A disposable syringe set includes a syringe barrel in which a medicinal fluid inlet is formed and a plunger is fitted and coupled to an opening at the other side; a first screw-coupling portion formed on an outer circumference of the medicinal fluid inlet; a syringe needle hub in which a syringe needle is coupled to one end and an inner side at the other end is fitted and coupled to the outer circumference of the medicinal fluid inlet; and a second screw-coupling portion formed on an inner circumference of the syringe needle hub and configured to be coupled to the first screw-coupling portion. The first screw-coupling portion is formed as a female-thread-type coupling portion whose diameter is smaller than a reference diameter of the medicinal fluid inlet. The second screw-coupling portion is formed as a male-thread-type coupling portion configured to be coupled to the female-thread-type coupling portion.

Catheter assembly

A catheter assembly includes a catheter, an inner needle, and a deflection suppression mechanism that suppresses a deflection of the inner needle. A side flow path structure having at least one liquid passage is provided on a circumferential wall of the catheter. The deflection suppression mechanism has a sliding contact support portion that can support the catheter while sliding against the catheter when the catheter is advanced with respect to the inner needle. In an initial state, the sliding contact support portion is located to be closer to a proximal side than a liquid passage located on a most distal side in the side flow path structure.

Cleansing swab for needle pen assembly
11253687 · 2022-02-22 ·

A needle cap assembly for use in combination with a needle pen comprising: (i) a needle cap having a needle cannula for injecting a fluid medication into an injection site, (ii) an internal cap configured to be disposed over an injection end of the needle cap, (iii) an external cap having a cavity configured to envelop the internal and needle caps, (iv) a sealing tab configured to seal a cavity of the external cap for enclosing or housing the needle cap assembly, and (v) a cleansing swab disposed in internally of the needle cap assembly. The cleansing swab is disposed internally of the needle cap and includes an absorptive material loaded with a cleansing fluid to clean an injection site prior to injection of fluid medication.

Delivery devices for therapeutic substances

In some embodiments, a delivery device includes a device actuator and a cannula portion through which a therapeutic substance is ejected. The cannula portion includes an outer shaft, a needle that is configured to move through the outer shaft, and a plunger that is configured to move through the needle, forming a positive displacement arrangement.

AUTOMATICALLY-LOCKING VACUUM SYRINGES, AND ASSOCIATED SYSTEMS AND METHODS

Automatically-locking syringes are disclosed herein. A syringe in accordance with embodiments of the present technology can include (i) a barrel, (ii) a plunger slidably positioned within the barrel, and (iii) a lock plate coupled to the barrel. The plunger also extends through an opening in the lock plate, and a biasing member is configured to bias the lock plate to a locking position. When the plunger is moved from a depressed position to a withdrawn position, the lock feature engages the lock plate to drive the lock plate away from the locking position to thereby permit the lock feature to pass through the opening in the lock plate. After the lock feature passes through the opening, the biasing member drives the lock plate to the locking position to inhibit movement of the plunger from the withdrawn position to the depressed position.

Advanced biopsy needle

An Advanced Biopsy Needle is disclosed that provides both fine needle aspiration and core biopsy with a single insertion, thus reducing trauma and pain to the patient. An inner needle for aspiration and an outer needle for core biopsy are in coaxial relation to each other, thus providing both histology and cytology functions with a single medical device and also with a single insertion. Lateral cutting edges along fenestration openings in the outer needle ensure that adequate tissue samples are taken. A syringe is attached to the inner needle for collection of aspirate.

RETRACTABLE NEEDLE SYRINGE

A pneumatically activated retractable-needle syringe comprising a syringe barrel, a plunger, a needle, a needle hub, a locking tip, a propellant gas release cell and a rupture mechanism is provided. The plunger is slidably disposed within and sealingly engaged with the syringe barrel, the plunger having a retraction lumen defined for receiving a needle when the retractable-needle syringe is actuated. The needle is coupled to a distal end of the syringe barrel and in fluid communication with a medicament chamber defined within the syringe barrel distally of the plunger. The needle hub is for securing the needle at the distal end of the syringe barrel, the needle hub being initially secured within a false wall against a loading force or an injection force applied by a user, and releasable from the false wall in response to a post-injection force applied by a user. The locking tip is provided at a distal end of the plunger, the locking tip being in sealing engagement with and initially secured within the retraction lumen against a loading force or an injection force applied by a user, and releasable for sliding retraction within the plunger lumen in response to release of propellant upon a post-injection force applied by a user, the locking tip being engageable with the needle hub in response to the post-injection force to provide a retraction assembly comprising the locking tip, the needle header, and the needle. The propellant release cell is positioned distally of the needle hub and contains a propellant. The rupture mechanism is positioned to puncture the propellant release cell in response to the application of the post-injection force by a user to thereby drive retraction of the retraction assembly within the retraction lumen.
