrared (NIR) imaging and a robotically driven needle

The present invention is directed to an automated vessel puncture device, methods of mapping three-dimensional views of subcutaneous vessels and methods for providing simultaneous real-time diagnostic assay.

Methods and apparatus for lancet actuation

A lancet driver is provided wherein the driver exerts a driving force on a lancet during a lancing cycle and is used on a tissue site. The driver comprises of a drive force generator for advancing the lancet along a path into the tissue site, and a manual switch for a user interface input.

DEVICES AND METHODS FOR DELIVERING OPIOID ANTAGONISTS INCLUDING FORMULATIONS FOR NALOXONE

An apparatus includes a container, a needle, and an actuation assembly. The container contains a dose of a naloxone composition having a delivered volume of at least about 0.34 mL. The actuation assembly includes an energy storage member that produces a force on a movable member to move the needle and to deliver the dose of the naloxone composition. The 90% confidence interval of at least one of the relative mean maximum naloxone plasma concentration after dose delivery into the body (C.sub.max), time to reach the maximum naloxone plasma concentration (T.sub.max), area under the plasma concentration-time curve from pre-dose (time 0) extrapolated to infinity (AUC.sub.0-∞), or area under the plasma concentration-time curve from pre-dose (time 0) to the time of the last quantifiable concentration (T.sub.last) (AUC.sub.0-t) of the delivered dose to a delivered dose of a corresponding naloxone composition delivered via a manually-actuated syringe is within 80% to 125%.

AID FOR SUBCUTANEOUS TISSUE INJECTION AND PROCESS OF EFFECTING THE INJECTION WITH THE AID
20170232209 · 2017-08-17 ·

The present disclosure is concerned with a device for facilitating a subcutaneous injection and a process for administering the subcutaneous injection. The device has a peripheral frame and an injection needle or an aperture in a central portion of the frame adapted to hold an injection needle. The peripheral frame has an arm or arms adapted to contact the skin at points distant enough from each other to allow the arms or arm to penetrate into the skin a distance greater than the thickness of the skin, a central portion which joins the arms above the terminal portions or portion and an injection needle affixed to the central portion, facing in the same direction as the penetration ends of the arms or an aperture in the central portion adapted to hold an injection needle facing in the same direction as the penetration ends of the arms.

Venipuncture Assist Device
20170231541 · 2017-08-17 ·

A venipuncture assist device includes a main body having a first surface configured to confront a target venipuncture site. The device further includes a vein capture channel disposed within the first surface configured to urge a portion of a patient's tissue and subcutaneous vein therein when the vein capture channel is evacuated by vacuum, wherein the urging creates a bend in the vein for piercing by a venipuncture needle. The device further includes one or more needle channels extending from a front main body surface configured to receive and guide the needle into the bend in the vein.

Devices, systems, and methods for medicament delivery

Certain exemplary embodiments comprise can comprise an auto-injector, which can comprise: a vial configured to store and/or contain an injectable medicament, the vial defining a vial longitudinal axis, and a housing comprising the vial. In various embodiments, the injectable medicament can be a medicine, medication, drug, pharmaceutical, prescriptive, agent, antidote, anti-venom, hormone, stimulant, vasodilator, anesthetic, and/or nutritional supplement that is substantially ready for injection.

Drug delivery device

The invention relates to a drug delivery device for setting and dispensing a dose of a drug, comprising: a support body having a first end defining a first opening and a second end defining a second opening, the support body configured to retain a syringe barrel sealed by a stopper slidably disposed therein along an axial direction and adapted to have an integrated needle or to be coupled with a needle assembly, a needle shield adapted to be coupled to one of the ends of the support body, slidably disposed thereon and keyed to the support body for preventing relative rotation, wherein at least one guiding track is defined on the support body and at least one retaining clip arranged on the needle shield is deflectable by the guiding track, wherein the guiding track is configured such that the retaining clip follows a first path when the needle shield is depressed from an extended position to a retracted position for needle extension and that the retaining clip follows a different second path when the needle shield is subsequently extended, wherein a non-return catch is arranged for catching the retaining clip at the end of the second path.

DRUG DELIVERY DEVICE

A drug delivery device includes a blunt cannula and a reservoir. The blunt cannula has a cylindrical wall that defines an axial passage between a first end and a second end of the blunt cannula. The wall has at least a first tapered region at the first end to define an opening in fluid communication with the axial passage and adapted at the first end to resist interruption of fluid flow through the axial passage and out of the first end of the blunt cannula. The reservoir is connected to the second end of the blunt cannula.
