Compact medication reconstitution device and method
A container usable for lyophilization, storage, and reconstitution of medication having only two parts, one of which is a plug component having a flow path terminating in a side outlet port and a second of which is a barrel component. The barrel component has a spiral mixing channel near its distal end in which powder medication is stored and upon reconstitution, yields a gradient concentration. The inner wall of the barrel includes a longitudinal diluent groove. To connect the plug outlet port with the longitudinal diluent groove, the plug or barrel has a 360 distribution groove encircling the plug and connecting to the plug outlet port. Regardless of what rotational orientation the plug has to the barrel, the diluent will always reach the mixing channel.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR DELIVERING A POLYMERIC MATERIAL TO A TREATMENT SITE DURING A RADIO FREQUENCY ABLATION PROCEDURE
An example temperature-controlled system is described herein. The system can be used for delivering a thermoresponsive polymer to a treatment site, for example, during an RF ablation procedure. The system can include a syringe capable of maintaining the thermoresponsive polymer liquid at a temperature below its liquid-solid phase transition temperature.
Syringes with mixing chamber in a removable cap
The present invention is directed to a multi-compartment medical device for segregated storage and on demand mixing of at least two components and expression of the resulting mixture from the device. The mixing device comprises a syringe having an open end and outlet and containing a first component; and a cap with a fixed outer body and an expandable chamber contained therein, wherein said cap is removably attached to the outlet of the syringe and a cross-section of the cap is larger than a syringe cross-section and the cap is shorter than the syringe.
Kit For Treating or Relieving Pain at Incision Site Following Surgical Procedure
The present in relates to a kit for treating or relieving incision site pain. According to the present invention, there is provided a kit for treating or relieving postoperative incision site pain, which makes effective treatment possible by injecting a pain relief drug or a treatment drug into a surgical site in situ after incisional surgery during an incisional surgical procedure, and stably and slowly releasing the drug.
MEDICAL CONNECTORS CONFIGURED TO RECEIVE EMITTERS OF THERAPEUTIC AGENTS
In some embodiments, a medical fluid connector is configured to receive an emitter of therapeutic agents to be emitted into a fluid pathway within the connector, the medical fluid connector comprising a proximal female end, an intermediate region, a distal male end, and a fluid pathway extending from the proximal female end, through the intermediate region, to the distal male end. A retaining structure is positioned within the intermediate region. The retaining structure is configured to securely receive an emitter of one or more therapeutic agents in a position and orientation where the fluid pathway is configured to convey fluid moving longitudinally through the fluid pathway directly into a proximal region of the emitter, around one or more lateral surfaces of the emitter, and toward the distal male end.
Syringe-connector device for the separate administration of controlled quantities at least two products in a single injection
The invention relates to a syringe-connector device comprising, in particular, a hollow plunger including an open inner channel, which plunger can move inside a reservoir, said reservoir being open at one end in a distal connection, for the separate administration of controlled quantities of at least two products in a single injection.
MEDICAL PLUG DELIVERY DEVICES WITH A ROTATABLE MAGAZINE AND RELATED COMPONENTS AND METHODS
Medical devices for delivering compositions or medical articles to a patient are disclosed. The medical plug delivery devices can include a fluid delivery device (e.g., a syringe), a frame, and a rotatable magazine. The rotatable magazine can include a plurality of chambers that each hold a composition or a medical article (e.g., a medical plug). By rotating the rotatable magazine relative to the frame, material within the chambers of the rotatable magazine can be sequentially deployed to a patient.
Sealed Medication Dispensing and Administering Device
A sealed medication dispensing and administering device has a syringe, a plunger, a connecting holder, an elastic valve, and a liquid stopper. The syringe has an outer barrel having an air inlet tube and an inner barrel inserted inside the outer barrel and having a medication inlet tube. The plunger is inserted within the outer and inner barrels. The connecting holder is connected to the syringe and has a connecting cover with at least one outer connecting hole and two piercing needles respectively piercing inside the air inlet tube and the medication inlet tube. Inner spaces of the two piercing needles communicate with the at least one outer connecting hole. The elastic valve selectively covers the two piercing needles. The fluid stopper is disposed within the connecting cover and blocks one of the at least one outer connecting hole and the inner space of the air inlet tube.
INJECTION APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR USE
An injection apparatus for sequentially injecting a patient with at least two medicaments may include a hand-held unit comprising a grip for being held by an operator, a single needle, a base unit coupled to the hand-held unit via at least one connecting tube, at least two containers for holding medicaments removably coupled to the base unit, and at least one pump. The at least one connecting tube can be flexible enough to enable easy maneuvering of the hand-held unit and rigid enough to prevent widening of the tube due to inner pressure when medicaments pass from the containers to the hand-held unit. The injection apparatus can be used to administer the at least two medicaments sequentially at different injection points.
SYRINGE WITH MULTI-STAGE FILLING AND DISPENSING
The syringe includes a hollow body with at least one free-floating piston and a plunger within the body, with the piston between the plunger and a proximal end of the body. A manifold is provided lateral to the body. The manifold leads to an input/output tip. The manifold includes a front port located between the piston and the proximal end of the body and a rear port spaced from the proximal end of the body. The manifold includes at least one flow path leading from the input/output tip to at least one of the front port and/or the rear port. A first fluid fills a rear chamber distal to the piston and then the manifold is adjusted to fill second fluid into a front chamber proximal of the piston, and then the manifold is adjusted to allow sequential delivery of the second fluid and the first fluid.
